I represent a small museum charity which had been losing a lot of money through being over-charged VAT by our previous gas supplier. Fortunately, Utility Wise managed to get most of our VAT re-claimed which was then used to install a interactive screen in our museum, thus re-investing the rebate. Utilitywise have found excellent gas and electric deals for me on 2 occasions. I know that in theory I could have got the same, or slightly better deals myself (as they must build a fee in somewhere) but I simply do not have the time. The guy told me that he can to send me email and then I have to send them a copy of all the bills, then they will have a look and come back to me. “disgusting welcolme pack”

I signed up with utilitywise a while ago despite knowing that they were earning a fair shilling off me in commision i just could not face dealing with it myself. Anyway after a long process i agreed to join. However when i recieved my welcome pack it contained a full big toe nail in the envelope. I was disgusted. “Why did it take us so long!”

For years we've struggled with gas & electricity suppliers; valuable time being spent on 'hold' & 'in the queue' before actually speaking to someone; time spent trying to make sense of a bill; time spent chasing money owed (though never the other way round!); time spent answering calls trying to 'sell us another/latest product; never being able to speak to the same person; not knowing if the issue really IS going to be dealt with; not knowing we were paying too much VAT - the list goes on. “Don't Bother with this company”

This company has caused me nothing but trouble. They do not do what they are asked to do. I wanted monthly billing and monthly payments. Today I have found out that although my switch took place on 28th August they had not passed on my final reading to the new supplier or sent them the direct debit instructions. Having being inundated with numerous calls from the person I dealt with at Utility Wise I politely told him I was sorting out my own energy tariff only to be lead into their speel of them being able of get me the best tariff and why would I want to waste my time on numerous telephone calls sorting it out myself, when I pointed out it wouldn't be wasting my time on one telephone call he abruptly told me I had wasted his time and put the phone down on me. Obviously when I received my cold call I wasn't keen on speaking with them but after a couple of minutes I realised that the guy on the phone knew what he was talking about. Firstly told me about a new tax coming into play later this year which I didn't know about, then explained how they look to see if I can make a saving before even signing anything with an Energy Health Check. We agreed as a business to let them take a look at the prices of our enegery so we could save money so at first they were still slightly pushy however they were friendly and it was sales so thats what we expected. Received numerous unsolicited calls from Utility Wise. During the last call I decided to talk to the agent, he attempted to tell me he wasn't an energy broker, did not want to sell me something I already had (i.e. Elec and Gas), and only wanted to help with Energy saving consultancy. When challenged about the legitimacy of his claims he was adamant the call was "not a sales call". The number of times these people keep calling and harassing us is just unbelievablel we've actually started keeping a log so we can put in a claim against them. In the beginning two years ago I told them we are in a serviced office and have no need for their service, yet every 3-4 weeks we get two calls, one after another from different people. I appreciate your frustration as i too also receive a lot of calls from different brokers not just for energy. I would be aware that there are 3 main businesses with the name utility in the title and upon hearing the name utility many people assume it is utilitywise ringing all the time. Infact i did a bit of homework and found utility warehouse, utilitywise and utility watch all work within the energy industry. As you are in serviced offices is it not worth your while advising them who the landlord is so they can refer energy cost queries through them rather than yourself???

3rd party companies are often seen as a bit of a nuisance but infact most get better reviews than suppliers so in my opinion since letting utilitywise sort out my energy costs ive been more than happy with the service and pleased i decided to change my mind as they have saved me money, time and effort in the long run.

Agreed. I had two guys come round to my business , gave them all of my details for gas, electric and water and then... nothing

Sent two chasing emails and after a month gave up. Their prices may be good but I never got the chance to find out. Service absymal

shame the promised electricity contract didnt materialize and no one from your office bothered to contact me to let me know.......result, an overcharged electricity bill from the supplier you were supposed to have moved me from, exaclty what l was trying to avoid.
