“WASTE OF TIME, MONEY & EFFORT”

I have an ongoing issue with HOOVER CANDY who deal with the repairs for D & G under there extended warranty service. An engineer came out Wednesday and instead of fixing my washing machine it was left in a worse state then it initially was. “Absolute nightmare!”

Our cooker broke down, they have offered to repair in eleven days time, what do they expect us to do? Eat takeaways, eat out? Will they reimburse us? I don't think so! It took a considerable time to get through on the phone, very expensive 0844 number. The insurance is a waste of time I recommend DSG retail who we have our other appliances insured with and they are very reliable and quick. I won't be renewing this policy with D&G !! “Don't use this company - terrible service - waste of money”

After 3 visits and weeks without a washing machine they eventually agreed to replace it. Charged me £140 for delivery, installation and removal of old machine. Took the money but didn't install or remove. Left with two machines in a 1 bedroom flat neither of which I could use! They refused to call back so had to get the old machine out of the flat and pay the local authority to remove it plus pay for installation. They agreed a nominal refund but I'm well out of pocket. They can't cancel the policy, did they replace your machine. You should have gone to trading standards. Just because they write in the policy that they can cancel it does not mean they actually can. They can write whatever they like into these policies, but if it's not reasonable they can't enforce it, it's where your statutory rights come into play. Look at your policy again, call citizens advice and get yourself a new washing machine good luck

“washing machine repair ”

I have a extended warranty on a washing machine and it has become faulty so I rung the repair line on at half 9 on a Sunday as soon as they are open to be kept on hold for 20 mins to finally get through for a 2 min conversation for some one to tel me I can have a engineer in a week I explain I have 3 children and 2 adults in the house to be told sorry the earliest we can have a engineer is Friday so by the time I have paid for the call used a laundrette to have clean clothes my so called… Read Full Review

You must be luck to get someone within a week...!!! I had to wait more than a month to fix my washing machine....just wonder whether there is any use in this policy ......May be due to lack of competition?

They did same to friends daughter. 6 engineer call outs still not fixed , waiting for 7th call out but now written it off. She just wants it repaired. 12 weeks now without a washing machine and she has a 6 year old.

I had 50" TV on repair plan - 3 weeks ago we had a lightning strike in the road and the tv and virgin box were both blown. Virgin replaced the box 3 days later. We are still waiting to hear what is happening to our TV. Ive had TV insurance from D&G for a few years and 2 weeks ago my TV screen became faulty. It was a 55" Samsung LED. I had to call out a repair company authorised by D&G called City Electronics from barking and my god they were appalling, biggest bunch of cowboys ever and why they are used is beyond me. D&G are incompetent have rude inflexible members f staff. They tried to write my cooker off saying part not available and hey ho I contacted the manufactures and the parts are available. We've just had the same issue, 2 repair visits later and the machine is still not fixed as they don't carry the parts, waiting for the next engineer who can't attend until June 6th. So we'll be without a washing machine for a month by the time he gets back. Domestic and General tell us that's ok by them as it's in the small print!
Read the small print or just get a local qualified chap to repair your stuff. Indesit should be ashamed of having this service allied to their brand. Certainly wouldn't buy another plan from D&G and would never buy another Indesit

“the worst Customer Service ever”

Laurel and Hardie could not rival this incompetence. Hours of phone calls to 0844 numbers going round in circles being passed from pillar to post one menu selection after another. Weeks after equipment failure Technician will arrive with the wrong parts and cannot repair item so back to the beginning of rearranging appointments. Needless to say appliance will fail again. Just don't bother with this kind of insurance. A complete waste of time. Like others here my washing machine broke down and, surprise, surprise, the parts are still being waited on three weeks later. I have been with D&G for 5 years now and can honestly say I have always been given an excellent service. My latest problem was a 3 1/2 year old fridge freezer. An initial repair 2 months ago by Hotpoint fixed it temporarily but it packed up again. “avoid d and g..took 3 months to replace my oven door.”

I have had this appliances insurance for 3 years at an increasing price now sround 16 pounds a month. took it out as my oven door fell off. Reported same issue in November and after promises to fix it only came to do thr job on 3rd February the day of my next monthly renewal direct debit by conicidence.
