Have been trying to get in touch with company by phone e mail Web page for 3 weeks no joy engineer fixed new part 21st January and left machine with screeching noise everytime drum turns have had no call back from company been on Web site left 3 complaints in meantime I now have a machine not fit for purpose for the last.4 weeks it is disgraceful and will be cancelling my polices have not anything good to say.about this company or the engineers they send… Read Full Review

“What a Pile of ......”

Have a policy for a fridge freezer. Now on my second fridge freezer from indesit still doesn't work engineer visits in total over the two is 8 in less than two years. Have asked them to change it as I cannot afford to throw shopping away and it only now works for 10 days at a time and the answer is NO. whats the point and would you believe their staff think what I have been through acceptable. “Worse than BT avoid like the plague. ”

Takes ages to get through. Then you get told to call indesit who after 4 menu choices the repeatedly cut you off, when you then choose the wrong choice on menu 4 you get through. Then they offer to come look at your appliance to assess repair in 16 days. Back with D&G now and more nonsense about hotpoint/indesit recall on this machine so they can't look at it. How hot point/indesit can recall a machine made by Maytag/Admiral is simply beyond me. How hard is this.. Give me a local repair guy… Read Full Review

What a bogus company, stay away save your money by the time your appliance breaks you will have enough money to buy two , if you wait for them to repair will be bloody late as you are going to loose your patiance and will cancel the insurance plan !! “Bad service and a Rip Off”

“Terrible service”

We got an engineer on 6/1/16 and discovered we had to have seven parts after washer/dryer went on fire and had smoke billowing out and fused all the downstairs electrics. Told to phone Domestic & General and finally spoke to someone after 80 minutes and told it looks like you should get a new machine. I used them as they offered 12 monthly payments, engineer came out next day to repair and it was worn brushes on the machine. What we then noticed was the laminate flooring was damaged because the engineer scrapped the washing machine across the floor. YOU cannot get hold of anyone over the phone, terminated twice after waiting 30 mins to get through. Logged a complaint online on the 28/1/16 to have no one contact me. As i was paying for repair or replace insurance with Domestic and General I wasn't too concerned when my washing machine suddenly stopped working, I phoned them on the 18/1 and a repair man came out 4 days later. He admitted not knowing what the problem was so ordered some random parts in the hope that one of them would fix it. I have now been listening to the same music and someone telling me that they will get me to the team as fast as they can for 42 minutes..........these people take your money and do not answer the phone when you have a problem. There is nothing I like about this. covered my washing machine for 7 years cost aprox £700 the machine broke down & an engineer reported back & I was told machine not repairable and they would get me a new machine, I asked for the model number & checked price + £249 I agreed but was not happy being told I had to pay £60 to clear the yearly cover + £20 Delivery + £18 installation + £9 to take the old one away, Total £107 take that off the cost of the machine = Value of the machine £147… Read Full Review

I booked under my extended warranty for a repair, TV collected but Customer service from slipshod TV repair company awful, almost 3 weeks later and 2 telephone calls and an email still no TV. Email to Domestic General on Tuesday and still no reply and have attempted to ring them for 2 days to complain about this poor service, am unable to get a reply due to "high call volume" I am not at all surprised if that is the best they can do. Had to wait 3weeks for the engineer to come. He said that the model on the insurance policy is different from that of the actual cooker. He ordered the necessary part and booked for another week later. Called to say that he could not get the part, would need to order it again and would get back to me. My fan oven broke 15/12/2015 rang hotpoint as I was out of warranty for a repair, they transferred my call to domestic & general who they obviously use to book repairs. I explained it was the fan element that was't heating up but the fan was still working. They said the oven could be fixed and an engineer could come Christmas Eve with the new element. Terrible customer service. On three ocassions we could not get through the numbers seemed to be changing. The engineer was so uncooperative, he didn't even touch the appliance and made a diagnoses. “They won't answer the phone”

I have had a problem with my fridge/freezer and have now rang every day for eight days, up to six times a day and still can't get through. I did get through once, was put on hold for 3 hours and then they hung up. I have been on the phone waiting for someone to pick up for 17 hours. The music's terrible, like the service.
