Locauto is a criminal organisation. I have very bad experiences with them like many other people. Beware of them, never rent a car. You cannot reach them for complaints, they never answer the phone or e-mails. On facebook you cannot react, only like them. Thank you bribed Facebook! “Hidden charges”

Didn't get the car that I ordered and the one I got didn't have a GPS that I ordered. I was offered a complimentary wireless Router so that I could use Google Maps on my phone. Since arriving back in the UK I have received a €125 bill for the router and for a drop off charge, that they told me I would not have to pay. “The worse car rental company in italy”

We have been going to Italy for the past 9 years and this was the first time we use Alamo (Locauto in Italy) they are so unprofessional. People on the front desk speak to customers as if they are doing the costumer a favor, when you get the keys they barely check the car for damages but when you drop off the car it takes them 15 minutes to inspect the car, with cameras and a special mirror to check under, (they do not do the same when you pick it up) there was a line of 11 cars waiting, it… Read Full Review

“Left stranded with 2 young children at 11pm at Rome...”

I wish we had read the reviews before booking with this company. We arrived at London Luton at 3pm and arrived in Italy at 9pm, our plane was delayed, we then had to wait for stairs, we then had to wait for the baggage - we then got a bus and arrived at 11pm at the hire car location in Rome Ciampino - Hertz were there and thrifty and gold car - locauto had gone home. “The worst experiance”

We rented a car from Locauto in Rome, Ciampino airport. The worst experience ever. The lady called Georgia was the most unhelpful, unpolite and rude person ever. She didn't want to understand the problem (they don't accept debit cards and our credit card had not enought deposit money- they wouldn't want to take a deposit from two credit cards either). “Avoid Locauto-Enterprise Like The Plague. Appalling...”

The service at Rome Fiumicino airport on 1st August 2015 was appalling. We had booked and pre-paid to pick up a car at 15:00. We queued for 2 hours and 40 minutes and I finally signed the forms at 17:33 and received the car at 18:00. The reason? One person at the desk (two later). The adjacent Europcar desk had six workstations and a total of ten people behind the desk - and no queue. “Worst carrental ever!!!”

The price on the car rental was the reason why we choosed Locauto in the first Place. But never again!!!! 4 hours waiting(yes, 4 hours!!!) in the line to pick up the carkeys was an terrible experience in 28 degrees at Fiumicino Airport in Rome. Around the Locauto desk, it was chaos, and only two poor employees was serving the customers. There was a snakeformed line with 12-15 people in front of us. It was really a bad experience. I used europcar.com to book a car in Firenze. It seems that they've out-sourced the rental service to a local car company called Locauto. The shop is small and no one is really willing to take your rental seriously. Staff taking up 20 minutes to deal with one client. Requested a Passat Estate but was given a Fiat 500L, that was fine as there were 5 passengers 3 suitcases and hand luggage. Everything fitted in perfectly. Hired a car for a holiday in Italy. The service at the arrivals desk was very slow with only one person to help. The car we received, although an upgrade was very dirty which meant we couldn't examine the outside. We had the car a week, didn't do a lot of miles and kept it undercover at night. Block cards and accounts after rent.Va if you rent you can wake up with no money even after a long time. “They rip you off with insurance coverage”

We've prepaid a car from LocAuto Turin airport for a week. The price was a reasonable 250 eur. Once we reached the place, LocAuto deck let us know that: 1. there are mandatory chains we must rent for 45 (!) eur 2. Car has no insurance coverage Insurance options were: 250 eur limited coverage OR 450 "not so limited" coverage". Being on a long route with a small kid we decided to pay 250. “Avoid Locauto ”

Locauto is charging their costumers for their own made up reasons, after you are long gone. You are bound to LOOSE a lot of money, time and peace of mind if you rent from them! Avoid Loacuto in all cost! Every one says so! and they are right! I was charged 230 EU without explanation and that is beyond to 200 EU I agreed to pay for a scratch on the wheel hoop. Wherever you travel, DO NOT use Locauto.  They initially undercut other companies, but them they bill you for non existent damages. Locauto is by far the worst car rental agency I have ever used. We rented a car in July 2014. They claim that Italian police has contacted them in order to issue a fine registered on the car during our rental period. That may be true, however, 6 months later we have not seen any evidence of this fine. Locauto has charged our credit card a fee of 48,8 EUR FOUR times regarding this case. 7 * 48.8 euro withdrawals from the account after 3 monts.Nu have evidence.
Should be prohibited from MASTERCARD.

Same experience. I booked the car through Sunny cars. Locauto charged my VISA card 3 times €48.80 for three files I collected within 25 minutes when dropping our luggage at the hotel in the center of Rome. Without telling me the car had no license to drive in the old town. Locauto refers to the so called Special Rental Conditions about these administrative costs. However nothing to be found there. VISA refuses to recover the money. Apparently they value the relation with Locauto higher that their customers.
