We called idoweddinginvitations for their scroll invitations. Fiona was friendly and upbeat until we had paid her the "non returnable" deposit. A whole week after I sent her the information for our invites I called her to find out why the delay....sounding slightly worse for wear so told me "oh, I forgot"!!!!! No excuse no reason. She just wasn't that bothered now that she had our deposit. When she DID send the proofs -nearly 2 weeks later-they were not what we asked for!! When we tried to... (read more)

I've just found this review and find I must defend my reputation! I think I know which customer and yes it was inexcusable that I mislaid her folder and hadn't put her name on the board. Not sure about the "dodging phone calls" or being "worse for wear". Perhaps she rang on a Sunday evening after I'd been out with friends. It's about the only time I'm not working on someone's order.
I have had hundreds of brides as customers and since 2005 only had 2 customers that have not been entirely satisfied with the service I provide.
As regards the £25 non-returnable deposit, this is my normal practice as it means I can do all the work on the proofs which are made up and sent to the bride to check. I don't think this is unreasonable, it just means I'm getting paid for the work I do. If some one decides to cancel you have still still spent time working on their invitations and should be paid for that.
I have many very happy customers and bend over backwards to accommodate their wishes, using their own graphics at times and finding obscure embellishments to suite their theme. I've even done invitations in several languages and don't charge extra for this service.
I hope this review doesn't stop you looking at my website and I am always happy to talk to prospective customers.
