Booked with an Australian lady at Blueseas, brilliant service; my wife requires special assistance for the flight and she went way beyond the necessary, calling the airline to ensure the seats were suitable and advising what mobility aids we could take. Also ensured the hotel bathroom was disabled accessible and transfer was appropriate. For the peace of mind we would certainly use this company again, travelling when disabled can be a disaster and this holiday was spot on… Read Full Review

“Book a holiday with Bluesea Holidays at your peril!”

I recently contacted Bluesea Holidays and spoke to a man. We obtained several quotes for a couple of destinations and settled on Fuerteventura. After a telephone conversation with him, who seemed charming, we booked for a weeks holiday and paid the deposit. Confirmation of the booking and the balance outstanding was emailed to us with him promising to forward bank details so that we could forward payment direct once balance was due. If you paid what you agreed to on the phone, then noticed the paperwork was for a lesser amount sounds like an honest mistake on the paperwork. The main thing is that you paid what you agreed, which seems to be the case? We have used them several times and never had an issue with payments.

Our issue was the way in which we were spoken to when we queried the difference in the figures. Their attitude changed from being very nice to very rude and aggressive. If we had owed them money, then I quess their attitude would have been different. As stated before would never use them again, distinct lack of customer service.

All the calls have been checked and I'm happy that none of our excellent staff have been rude or aggressive. All your emails have been responded to and we supplied you with a copy of the.call in which the correct price was confirmed before the booking was made. We have acted professionally and with integrity ever since you accused us despite the contrary e evidence of making prices up

I beg to differ, two members of your staff were extremely rude and abrupt, as was your "manager" in his email. All we wanted was an answer to the reason for the difference in prices, if the first call had been handled correctly by your member of staff with an apology for his mistake (which you advised us of) the matter would have ended there and that is the big point that you are failing to see.

You have missed out a few points. You neglected to mention that you had an email quote with the correct price. You haven't said that you have a copy of the phone call on which, at the time of booking, you agreed to the correct price. You knew the price when you booked and then because the paperwork was wrong you wanted the sales team member to pay towards your holiday. So, by all means post a bad review but at least put all the facts

That typifies your stinking attitude! We did not expect ANY member of your so called sales team to pay anything towards our holiday, merely explain why there was a difference in quotes, phone calls and final paperwork. But this was too much trouble for you and your company to explain. You even admitted that he had made a mistake with our booking but at no point did you offer any apology for this or the way in which our query was dealt with. I think you should seek to understand the meaning of customer service and goodwill and if you ever find out pass on to your members of staff!

Hi,

Customer Services have passed your email over to me ref your forthcoming holiday to Fuerteventura.

I am very sorry that the initial paperwork sent to you was incorrect but Darren made a clerical error when entering the booking on our system.

You already had an email quote sent to you on the 6th Feb which has exactly the same price on it that has been charged to you when you made the booking on the 7th. That can be resent to you if you require it.

When she rang up to book then Darren reconfirmed the price of the holiday with her (the price being the same as on your emailed quote). A copy of that call, I believe, is already in your possession.

So you were well aware of the cost of the holiday when you booked and agreed to pay that price. That price has not altered.

I apologise for this error and he should have resent a new confirmation but he didn’t realise that an incorrect one had been sent out. Had you checked the confirmation and queried the amount on the invoice when you received it (as it wasn’t what you had been quoted) then we would have sent you a new one.


In view of the above, as you have been charged exactly what he had told you was the cost, then I’m unable to accede to your request for a refund nor are we able to enter into any further correspondence on this matter.

I do hope that you have an enjoyable stay in Corralejo

“Four Nights Budapest Christmas Markets”

Flights with Ryanair better than expected, on schedule and comfortable apart from having to stand for ages at Budapest airport in a cold shed. I booked the Royal Savoy in Sharm El Sheikh on line last night with Blue Sea Holidays. Dear Ms Harris,

When you called a member of our reservations team yesterday she explained to you that the online price was incorrect. You then made the booking online anyway and at that time ticked the box saying that you had read the terms and conditions.

The terms clearly state that we are a travel agent and are not responsible for errors made by the (hotel) suppliers.

You could not have been surprised to recive the call from our reservations manager this morning as that was what you were told would happen before you booked it. As you were made aware of the error before you had booked the Hotel at Luton then we are not responsible for that cost

I am sorry that you feeel upset but do feel that we acted correctly by pointing out the mistake before you booked it.

Your response is wholly unacceptable and you are incorrect. The agent I spoke to on the telephone prior to booking online said quite scornfully and these are her exact words, "oh they do that all the time, allow you to book and then one of the managers calls you to say it is no longer available".
Yes the price she was quoting was higher than online but rather strangely when Joanne called to say that I could pay an additional amount or accept a full refund - she said she would give me the hotel at the net price - it was exactly the same amount. When I told Joanne I had booked a hotel in Luton for the night before departure I was told that was my problem. And you call that customer service. You have a seriously flawed business model and offer absolutely appalling customer service.
This could have been resolved so easily but instead your manager decided to dig in her heels and as a result I have to wait 3-5 working days to be reimbursed. Utterly shocking.

Hi,

I have listened to the call that you had with Lisa, our sales agent, and she did not say anything of the sort. She, correctly, told you that the online price was wrong. You thought she was lying to earn money (see your original post) but actually, as at all othe rtimes we have spoken with you, she was telling the truth. Joanne did not say that it was your problem. She explained that as you had been informed BEFORE you made the booking on our website that the price was incorrect we could not be held responsible for additional charges that you had incurred Again I am in possesion of that call. We made the refund straight away but it is the bank (usually the card holders) who doesnt credit the account straight away.

Despite the allegations that you have made against individuals and the company Blue Sea Holidays and their employees have, at all times, acted correctly and with honesty and integrity.

I have found your responses continue be be wholly unacceptable - the lady I spoke to on the telephone before I booked on line DID say the company does it all time. I was not treated well by your company and as a result am traveling to the same place with another company who has delivered a professional and charming service throughout the booking process. Why not just except this and learn from your mistakes. And train your staff not to upload the wrong info nor say the wrong thing to a customer on the telephone.

I totally agree with your comments about this company. I also have been subjected to their inept staff and lack of customer service. You can see the total lack of professionalism in this company in the responses that they have posted.

Just like to thank Julie Alexander at Blue Sea for sorting our holiday out for 6 family members to Roc Boccaccia Alcudia Majorca just returned from a lovely week away we added two extra people late on and the organised us all to travel together which was fantastic as two elderly parents needed to be looked after. Everything went to plan, flight, transfers and holiday booking. Just returned from a Stag party to Benidorm staying at Maryciel. Initial booking was really good, the advisor was really helpful. We had a slight issue as one of our guests couldn't travel due to a death in the family. The traveller was one of the named people for the rooms.
