“Pricey but really good”

We previously had a single-cylinder electric softener. We had all sorts of problems with this flooding, stopping working and beeping in the middle of the night. And eventually it packed up completely (leaking from the top) after only 3/4 years. We now have the Harvey M2 MiniMax installed by Capital Softeners. Was quite pricey. But is a nice compact unit, doesn't need plugging in, really simple to use (nothing to go wrong) and really easy to see when the salt has run out and put the new... (read more)

Harvey’s Water Softener. Water is just water right? Well, that’s exactly what we used to think until we had a Harvey’s water softener fitted. Not to get too excited about water, although the difference we experienced with the water quality after having a Harvey's water softener fitted was the difference between chalk and cheese... “Excellent in all respects”

We had a Harveys water softner fitted about a month ago and it has been a great success. the service was excellent and really very efficient. the fiiter did a great job with a minimum of fuss. We have already recommended them to at least three friends 1st Class! (read more)

We have owned a Harveys water softner for less than a month so are still waiting to see what the running costs are going to be. However the service was 1st class. Why did we not get one before? It has been amazing. We live in an area with extremely hard water and have suffered for many years with scaling of our kettle and white goods particularly. Within a week the shower head and kettle had descaled themselves!! We no longer buy bottled water, as our separate drinking water tap gives us lovely clear water instantly. In an area with very hard water this product saves a large amount of washing powder, shampoo etc. It stops hard water deposits building up on the shower and in the washing machine. i would not be very happy living in this area (South Somerset) without a water softener. (read more)

It's very economical with salt and there has not been any sign of calcium in the kettle since we have had it. The showers are sparkling clean! It's much more efficient than our old one. It's slim line shape takes up less room in the cupboard. (read more)

Having had experience of an electric single cylinder softener I'm amazed at how much more luxurious the water is with the M2. Quite apart from the fact that softened water is so good in the bath or shower for dry skin, the soap lathers better and yet lasts longer - you're not rubbing so hard to get that lather. Washing machine powder - use much less and the washing is great. I wish I'd had one years ago. An excellent product which I would definitely recommend to anyone. You don't need to go... (read more)
