I've had the Panasonic GD67 mobile phone for 3 years now, and as technology has evolved since then, this phone has become just a normal phone.

I'm intending on replacing my phone soon though; but overall, it is quite a reliable phone and it is easy to use, but because it is a really old phone, it starts to lack in areas like the signal, and sometimes you can't even send texts because the signal is so bad.

★★★☆☆

written by neil1982 on 28/12/2005

I bought the Panasonic GD67 mobile phone about three years ago now. It is beautiful to look at the front, but the paintwork will need to be protected with a leather cover.

The menus are really easy to navigate.

The back cover clip is quite fragile plastic, and mine broke in the first week.

A main gripe with this phone is that it switches off for no reason. It has never happened when I've been talking, but when texting or just idle - you can put money on it crashing.

The second gripe is that the battery life is so short when making a call. It lasts just over 60 minutes, then one hears the deafening low battery beeps.

A plus with this phone is the vibrate function.

The Panasonic GD67 is nice value for your money. The phone looks nice but because the paint is bad, is will be looking worthless after a couple of months.
I had to send it back for guarantee 2 times. The speaker was broken and the phone switched off without any reason.
The menu is easy to use and the quality of the phone is average.

“I've had the Panasonic GD67 for just over a year now,...”

★★★★☆

written by jenny1000 on 16/11/2004

I've had the Panasonic GD67 for just over a year now, it's a good phone and nothing has gone wrong with it.

It's easy to use and the joystick is good.

I have dropped it loads of times the screen only has 2 tiny scratches on and the phone is not broken at all.

It is fairly small and light - looks quite nice.

It has a nice colour screen.

The wallpapers it comes with are quite good compared to some other phones.

You can change the back cover or put a photo in.

It holds quite a lot of messages and automatically stores sent messages which can be useful when you've forgotten what you said!

However there are quite a few small problems with it too.

When you text it takes a second for the letters to come up on the screen. You can't text very quickly because they just don't come up if you type too many letters in before they come up on the screen.

The ringtones are a bit quiet so a lot of the time I don't hear them. Although they are polyphonic they are really bad - just classical ones and I can't get any more cos I'm too broke for WAP!

It's annoying when sometimes you're typing a message and it just switches off when it has a full battery - don't know why. Also if you're typing a message and you accidentally press the red button intstead of clear the last letter (small buttons and next to each other aswell) it deletes the whole message instead of still being there when you go back into 'create new message'! this is really frustrating when you have to write the message about 5 times!

There are only 2 games and they are so boring.

It could be a bit smaller.

When the battery's very low it beeps REALLY loud for about a minute and it doesn't want to turn off so that is really annoying.

You can't change the front, but that's not that important anyway.

I have to charge it up about every 2-3 days and I hardly ever call people and don't text that much either.

This phone is quite good but I would recommend that you bought a newer phone if you were looking for a phone, you can get them quite cheaply now anyway. I prefer Nokia, so next time I wouldn't buy Panasonic.

“What first attracted me to the GD67 was the design and...”

★★☆☆☆

written by hanselecta on 25/10/2004

What first attracted me to the GD67 was the design and the price. As a student, never having any money, I wanted a cheap yet decent phone and thought this was the one for me. Firstly, when texting, the words on the screen don't actually come up when you press them, there's a delay. The ringtones are really quiet, but get louder as it goes on.. but by that time the person will have called off! The coloured screen is generally good. The menu is easy to use and the joystick to go with it. It stores a lot of messages so your not constantly deleting old ones. But anyway, I'd suggest a newer phone if your planning to buy this now, as it's a bit dated. But I suppose it's good for it's price..I'm getting a new one soon..after a year of having it.

“The Panasonic GD67 is by far the worst phone I've ever...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by RedOnRed on 21/09/2004

The Panasonic GD67 is by far the worst phone I've ever had, which is a shame coz I have a lot of Panasonic products but this one is inferior to the competition. I really can't believe I have the same phone as everyone else here. This is my second one due to the first one needing replacing within weeks and then this one had to be sent off for repair. It takes about as long as a PC to boot-up. Has slow navigation. Poor bundle of ringtones. Watchout if you put it in your pocket with keys, it's scratched to bits in no time, unlike the Nokia that's also in there. It is a very light phone but clearly build quality and robustness has been sacrificed. If you can't get a signal the battery life nosedives.

“I've had the Panasonic GD67 phone for about a year...”

★★★☆☆

written by Golgotha on 28/08/2004

I've had the Panasonic GD67 phone for about a year now. I got it quite cheap, at £90 and brought it to replace my old Panasonic (so out dated I don't think it could be purchased anymore). I've had mixed feelings about this phone since. The good things are that it's attractive, it's easy to use, texting is simple and MOST (but not all the time) phone calls are clear. To top it all, it's light and small. Perfect pocket wear.
Unfortuantly, it often has it's problems. It has a low battery life, and the WAP is time and money consuming because it's so slow. More recently, it oftens cuts out and text messages will NOT delete. You have to keep turning off the phone! It holds 100 names in the phonebook, and holds about 50 text messages. The ringtones are awful. They may well be polyphonic, but they're so quiet that I have to keep my phone on vibrate all the time.
It does the job, but prepare to be frustrated.

written by craig21 on 20/05/2004

On the whole i do enjoy using my Panasonic GD67 mobile phone, and i haven't had any problems really for 8 or 9 months. But i am now experiencing problems with the txt messaging. when i deleted all my inbox and outbox 8 or 9 months in on ownership, the red msg icon appeared in the top of the screen. i cannot now keep more than 15 msgs and i cannot now save outgoing msgs. a friend of mine with the same phone has experienced the same problems. so beware, it is a good phone, but when it goes wrong its awful. i suggest you buy a different phone.

I have also had the problem with the red envelope icon. Does anyone know how to fix this? sometimes after a long period eg a month, it will go away but then come back at random.

The Panasonic GD67 is a very easy to use, I love this mobile phone, so much that I have just purchased a second one, as my first had an argument with the pavement and lost.
colour screen, joystick, changable back cover, nice design, quick charge time etc
Manual very good, easy to follow
plus free downloadable logo's from panasonic box.
I just love the look of this phone, its also very lightweight and easy to use phone, I love it!!!

“Have had this Panasonic GD67 mobile phone for approx 1...”

★★☆☆☆

written by Dane101 on 20/04/2004

Have had this Panasonic GD67 mobile phone for approx 1 year now and was pleased at first with the phone. First I will start with the good points. The price of the phone was quite cheap for what was offered. This phone is was very durable being quite an active person the phone had to be able to take a bit of a beating, and well it lived up to that after surviving many drops it now only has a few scratches. Txt messaging is made easy with T9, and stores words/names on memory for predictive txt. Access to wap is great, by my experience anyway load time between pages is fairly quick. Loud Speaker is useful. Now bad points which is why i am now losing this phone. The polyphonic ringtones are barely audible when there is noise present i.e ants scruttling along or in pocket so have to rely on vibrate. Also could not find any ringtone downloads as advertised. Game downloads were advertised this was not possible. Battery life is very low i now have to charge most nights. Phone now regularly cuts out, this is particularly annoying when your just done finishing a long txt which does not automatically save so your left to start over. Phones stores only 100 names so each time i need to add a name i am forced to lose one. I am afraid cons outweigh the pro's considerably with this phone and would not recommend a phone that becomes pretty much obsolete only after one year. Now i am not one to follow the crowds but will be going back to nokia as previous phones have proved to be alot more reliable.

written by jayt on 14/03/2004

I don't know what everyone is moaning about, I think this Panasonic GD67 is a pretty good mobile phone. I got it for xmas and I admit it isnt the best phone on the market but for a cheaper phone it is pretty good. The only annoying thing is that you cant download any games etc. I do have to admit that the games that come with the phone are brilliant, and hey I think it is worth getting this panasonic mobile phone.

written by GGGaz on 12/02/2004

PANASONIC I LOVE YOU>BUT WHY IS THE PANASONIC GD67 SO RUBBISH!!! I bought my Panasonic GD67 in late November and i tell you something it is rubbish!!! On the Nokia's if u drop your phone or the screen get cracked you can change the front cover. NOT ON THESE. Also the clip on the bottom of the phone covering the charger port would be a brill idea if it didn't fall off all the time and when you have got it open to charge it the phone doesn't lie flat What a stupid idea it should go up instead of down!!! And if i'm typing a text message and it always happens when you are typing the longest text in the world u get to the last letter and it goes off., It comes back on as it would if i were switching it on. So i get really annoyed with it. PANASONIC I LOVE YOU>BUT WHY IS THE PANASONIC GD67 SO RUBBISH!!!

written by chas57 on 02/02/2004

Iv had this Panasonic GD67 mobile phone for roughly half a year and its been good and bad. Firstly it impressed me with its unigue qualities and the polyphonic ringtones. However, the phone started to go a bit downhill for instance, when i came to the decision to change my front cover, I couldnt!
If its value for money your looking for, this is the phone for you, but if you dont have a budget and can afford more expensive phones, look some more as although this is a great phone, there are much better. I expect it will be a while before I change my phone though.

“The Panasonic GD67 was chosen by daughter (age 11). ...”

written by MichO on 16/01/2004

The Panasonic GD67 was chosen by daughter (age 11). Did lots of shopping around. Seemed to be best value & promised to be fun & funky too. Well, she is SO not impressed now. Bought June 03, has been away to Panasonic repairs twice now already 'cos 'phone keeps freezing up. Can't do anything on it when this way. 'Phone returned saying "software upgraded".
Shop sez Panasonic will not replace unless has been sent for repair 3 times & has 3 recognised faults. I say this is not good enough as phone is UNRELIABLE. Want my daughter to be able to 'phone me when necessary, not be stuck in dangerous situation with a FROZEN PHONE. Has anyone else had this problem & response from Panasonic?
Also, can't download from Panasonic website without a password but website will not give a password. It's a lose/lose situation.

Lotus2's Response to MichO's Review

Written on: 06/08/2004

Completely agree. I had a GD67 and encountered the same problems. It came and went to Panasonic 3 times with the same fault and they had upgraded the software. Refund was given after holding my ground. Now, guess what....I bought a GD55 phone and have encountered similar problems!!. Have emailed Panasonic because I don't think it's good enough that they must realise they have software problems but try and fob you off with repairs! No response from them as yet despite them saying they try and reply within 24 hours, and that's been 5 days!. Simply not good enough Panasonic and you need to improve after sales service.

Micho's Response to MichO's Review

Written on: 08/08/2004

Hi Lotus2
Thanks for your comment. Hope you get satisfaction from Panasonic about your GD55.
My daughter's had to be sent away the 3rd time, but thanks to my sympathetic local supplier it was replaced (I think as a gesture of shop's goodwill) & we declined the offer of another Panasonic so they gave us a Samsung which so far has been problem free. At least we had a happy ending but I don't think Panasonic had anything much to do with it!

“Hi There this is going to be my last review about this...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by liamdaly on 24/12/2003

Hi There this is going to be my last review about this Panasonic GD67 mobile phone as it is doing my head in. I am going to tell you all about this rubbish phone. I have had this phone for about a year now, and it's 1 day before xmas, thank goodness, as am going to get a new phone and am going back to nokia as I think they are the best phones. Now, about this phone, I have had so many errors with this Panasonic GD67; I have had errors on messages as I had to send my phone back to Panasonic as before I only could save about one message or some days I could not save any messages as a red message icon came up and I did not even have one messenge in my outbox or inbox. The other error was I could not send wallpapers to my friend who has this phone as when I clicked on the picture, it said I have no pictures even though I have got lots. Next, I cannot go on my wap and get animated wallpapers off wap because when I click save, my phone turns off so I cannot have any animated wallpapers. The last thing is sometimes when I send my friends messages they get them quickly, and other times they don't get them until the next day. When they send me messages, it happens the same way with me and I know it is the phone, it's not my sim card as on my old phone it had the same sim in it and it worked fine. So, that is all of my errors that I have had on this phone, and, like I said, I sent my phone back to Panasonic and got a new one off them and it still had the same problems, so it is a fault with the panasonic gd67s. So, people, I am going to tell you now, if you want to spend your money on this phone you can, but you will wish you didn't. Please listen here: DONT BUY THE PANASONIC GD67S. If someone has got this phone and they think it's cool and have had no errors on it, I bet you will soon as when I had it at first it was ok but then it started to have problems. What I am saying is, if you have this phone, don't think it's cool, just get a new phone before it gets errors on it and annoys you. I mean, it's up to you at the end of the day, but all I can say is DON'T BUY THE PANASONIC GD67S. That's all I have to say. I am going to get a nokia 3510i this xmas, and I bet that will not have errors on it. I hope you have read this review and it has stopped you from buying it. Ok, bye.

written by satanmonkey on 17/12/2003

Whoever tells you that the Panasonic GD67 is a decent mobile phone has obviously spent the last 5 years on the moon. To start with, its cheaply made, plastic covers are held with tiny hooks that developed stress fractures after 2 weeks. The phone is bugged: text to fast and it cant keep up, the phone then flashes and turns off and doesnt even have the decency to save what you'd written so far. its a little like an ex girlfriend, in that it lures you in with its good looks and charm, and then delivers a swift kick to the goolies and runs off with your credit card. Even panasonic gave up on it. its wap capability is embarassing. one letter per second anyone? i wont be buying panasonic again after this. it cant even recieve mms properly. transforming a lovely picture into some blurry mess. seriously, even if someone offers you this for free. say no, it really is awfull

i bought this Panasonic GD67 mobile phone for £129.99 back in july/august at first i was impressed with how you could change the back cover 2 your own designs and i loved the colour wallpapers and the fact you could hold more than 60messages in your inbox, however around october/november time i became really annoyed with this phone the fact it looks like some cheap fone off the market(blue and silver do not go)the battery lasts like a day and constantly beeps when the battery is low!and the games ha..who took time to invent these lack of fun games?the fact u cant download more is annoying, now i am stuck wiv my nokia 3310 until christmas as my panasonic doesnt switch on,and when it does it has a mad fit going on,off,on,off.i also found the phone crashes alot and wap is really really slow and about 99% of the time when im out in public or loud places i dont hear my phone because the polyphonic tones are so quiet, ive been embarassed with this phone and im glad its broken because its the most rubbish phone ever DO NOT GET IT is all i can say you will be disappointed im just lookin foward to getting my £300 samsung v200

“This Panasonic GD67 phone has been good. You have to...”

written by andyuk51 on 26/10/2003

This Panasonic GD67 phone has been good. You have to ask yourself what it is you want from your mobile. If you like a lot of gadgetry then this is not the phone to use. If you want to be able to make and receive calls, text and store a few dates then you might be happy with this. I have found this phone very functional.
Although its seems plasticky I have dropped it a few times and it still works ok so I assume its quite robust! I quite like the little joystick to navigate the options, push up, down, left or right and then press, all with the thumb, it works well.
You are able to change the colour themes from "Wicked White" to "Party Pink" The sound quality is good even with the speaker. Overall its an average phone and if you want a colour screen thats functional then this phone will suit you. BUT if you require a gimick or two then stick to the Nokia range!
