“Rent-a-wreck”

Hard to say where this 4 year old car wasn't damaged. Paid 20 Euros in case of needing to go on toll road. told if not used, would be refunded - still waiting over 2 weeks later for refund! go to Algarve twice per year - will ensure Masterkings given wide bearth in future. (read more)

Booked a 2 week car hire (Christmas) pick up Faro through Atlaschoice at a cost of £62 total. We had to collect from Masterkings, rep very efficient,he asked about going into spain and also explained tool roads. He explained car older and lots of scratches. Paperwork with diagram of car showed marks all over it. We did check car and were quite happy all damage and more shown. Had 3/4 tank of fuel return with same amount. Went through travelsupermarket.com and booked a ford focus estate or similar car. Got a confirmation that a firm call Enjoy Car Hire will procure the car from a firm called MasterKings in faro. I checked their reviews and as it was poor - called Enjoy in UK asking to cancel my reservation. I was reassured and told that there would be nothing to worry about. “We Felt Conned and Ripped Off”

My wife and I travel to the Algarve every year for a holiday to her parents holiday home; each year we use Economy Car Hire to book a hire car really successfully...this year we used them again and was provided a car by MasterKings; the service was totally unprofessional. We hired a car through Drive On Holidays who outsource to MasterKings at Faro airport. We arrived dead on time to fine the Master Kings rep was not there. Tool 30 mins to arrive and then a further hour to process the 3 other people in front of us. The car was a battered wreck - one tyre was so bald there was canvass coming though. “fish for the rip off”

Rented one of their racks economycarhire.com for almost nothing and should have known better! They tried to cash my card for tyres damage for about 300€. Good my bank denied the payment. 100% sure the car had mo puncture or flat tyre. Called to their office but apparently owner nevet in. Not recommended at all! (read more)

we hired a Polo from kings through Atlas choice for 39 days at a remarkable price of under £6 a day. We picked up at Faro airport with out any problems from a very polite and efficient lady. “Masterkings are not trustworthy--they will rip you off!”

My husband and I went to retrieve our rental car from Masterking's car rental at Faro airport in Portugal and the rude woman that worked there instantly started warning us that our FULL COVERAGE insurance didn't actually cover anything in the car or the tires, windows, locks etc. She said that although we paid for FULL COVERAGE, if anything happened to anything but the body of the car we would be responsible. Totally agree. We were charged 200 euros for a damaged lock, did not even use the lock, we had a remote key! Please, please be warned Do Not Use Masterkings, absolutely terrible.

masterkings are sharks we were charged 400 euros for tye damage we did not do even if we had done the damage it is not 200 euros for a fiesta tyre dont bother reserving a child seat it probably wont be there when you pick the car up make sure of your insurance and take photographs of any scratches or damage before signing and make the hirer agre this with you (read more)

We hired a fully inclusive Ford Focus through Dovehouse Travel (UK).On returning the car to Faro airport last week the Masterkings rep said that we had damaged one of the tyres. She tried to charge us 300 euros, but after arguing with her she reduced the cost to 180 euros. We know for definite that we did not damage that tyre. Beware of Masterkings make sure you take lots of photos and inspect the car on collection. I would not advice anyone to hire a car from Masterkings
