    Good Points: Has read all my DVDs so far


    Bad Points: Randomly ejects the disks.


    General comments: This DVD player has some controversy around it. Many say its horrible, but they are probably misusing it. The ONLY problem I have had is it randomly ejects the disks, other than that no problems.

    Absolute garbage, won't play many movies, locks up after hour of viewing many movies it starts playing, nothing can be done except to give it a couple of hours before it will start playing anything again. Worst $22 deal I ever made!

    The Magnavox DVD611 is the WORST imaginable DVD player. It won't play many DVDs, it skips or freezes on nearly every DVD. It won't play the alternate audio tracks on DVDs. It often gets upset and won't eject DVDs once placed inside. It has been nothing but a nightmare since we bought it. We are buying a new DVD player. And even the price wasn't good- $100 for a piece of garbage.

    If you use this piece of trash for more than 30 minutes, it will lock up and stop playing your movie. If the store offers you a new 611 after you file a compliant, do not take it and get your money back. THEY ARE ALL PIECES OF TRASH!!!!

    This Magnavox DVD611 DVD player is an absolute piece of garbage. Won't respond to control buttons, either on remote or unit itself. Happens with almost all videos. Pauses for several seconds on brand new disks. Timer stays on one number. All this with a unit that is less that 9 months old. This piece of junk is comparable to Realistic or FisherPrice.
