I was still on the internet having just completed the form for a quote, when the phone rang and it was an advisor from Policy Expert. We went through the whole application together, she answered any questions I had quickly and professionally. There was other cover I was offered, which I thought about for a few moments but declined, there was no pressure put on me to rethink this, which I was pleased about. “Worst Insurance Company - claims are very poorly handled.”

I had a pipe burst in the bathroom. Policy Expert and Trinity Claims handled the case. Firstly, the Water damage the excess is a compulsory £600 - the highest I have ever seen. Make sure you check before you sign up - I did not and this doesn't appear on comparison sites. Then somehow, Trinity claims decided internally to shut my claim assuming I wouldn't want the £1,400 compensation as my premium would go up next year! Did a price comparison for my home insurance and agreed to phone contact from first two. Within 10 mins I was rung and talked expertly through the policy. The saving was incredible and I am very happy with the service. If I didn't understand anything it was carefully explained. My mobile signal was rubbish so was rung back on my land line. was expecting you to set up a direct debit payment i have recieved the close brothers mandate and dont find their terms and conditions acceptable. expecting me to sign a form saying that i could pay them up to 13968 pounds no thank you .they dont seem very trustworthy to me . the salesman carl was ok but i now find having read the close brothers terms that this is unacceptable .. so now i will have to pay in full rather than installments to avoid problems with this company. … Read Full Review

I raised an issue in early January after discovering a mistake on a "What you told us" form - where it showed my building as listed, but the grade not listed and should have read as listed building - grade 2. I raised a query on this as I was charged extra for this genuine mistake which I belive could have been avoided if the software was written correctly. Re: Home Insurance - Buildings only (1) If you leave your customers hanging on the phone because you are "busy" or are receiving "an unusually high number of calls" i.e. what happens usually, you should give them a freephone (0800) number to call so that you don't keep customers waiting at their expense but at your own expense.
