Aterton plays Tamara Drewe, a newspaper writer who returns to her home village to prep her dead mothers house for resale. having left many years before as an ugly duckling, she returns with a new life and a new nose.

being a hottie now she attracts the attention of most of the local men, and a few visitors.

I was surprised by this film but in a good way, the script was good, the humour worked well for all characters involved, and plot was steady and an enjoyable to follow.
