I bought an unlimited pass for 1000 also and only had 1 treatment! i called up the citizens advice and they gave me the number to contact the insolvency service on 08456029848, i spoke to them explained the situation and they informed me that on the 16th of July the company has a hearing and is going to be wound up to determine what is going to happen next. I also paid them 200 pounds in cash for six sessions of IPL, of which I've only had 1. (My next appointment was due this week, but of course they are now closed - I only noticed last week when passing the shop and after several unsuccessful attempts to call them started coming across all these horror stories online) They spun me the same story about the card machine too.!!! Fuming. Thanks for the info for CAB and the insolvency contact - I will be on to these first thing tomorrow.

After several failed attempts to make an appointment finally got one for today because I contacted a member of staff on the mobile sadly I found out that the company has gone bankrupt and the other 4 treatments I was entitled to I can no longer have. Hi every one I went with my daughter yesterday to have a massage that I had bought from groupon. As we had read so may terrible reviews saying if you turn up late they cancel your appointment we arrived extra early only to find that the shutters of the shop were down and the people in the shop next to the salon said it had closed the day before. I wasn't surprised as I had spent two days trying to contact them. My advise is get onto groupon and get a refund ASAP (read more)

On November 2011 I purchased a voucher for Six Sessions of (IPL +RF) that cost £129 and since the beginning I have experienced the impossibility to book appointments online and the inability to contact telephonically because the receptionists of La Beaute Clinique do not pick up the phone. It seems that they have oversold their services through Groupon and they cannot cope with the demand. I tried to rebook an appointment and could not get through on the phone. I went down there and complained and they said they answer the phone all the time.
I asked to speak to the manager and as I was waiting you know what i did? I phoned them from my mobile 6 times! Right there in front of them and they did not pick up the phone once.
I told the manager that the receptionist was way out of line and that they better sort out my appointment immediately.
He did.
On the plus side I completed my whole treatment with some really lovely women (who often gave me a cheeky area for free!) and my legs are now 80% hair free!

I bought a 6 session IPL deal with Groupon - BIG MISTAKE!!. On my fourth session, i got burnt by one of the therapists (i'd be keen to know what training these people have had). I emailed the clinic and was told that i could not get my money back. I wrote to Groupon who gave me my money back immediately (after seeing photos of my burns). Tonight, I was exactly 12 mins late for my treatment (laser hair removal and yes, it was a Groupon). I was held up on the tube. Despite there being nobody waiting, they refused to fit me in. Ok except last time, they kept me waiting at least 30 mins. The double standard made no impression on the supercilious, unhelpful and frankly over made-up receptionists, one of which turned out to be the assistant Hitler - sorry, manager. Hmm, people on this thread may be interested to see that La Perle no longer seems to exist, however La Beaute Clinic is now operating from exactly the same address with the same photos of the clinic on its website. I bought 6 sessions of IPL for £240.00 three months ago, i first walked in to the clinic and it looked very nice and professional. The receptionist was very helpful convinced me to but it the 6 sessions, she booked all my appointments for days that i was able to make it for which i was very happy about. we do not expect 5 star treatment- this was not even 1 star treatment. what you expect it is to receive the service you paid for. if it does not work, which this does not at this clinic, then it isn't worth a penny.

I would highly recommend anyone wishing to use this clinic to read this review first. I booked some ultrasound cavitation treatment through Groupon - 5 sessions including a 10 minute consultation a few months back. OMG that's terrible! Customer service is totally non existant here. I'm waiting for a refund from them, first cheque they sent me was for the wrong amount so I sent it back. 3 weeks later... nothing. Over the last few months I have tried in vain to contact them to book a hair removal session. The phone is either busy or ring with nobody answering it. I finally managed to get hold of someone, I was told to call back later! The little I got to speak to the person who attended my phone call was very disappointing. I did find that particular staff rude and very unhelpful. Lucky you if you manage to get through and book yourself an appointment. I personally have given up. (read more)

The whole experience was disappointing and makes me concerned about buying offeres from Groupon again. The couples massage was to include a glass of champagne on arrival. After being kept waiting we were given a warm glass of what tasted like sweet sparkling wine in a wine glass not a flute! the two men conducting the massage did not introduce themselves or ask if we had any medical issues or allergies, they and were not interested. I had a very similar, disappointing experience with the couples massage including the cheap sparkling wine in equally cheap wine glasses dumped by the sink, the reduced treatment time and poor quality massage. On top of that the floor where the treatments were carried out smelt of cigarette smoke and I could hear quite clearly someone vomitting in one of the toilets. One of the worst massage experiences ever.

Just a short and snappy review here but after I booked my teeth whitening from Groupon for La Perle I decided to have a quick search for reviews and found some of the most horrible ones! I was soo put off I almost didnt bother going...but I'm so glad I did! - First it's very difficult to contact the clinic to make an appointment. - Staff and especially the manager guy at the reception are rude and interested. - Staff has always kept me waiting, while they are having a chat behind the reception desk - where everyone can see them. Have just written a similar review- I have had 5 treatments and wont bother with the 6. its not working as they cant be bothered. i had bikini and underarm and they do it all in under 10mins- its a farce. complete waste of money. i have the ideal skin and hair type so it is a complete con.

My first time contacting La Perle clinic, they said their booking system was not working, eventually someone called me and booked the appointments which would not start until a month later Within a course of a month, my schedule changed and I needed to change the bookings. I booked one of the Groupon deals a while back and after calling both their numbers for 4 weeks solid (several times a day every day) and not getting through a single time to be able to book the initial appointment I ended up contacting Groupon and got my money back. After reading your review I'm glad I ended up cancelling the whole thing, they don't sound like the kind of place I want to have any kind of treatment at.

I totally agree with you ... I booked 5 sessions but I now think that the first two sessions were a steal.
The first two sessions I could not feel anything. However on the third session onwards, they used a different machine. This one was very noisy and very warm. I am thinking of reporting them.

APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
It all started when I got an IPL Laser Hair Removal voucher on Groupon in February. I first called to book - what I thought will be - my first appointment for the end of Mar (i.e. 5 weeks later as I just had a wax). However, I was never told that this indeed will be a patch test (for which I could have come without waiting for 5 weeks as there were appointments available within 2 weeks time).

I agree, I was unable to get through for weeks making me think it was a scam. I have just had my second appointment for IPL and they have burned my skin. I have had laser treatments at more reputable companies and the staff here are not competent. They do not record the intensity etc and have no notes on the clients treatment.

I have just seen the 6 IPL sessions for £129 on groupon and was so close to purchasing it.
Thanks to some of these reviews I think I'd rather not waste my money and risk my health.

Hi guys,
I bought a voucher for a full body massage through Groupon. When I contacted La Perle Clinic for an appointment, they asked for a voucher code, which I provided. Later they charged Groupon for my service, but disappeared shortly after and I never could get in touch with them to arrange my treatment. It's simply a daylight robbery...
