An appointment was made, and the operative, after phoning in advance, arrived well within the advised time frame. He was most polite, and after checking to see if the replacement screen which he had, was the one required, commenced the work. After completing the installation, he carefully cleaned all the glass, and advised what should be done to ensure proper bonding of the screen, ie. do not drive the car for at least one hour or preferably two. “Gross overcharging”

My Daughter was charged £310.00 for a replacement windscreen for her 04 Ford Focus Finesse. When I checked the price with 3 other Windscreen Company's, i learnt that the the most expensive was £154.00 inc VAT <:-< SO DO NOT USE AUTOGLASS UNLESS YOU CHECK OTHER SUPPLIERS FIRST ! “Damaged my car”

So, after Autoglass came to repair my windscreen they actually damaged it to the point where I considered it not safe to drive. The technician then ordered a new windscreen to be fitted, pointing out that I had an antennae within the windscreen. So, the Autoglass technician turns up a week later to tell me he's got the wrong windscreen. Not an uncommon thing looking at your "visitors posts" on your Facebook page. Poor Service from this Company, Booked for a new windscreen on Monday appointment for Friday, I rang them on Thursday to confirm and was told all was ok, Friday came and no one turned up, I rang 3 times and was promised a call back that never happened, They eventually told me the fitter had a family bereavement far enough, Then the next chap told me the screen came through damaged !! Booked windscreen repair on Friday afternoon said they would come Wednesday morning.They took payment over the phone on booking. Waited all of Wed morning no one turned up. Phoned and they said it was over looked and would come Friday morning. Waited all morning then had a phone call saying no one was coming now and they could do it in two weeks. “fitted incorrect windscreen again”

Despite being told when booking that we needed a 4mm accoustic windscreen they supplied and fitted a 3mm thick screen which dropped in the 4mm wide mouldings to leave a 2mm gap at the top of the screen! The screen vibrates when driven above 30mph. Despite all this the mechanic said oh thats ok! There is now no structural integrity from the loose fitting screen. It is dangerous!!! Why can't they supply and fit the correct windscreen for the car, its in the handbook! This also happened 2 years… Read Full Review

Screens have to be a minimum 4mm thick by law and wouldnt pass safety standards if not. If theres a vibration something is ill fitting and needs looking at which your warranty will cover. Depending on your vehicle they may well be meant to be a gap at top. The screen will not butt right up to roof otherwise it couldn't be removed without damaging the paintwork.
Identifying of screens nowadays is not easy with some current volvos,mazda and ford having over a dozen variants for one model
