“Driveway and facia's done”

After reading the reviews on here I really can't understand why some are so bad as my dealings with heritage have been great. I understand some jobs don't always go to plan but mine went great!! Had my driveway done and my facia's and it has totally transformed my property and had many compliments from the neighbours, very reasonably priced and he workmen worked non stop in awful weather too. Ive just had a hand built canopy fitted by heritage, the fitter was excellent very punctual and cleaned up after himself, it took a little longer than expected 2days turned into 4 but the finish was of a very high standard, if having a canopy fitted ask to use them as we where very impressed. I have recently had my soffits, fascias and guttering fitted and am over the moon! From start to finish everything went really smooth. My mother was there when the surveyor came but she said he was on time and very efficient. The fitters arrived early morning and i was amazed how quick and professional they worked. Poor customer service, very expensive. Found their details in Quick Finder and my wife contacted them to get a Quote while I was at work. We made arrangements for the sales male to come over when both of us were at home. On his way to our house, if my memory serves me right, he rang us about five times before he finally arrived at our home address. Had a flyer out of supermarket of a nice lady handing them out, said someone will call in a few hours to arrange a time and date for a QUOTE. I was still driving home from the supermarket and my phone was ringing. I had a quote off Heritage for my fasia boards and gutters, it was our 2nd quote as we had had one off Amber. We found the salesman Lee very informative, he gave us a choice of what work we wanted, where Amber would only take all the wood off (which was not necessary as our house is only 20yrs old) Lee gave us a price for cutting out any bad wood if there were any, then covering and protecting with a tray under the tiles. Product seems good enough and at a reasonable price BUT check fitting and clearing up of site - will take short cuts,numerous screws,pins etc left over drive. Customer service not really up to standard. If problems do occur you have to keep telephoning in order to get anyone to come out out despite assurances. A ten year guarantee is offered but still waiting for ours to arrive after 4 months. (read more)

Hi, the new roof/fascias/windows/doors etc. are absolutely fine. There were obviously a few small areas where things were not how I would have done them myself but overall I was delighted with the results and the quality of the workmanship from my chosen suppliers.

I recently had an extension roof done by heritage and i have received a 10 year guarantee from the NFRC so Heritage must be part of that organisation or i wouldn't of received a guarantee, think people need to get there facts straight before slating companys.

Hi Bamford1942, I did get my facts straight, but as I said I could only comment on the service I received. None of the documentation provided by Heritage made any mention of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. In fact, I only received a paper flyer with the quote only being hand-written on the back. Sounds really professional to me. I suspect that Heritage Plastics (assuming this is the same company that did your extension roof) may have used sub-contractors for your roof and it is always possible that the sub-contractors are members of NFRC. Anyway, thanks for posting, it shows that people do read these reviews.

PS as an addendum to my earlier comment I checked the NFRC entry for Heritage Plastics and this shows a date of their registration as 24/2/2012 which was long after I submitted my review. It would seem that my facts were correct at the time of my review. To reiterate the comment on my review 'I wish people would get there (sic) facts straight before slating companies'.
