I had contacted my insurance company due to a crack in my windscreen and was automatically put through to autoglass with no option to go with anyone else, this should have sent alarm bells ringing immidiately. If a company automatically has business through a contract it usually makes them lazy and non-plussed about the customers which was certainly the case. The worst company I have ever come across and I have encountered some idiot companies. They basically have admitted they cannot cope with the workload. If you have no window at all, as it was been smashed out they will come out and put in a temp window.......about 10 days later. They will have you on hold for up to 30 minutes and come back with 'someone will call you back'. You can talk to 5 different assistants and get a different answer from each one. Taking over 3 weeks to order a window in then getting the tint wrong then sending technicians out with the wrong facilities this service is utter rubbish! I would not recommend autoglass at all! First guy very nice but could not undo screw on my car, my husband did this himself when he got home from work, had to make another appointment.(phone calls not always returned and kept waiting on phone ages). 14 days, 15 calls, 10 unkept promises from members of staff, 25 minute wait for customer services not to answer. 1st appt cancelled due to broken part, 2nd appt engineer turned up with wrong screen, 3rd appt engineer turned up with wrong screen. Customer service do not answer thier calls, no one calls you back. Autoglass caused us so many problems we got referred to a local company who replaced the screen in 2 days. Can't say that I have been impressed with autoglass and hope to never have to use their service again. I finally had the correct glass fitted on the third attempt. For a company which this is their speciality I wonder how they are still in business. The 3 fitters were all amazing and they couldn't apologise enough. took about an hour on hold before someone spoke to me about my windscreen booked an appointment then was told ill be put through to another department so they could take my payment got cut off before it was finished rang again waited on hold for about twenty mins guy answered and said because I had been cut off I could pay cash when the job was done bloke came to do job week later but had wrong screen had to make another appointment then week later come to job wrong mirror fitting couldn't do… Read Full Review

First of all takes 30 minutes to get through to Autoglass call centre - not sure where they're based but it sure isn't the uk. Autoglass can't give a definite time when they will arrive - just a 5 hour window. Guy turns up an hour early - while I'm in a meeting in work because I didn't expect him to arrive then. I work away a lot and have very limited time in one place so used the on line booking service to book ahead. Total waste of time! I called on the morning of the appointment to check timings to be told that the on line system is provisional only and not a definite booking. Booked in to get the crack on my windscreen repaired and was told that they would be here between 5pm-8pm on Friday 1st of May. I waited in all day for them. No one turned up at all. I decided to ring and ask what was happening and they told Me that they would ask if the Man was running late and ring me back within 10 minutes. No one rang me back at all. I have been instructed to use this company twice by different insurance companies and both times there service level has been diabolical. The first time after making an appointment and taking the excess they called back to say there was no glass in stock, obviously a ford fiesta is an unusual car and offered to fit it in a couple of days. “Terrible customer service after fitting.”

Although Autoglass needed several days before they could fit a standard Ford Focus windscreen, the engineer did a reasonably good job. However, after a couple of days it was clear that some further work was needed to the trim/skirt below the windscreen. The only way to speak to Autoglass is to go through to the number for new orders which they will answer quickly. They said they would email the after sales department but I heard nothing. Given wrong information on first phone call and didn't receive an email confirmation...phoned again to confirm all was ok but got told customer service would call me back in 24hours. They didn't. Phoned again and had to cancel appointment and MOT for the next day...made new appointment but still no email. Worried to whether or not technician will actually turn up. My mobility car window was broken on 13th April. It took Autoglass till the 15th April to cover it with plastic. Repeated calls to their helpline ( providing you could get through to them, one day I was on hold for over 10mins when I hung up) always resulted in the same response "we will get back to you in two hours" which they never did. Reported 12 inch crack in windscreen on 21st of April told someone would ring me in four hours to make appointment did not receive any call, so I rung them to be told reason no one called was because windscreen was not in stock and told to use car as windscreen would be safe.
