“Ribiculous admin fee”

“Still waiting!”

In November 2014 my car was hit on Asda car park, the damage was witnessed by a security guard & photos taken by me. The car that hit me was a wing mirror away, l could not get in the drivers side and when the owner of the car that hit me came back she said she was in rush to get to the dentist & thought she had nudged something. “Very poor customer service”

Car was damaged due to act of vandalism but still had to be the excess. The garage instructed by them overcharged and added other essential repairs. Given that a wing mirror was the main damage shocking that they managed to accumulate a bill of over £700!!! When I complained I was told if I didn't pay the excess then I wouldn't get my car back! Explained to Churchill about how I was treated but they questioned what they thought they could do ?!! Will not be renewing ever again… Read Full Review

“£25 admin fee just to change address”

I've recently moved house and Churchill have charged me a £25 admin fee for doing so. The call centre agent referred me the the terms and conditions which states an admin fee "may" be applicable but fails to mention how much and what would constitute an admin fee. “Poor administration”

After entering relevant details on a compare website CLEARLY list my wife as the main driver and duly insuring with churchill I was disappointed when documents arrived listing me as the main driver. “Helpful, trustworthy, reliable”

The drivers side of my car was hit into whilst parked. The driver admitted full responsibility. I made this clear to Churchill and I was put through to their Direct Line Group repair centre and sent the details for my courtesy car. Once my car had been repaired and returned I was able to look my car over. The level of care from the repair centre itself was to a very poor standard which I reported to Churchill instantly. “Not interested in pursuing claim - even when not your...”

Whilst my car was waiting at some traffic lights a large van reversed up the street behind me (so was on the wrong side of the road)and collided with the back of my car, causing damage. The driver got out and three times admitted that he "...just hadn't seen I was there". “Avoid! False Promises Meant Lease Car Was Cancelled”

Churchill failed after over twelve telephone calls to send the documents to the lease company  Team Manager on the floor refused to deal with this (Retention Department) - advising another person will call me with the resolution. “Disgusting! Two admin fees within 48 hours”

I called on Saturday to change my policy as I was going to view a car after the call centre had closed. I was concerned with what would happen if I didn't buy the car so questioned this and was told I can call back Monday (closed Easter Sunday) to change it back. I've been with Churchill for over 9 years. I never had a claim or anything in that time. Time came to cancel and I was told I would have to pay £53 cancelation fee, I was happy to pay it. Got a bill at home for £87, phoned them up the person on the phone was not sure what was going on and I was told I will get a itemized bill through the post. “No Claim Discount Unprotected”

Last year I took out multi car insurance with Churchill including the Protected No Claims Option. In December I had a bump in my car, my fault but no claim from the other party however my car needed repairing. I was not unduly worried knowing that I had the protected no claims bonus. “Chasing False 2012 Excess”

Letter today from Churchill saying I had failed to pay £75 excess from ... summer 2012. Rang their time delay system this morning to say I had paid, but they totally refused to accept that, saying I needed to dig out three year old bank statements or they would pursue the sum. “Beware - read small print”

My daughter was offered free breakdown cover when she signed up with Churchill Car Insurance - and didn't read all the small print ref what services were included. She presumed she would be able to access a service from home (due to a puncture) but discovered she was on the most basic of cover and not entitled to help. I do not work for churchill but when you get the free breakdown cover it clearly states that it is the most basic and only includes Road side assistance and no callout charge. Nothing more nothing less. So its kind of your fault for not looking at the break down cover information clearly. Plus the same type of cover costs around £45, well atleast for me directly from Green Flag.

A lorry or van crashed into my car while it was parked and there were no witnesses. I immediately telephoned Churchill and I have to say my treatment was First Class. The operator was very kind and helpful and everything was sorted within two hours of the accident happening. A garage arrived the next day to collect the car and a hire car also arrived very quickly.
