Just thought I would drop you a line to thank you and your Company for my son & daughter -in - law's recent honeymoon trip to Cuba. They had a fantastic time and were well looked after by their reps whilst there. The only down side was them being delayed 24hrs by Air France on the way out but they were given accommodation in an airport hotel by the airline and it didn't seem to detract from their enjoyment of their trip. So thank you again Mauricio and I would have no hesitation in recommending you and your Company to anyone in the future.

Mauricio at Quest World Travel had organised what turned out to be a fantastic trip to his homeland. (Cuba- July 2013). A slight hiccup initially with his colleague, however, his hotel recommendations were good and his response to questions were always dealt with promptly and efficiently. Always listening to requests and presenting different options. His colleague in Havana was a delightful woman who was extremely helpful and forthcoming with ideas and suggestions for things to do in and around the city and really knew everything there was to do and see outside of the normal tourist attractions( including where to find a traditional Cuban Barbers). She made us feel welcomed, relaxed and excited to be there and explore the wonderful city without any pressure to buy into the extra activities on offer. Her opinions were honest and heartfelt and she was very patient with our many questions. Also very accommodating with our requests. Our trip to Varadero ( Paradisus Princesa del Mar), although it didn't get off to the best start with the Hotel rooms (very dated and 3*), amenities or the Hotel Reception staff, who do need to learn the proper etiquette in customer services ( greeting guests with hello or even a smile doesn't seem to be part of their training). Quest Worlds representative, was 30mins late for our meeting ( not ideal when you are on holiday and want to be relaxing and not worrying about meetings, however he redeemed himself by getting us an upgrade to the Royal service which was worthy of the 5 star rating of the Hotel unlike the main section of the hotel which is 3 star. Although I am given to understand that they are in the process of upgrading the accommodation. The majority of the staff in the Royal service were excellent, warm and accommodating along with the rooms and facilities on offer. (See Reception Staff comments above) All in all We had such a wonderful time and enjoyed ourselves immensely. So thanks to all the team @ Quest World Travel for organising this trip for us. I will be sure to continue recommending you to friends and colleagues for future trips and look forward to booking with you again soon Kind Regards

We booked our holiday to Cuba through Quest Wold Travel Ltd, they arranged everything and we had the best holiday ever. We stayed at the Parque Central in Havana and then flew out to Cayo Santa Maria and stayed at the Buenavista, which is the best resort ever if you are looking for a quiet relaxed child free hotel. 5 star luxury, can highly recommend.

Would just like to thank Quest World Travel for a wonderful holiday. Everything went according to plan, fantastic hotels and beautiful country. You must add Cuba to your bucket list, such a wonderful country and the people are so friendly. We went on a twin centre holiday, first to Parque Central in Havana for 3 nights, fantastic hotel, would say probably best in Havana! Then we stayed at the Buenavista in Cayo Santa Maria, best resort I have been to. Accommodation was wonderful and so were the staff. Thanks again to Quest World for a fantastic holiday. Its set the standard for all my future holidays.

I am writing this review to thank Quest World Travel for organising my dream holiday to Cuba. From the very first conversation I had with Jose online I was confident that my holiday was going to be personally tailored to my needs and I was right. He gave me a lot of insight into both Havana and Varadero and helped me to choose the best hotels in each location. I stayed at the Parque Central in Havana and the Blau Varadero and both hotels were excellent. Mauricio, who dealt with my booking was incredibly helpful. He responded to my e-mails straight away and he was always on the other end of the phone if I needed to clarify anything. I informed him that I am gluten intolerant and he e-mailed me a translation of this in Spanish, which I could use in local restaurants. This was extremely useful as I didn't have a single problem with the food which was a pleasant surprise. Everything ran like clockwork from boarding the flight in Manchester to leaving Varadero. The private transfers were included in the price of the holiday as were the visas. We had the most amazing holiday in Cuba, the weather was wonderful and the Cuban people are some of the friendliest people I have ever come across. I will certainly be booking again with Quest. You will not get better than service than this and believe me I am fussy. Thanks once again guys, this holiday was one to remember.

My 1st visit to Cuba to celabrate my 70th birthday. The service provided by Quest World Travel from the moment that I first made contact to the return to Varadero airport on the way home was faultless. The transfer to the Telegrafo Hotel to Havana was painless and after a long flight was just what was required. The 4 nights at the Telegrafo Hotel was pleasant, located in a perfect location to explore Havana, with a couple of evenings spent watching the enless ebb and flow of the traffic and people meandering past the hotel. The coach transfer to Varadero again was smooth and painless. The 11 nights at the Blau Varadeo Hotel was a wonderful experence, located on the 14th floor with a fantastic view over the lavish gardens and the sea. A most rewarding stay the outstanding feature must be the staff, at all times providing an extremly high level of service. Once again the return transfer to Varadeo airport was 1st class.

Sounds like the other reviewers had no problems with their trip. On the plus side, Mauricio was responsive (until he had our money), helpful and flexible (and certainly good value). The Cuban reps were all friendly and helpful. However, we were rung on our UK mobile at 11pm on Christmas Eve (in Cienfuegos) to say we had no hotel for the following night. I contacted Mauricio by email and phone with no reply - it was several hours earlier in the UK. A non-English speaking taxi driver appeared the following morning and took us to Santiago, where the local rep found us a casa, which was acceptable. I emailed Mauricio again, but have no reply to any communication since payment was made. The moral, of course, is, if nothing goes wrong, you should be fine, but if something does.... PS - thoroughly enjoyable Cuba, despite this experience.

mco Mauricio Just to let you have our comments on the above, which was a huge success. The flight out and back was jam packed but fairplay to Virgin, their seats are comfortable and the staff efficient and smiley, even in in economy. Also, flight out was quicker than expected and indeed the one back was even quicker. We arrived and were told that the Ambos Mundos had an electrical problem (they I suspect had overbooked for two days) and we were sent off to the Saratoga which it was emphasised to us was 6 stars. Well, we had a fabulous room, the hotel facilities were stunning with a swimming pool and bar on the roof. So started off on a high, BUT unfortunately it overlooks an extremely busy square. We had a room that faced this so sleep, with no double glazing, was not a possibility. We had actually chatted to another couple with the same problem and all agreed that the noise stopped for about two hours from say 4 am to 6 am. Perhaps you are already aware of this but you might be careful of who you send there and where their room is, because complaints would be inevitable. Anyway, then on to the Ambus Mundos (we moved on the Wednesday). The position of this hotel is fabulous - no noise and can walk everywhere. The Hemmingway connection obviously brings lots of business and the roof terrace lovely. This is run by a chap who is incredibly efficient and both lunch in the evening, supper, together with the bar, is fabulous. Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel is not so efficiently run, the rooms are grubby, the breakfast grim and it is a real pity because it would be possible, with no cost, to improve things enormously. Please do not think we are blaming you, we are not. I read the reviews and perhaps we were just a bit unlucky. The Santa Isabel is just a half star more and looked fabulous. We had coffee there a few mornings, the breakfast being so grim, and having now read the reviews, it would appear that our judgement was correct. Then, on to the Hotel Blau - GREAT - we loved it there. The rooms were lovely, the food outstanding and all in all the beach week was outstanding. Your agencies there are great, every connection was made just as they said, the service always done with a smile. So, in summary I would be more than happy to recommend you and indeed did. We will definitely go back to the Caribbean and on doing some reading, liked the idea of Trinidad. Not sure you go there but will be back in touch in the future. Thank you. Brenda and Jim Connolly

My husband and I went to Cuba in February of this year and what a unique experience we had. It is certainly like going back in time to the 1950's, the old buildings and streets and great american cars were to be seen all around Havana. Havana is steeped in History and we found out a great deal about this fascinating city and also the surrounding areas. The people, we found, were very helpful and friendly. One thing we noted is that all the school children were immaculately dressed in their school uniform and always looked neat and tidy. We visited the cigar factory and farm and also a rum factory, both of which were intriguing and absorbing to watch and learn how the local people live. Some of the streets looked worn down but in other parts refurbishments were taking place. The architecture of some buildings were amazing. We also visited Trinidad in Cuba and Varadero. Our hotel accommodation was first class having stayed in the Parque Central in Havana, Iberostar Grand in Trinidad and the Blau Varadero. This is truly one holiday which we will never forget and we fully recommend others to visit this lovely country. Thank you Mauricio and your team at Quest for organising this for us.

Hello we returned from our wonderful trip to Cuba last Friday – we left 29 degrees and landed with snow at Gatwick !! What a great trip a wonderful place – friendly people – Havana is an experience not to be missed – and the all inclusive was heaven ……….my better half would go back tomorrow Thank you for all your hard work organizing our great trip J

Cuba was everything and more than we expected. The arrangements/Hotels etc were all first class.Transfers arrived dead on time. Would have liked more time in Havana (but that was our choice)and perhaps a day or two less at the Beach. Having said that the Hotel and Beach etc at Varadero was first class. Great food and nothing to much trouble. The only negative part of the holiday was our experience of imagration and emigration. Both were very long winded, in excess of two and a half hours on arrival and quite distressing after a ten hour flight.

We decided that, if we were to visit Cuba, we needed to see something more than just a beach and we particularly wanted to visit Havana. We started making tentative enquiries and found Mauricio at Quest World Travel really knowledgeable and helpful. He recommended the Pearl of the Caribbean Tour which would take us around the North West of Cuba. This tour starts on a Friday to coincide with the arrival, on the Thursday evening, of the Virgin flight from Gatwick to Havana. We wanted a direct flight from Manchester and, as there are none to Havana, Mauricio booked us on the Wednesday Thomsons flight to Varadero and arranged a car to meet us at the airport and take us to Havana. Unfortunately, we had a 3 hour delay at Manchester so our journey out was very tiring, but at the end of a 22 hour day we still managed to venture out of the hotel to find a small bar to taste our first mojitos! Our hotel in Havana was the Sevilla. Our room was enormous, which was great, but overall the standard of furnishings were tired and there was damp in the bathroom! There was an outside swimming pool which, as we had Thursday free in Havana, we were very pleased to take advantage of after a hot and dusty morning walking around the old town. If we were to visit Havana again, we would probably insist on the Parque Central. The doorman at the Sevilla organised us an open top 1952 Buick for a one hour tour of Havana on the Thursday evening. At only 30 CUC this was an absolute must. We asked the driver to end the tour at the Hotel Nacional where we had dinner, and it was very interesting just walking round this historic hotel. The Pearl of the Caribbean Tour proper started on the Friday morning. We were very lucky – there were only the 2 of us on the tour. Kenny, the guide from Havana Tours, was excellent with a good command of English, and we always felt safe with our driver, George. The two of them really did go out of their way to look after us and took us to additional places e.g. the beach when we were in Trinidad, to an open air music/dance evening, etc. Day 1 – Friday – we walked all over the old part of Havana, visited the Havana Club museum, the hotel where Ernest Hemingway stayed, went around the museum of the revolution, etc., etc. We also got the opportunity to buy cigars. After lunch (n.b. all meals on the tour were included in the price), we went to the other side of the river and visited the fort and saw Che Guevara’s office with excellent views of Havana. Overall a really interesting (if tiring) day! Day 2 – Saturday – we travelled to Santa Clara where we visited Che Guevara’s mausoleum. Unfortunately the museum was closed. We also visited the spot where the train carrying ammunition for Batista’s troops was derailed in the defining point of the revolution. The carriages of the train have been converted to a museum so we had a look around there. We then continued to Trinidad. The Grand Hotel Trinidad is fabulous, definitely the best hotel of our holiday - a shame we only had 2 nights there. However, there is no swimming pool which would have been nice. The restaurant was very good and generally the standards of this hotel were what we would expect of a 4 star hotel. Day 3 – Sunday – a guided tour (walking) of this world heritage site. Lovely buildings and pretty squares, etc. The weather turned bad, unfortunately, and we called in at a couple of bars for drinks, with live music (a couple of guys playing guitar and singing) and impromptu salsa dancing! The rain stopped in the afternoon and we were able to spend a few welcome hours on the beach with a dip in the sea which was lovely. Day 4 – Monday – Torrential rain delayed our departure for Las Terrazas. The roads in Trinidad became rivers! A long, long journey broken by a boat trip to a replica stilted Taino Indian village. Very pretty, but the rain was relentless and, despite our rain ponchos, we got soaked! We arrived at Hotel Moka quite late. Oh dear, 3 days there is definitely too much!!! Attitudes are awful - from not being able to book us in when we arrived because the manager was having dinner, to no breakfast on Tuesday morning because of the torrential rain and staff not being able to get in to work. I did manage to negotiate a coffee (not easy) and a cut down version of breakfast did eventually arrive. The food in the restaurant was grim, fortunately we only had dinner there on the first night. That said it is in the most picturesque and lovely area! Had the sun been shining (it rained almost the whole time we were there) and the pool been open (it had been drained), our opinion might have been somewhat different. Day 5 – Tuesday – Visit to the community of Las Terrazas with stops for locally produced coffee and the opportunity to buy locally produced gifts. Also visited the home of Polo Montañez, a famous Cuban singer/musician, who had lived in the community and who was killed in a road crash. After lunch visited Soroa orchid garden and the Cascades el Salto waterfall which were lovely, but again our visit was marred by heavy rain! Day 6 – Wednesday – Visited Pinar del Rio / Vinales, a beautiful lush valley – some fabulous views etc. Visited a cigar factory, took a subterranean boat ride through the El Indio limestone cave system and viewed the Mural de la Prehistoria, but don’t pay to go in (it is quite expensive by comparison to other tourist attractions in Cuba) – you can see the Mural from the road and there really is nothing there worth paying to see! Later we went back to Las Terrazas and, as the sun had come out, had a swim in the San Juan river. Day 7 – Transfer to The Hotel Tainos in Varadero. After a leisurely start to the day, we were delivered here safely by our guide and driver, with a stop on the way to admire some beautiful views. Kenny, our guide, even rang us in the evening to check everything was ok. We spent the last 6 days of our holiday doing little but lying on the beach. Hotel Tainos was ok – food was pretty good, very nice open air entertainment every evening until 9 pm, lovely beach. We didn’t spend any time round the pool as there were very limited sun umbrellas and they were a definite necessity. Our whole itinerary ran completely smoothly and our transfer to the airport at the end of our holiday was no exception. Thanks to Mauricio for his organisation! The balance between the tour and the final 6 days on the beach was just right. We felt that we saw enough of Havana, saw some fabulous old colonial architecture and tropical scenery and got to learn about the history of Cuba and of the revolution. We enjoyed ourselves and retain some wonderful memories of Cuba.

For holidays to Cuba, this agent is the best. They individually listen to your requirements, make suitable hotel recommendations based on their indepth knowledge and personal experience and make all the necessary arrangements. I have no hesitations in recommending them to anyone planing a holiday. The service provided by Quest World was 5* Although we did have a few hiccups on our holiday - we sat at different ends of the plane on the flight out, the taxi from Varadero to Santa Maria broke down, the Melia Cayo Santa Maria was full of mosquitoes and the air conditioning at the Hotel Sevilla in Havana was not working, it all came well in the end. We upgraded to premier class for the return flight, after a two hour wait a rescue taxi arrived from Santa Clara to take us to Santa Maria, mosquito spray was purchased and worked, and our representative moved us to the beautiful Saratoga boutique hotel which had air conditioning - vital in the heat of Havana. Their reps on the ground (Lorenzo in Santa Maria and Sonia in Havana) were excellent and provided the best service possible. Not only were they extremely helpful and efficient but they were also really nice people. Problems are immediately sorted not fobbed off like other agents! First class service - thank you Quest World

I wanted to travel all over Cuba but did not want the hassle of arranging hotels and cars as I know this can be very difficult in Cuba. Quest set up a 4 centre holiday that covered all the main centres (Havana, Santiago, Trinidad, Varadero) and arranged all the travel between. They also recommended certain hotels for location and others because they better suited our family. I think in the 2 weeks we were in Cuba we got a real flavour of the country from the history, streets, countryside and beaches. All the Quest reps spoke good English and made us feel well looked after. Try pleasing 4 teenage girls and 2 parents - Quest did. Great holiday - thanks Quest.

If anyone reading this is either thinking about booking a holiday or honeymoon though Quest World Travel I highly reccommend it. We chose Cuba for our honeymoon and it was the best decision....not only because of the destiniation but becuase we booked though Quest World Travel. Raj Maurette was extemely helpful, when we emailed her, she would answer back with exactly the imformation we needed and was very knowledgable. It also took us a while to decide on our package and she was very patient. Deciding our own package is another great advantage and it can suit all budgets. We had such a fantastic time in Havana and Cayo Coco, both hotels were excellent. Conde de Villanueva was full of character in beautiful old Havana and Melia Cayo Coco was perfect for the beach and relaxing with so many things to do and the food was fantastic, we would stay in both of them again and again! Everything was very well organized with our transfers too, they were either on time or early! It truly was the best holiday/honeymoon ever and Cuba truly has a special place in our hearts forever, it is full of colour, music and many things to do.

Dear Marvin Thank you so much for organising such a wonderful holiday in Cuba. Everything went like clockwork. Cuba is fantastic - the best holiday destination I have been to. Both hotels were excellent. The Telegrapho was particularly good in a perfect location in central Havana. Much better location than the hotels in Mirimar. Blau Varadero was excellent too - lovely bar, pool and beach. Please thank Mauricio for his advice on Cuba. I am so glad we spent the extra day in Havana - a great city. The Vinales coach trip was very good and the 2-hour Havana car ride in an open-top 1957 Ford Fairlane was a must-do - we saw all the sites. Thanks, too, for the welcome home gift. I will make a mohito as soon as it stops raining - you have to have sun to enjoy a mohito. Kind regards Chris

We booked our holiday to Cuba through Quest World Travel. We planned to stay three nights in Havana and four nights in Varadero. Quest World Travel were fantastic in sorting everything out, the whole holiday went by without a hitch. The transfers between the two destinations were seamless, the hotels were fantastic and the communication from the guys at Quest World Travel before we went was great. All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone planning a trip to Cuba (and you really should go as it is amazing).

Hi Marvin! Just wanted to say that we had a great time in Cuba! The organisation of our holiday went very smoothly with no trouble and all went very well with the transfers. The hotel Parque Central, in Old Havana, was excellent, very well located with lots restaurants and bars nearby. The Blau Varadero Hotel was also great and is right on the most beautiful beach/sea I have seen! There was plenty of food and drinks, we eat so much! Thanks for all your help in organising and planning and thanks for the litttle bottle of rum we got from the post. We definitely will recommend your services to our friends.
