i have clearly booked 2 adults and 3 kids and the hotel rates show $72 for a deluxe room excluding service charge, while doing the booking i even include in the special request that its our first time in the hotel and we are planning to celebrate our birthday in the hotel. but when i finished the transaction it only shows on the itinerary, guest for 2 adults! how did it happened? Staff as guy should stay or overnight in mix Dom. To protect girl who stay in the room feeling comfort. Guy staff should stay in guy guess room. Whole night on the light in room, feel like others guess in same room also feeling not safety therefore on the light whole night no people willing off the light ! Why does Agoda allow you to go through the entire booking process thinking you know the cost, then dependant on external factors add between 15 - 20% to the price at checkout for Tax, Service Charge, Hotel Tax?? booked 4 rooms on Agoda.com for an itinerary that was cancelled due to reasons out of my control. when I got through to hotel to cancel reservation they redirected me to Agoda to cancel and claim refund Agoda will not refund even though I am cancelling the booking BEFORE the date of the booking. It was not the first time I used agoda to book a hotel and so far there was no problem but once I had some trouble I have to say the customer service was terrible. I travel a lot private and for my work. Its very seldom I have to change the date or cancel a booking but this time I had to do both first changing the date and than canceling the booking. It was for free which I think is a nice offer but once you advertize it it should work. Maybe because of the change in date before there was a bug… Read Full Review

According to the reviews I read from travellers, Agoda is reliable for booking hotels. But for a very nice place but not so famous resort, they don’t acknowledge the room rates in Agoda. I signed up and booked a room which is around 40%off including the 12%tax and the 10% service charge 2days before the trip. but i am upset with agoda tricky booking information. i used to book hotel icon bangkok for 2 people. it showed 2 guests maximum at the time we booked but our booking result shown the room is for one people only. we contact agoda immediately to ask about this problem and we have been told to pay extra 800 baht in order to add 1 more guest. i was furious and brought this up your management team. Rooms r small , they fooled us by web pictures, staff are rude , dirty rooms and towels .. Beach and pool smell like garbage or animal Leftovers . Being that I use Virgin and their frequent flyer program, I have to use agoda sometimes. The website is very restricted, ie; sort menu doesnt include price selection and other commonly used items; the drop down maps are annoying because there is a permanent pop up of every hotel the curser floats over, have to move away, avoiding any other hotels, then click the empty are for the hotel info to drop down, only then can you see the map again. "misleading CS email" on 7th Apr 17:00,CS emial me that I had 48 hrs to resend my credit card information,but they cancelled my reservation 12hrs later, because CS said I didn't repond right away. The fuuny part is that the email system stated that no-reply. Due to flight changes I had to alter my hotel booking by reducing the number of nights by one. I changed my booking on the Agoda website over a month prior to the booking and expected a full refund ($106AU) for the night we cancelled.
