“I bought a TR300 to replace my Getzen which was sent...”

I bought a TR300 to replace my Getzen which was sent away for refurbishment.
The instrument had to fill in for my Getzen over several gigs.
The instrument looks fairly average with a laquered finish which imparts a synthetic/plastic feel to the surface of the instrument.
The intonation of the instrument is very suspect. When tuning a trumpet, it is generally accepted that you will maybe have to pull out the tuning slide as much as 15mm. This instrument is in pitch when the slide is pulled out… Read Full Review

Baconrevolution's Response to Disley Titchbender's Review

First thing. Every trumpet player is different and every trumpet is different. Certain players will have to tune differently because everyone is different. I have used different trumpets and had to also pull out the slide a lot but when another player tried it, it was horribly out of tune for him. It all depends on Embouchure. Second, The 3rd valve falling out without the pinky ring, is a good thing. That means it is a good quality slide. Third, Rapid accumulation of water?? That's your own spit dude. It doesn't just come out automatically. Fourth, Of course the valve set is going to need good quality oil. Otherwise it won't work. The lead pipe thing though, That might be a problem. But otherwise, It's pretty much all you.
