On 13th October 2012 I ordered two fitted bedroom installations from Starplan at the Middlebrook store. The initial fitting date of 17th December 2012 was delayed until 14th February 2013. I paid a total of £6908 in advance. On 14th February the chief installer, on leaving at almost 7.00 p.m., informed me that the push closes in the main bedroom had not been fitted. Worst customer service ever. Ordered at warrington from Bill and told him that our ceiling is relatively low ( gave exact measurements) and he assured us that they could adjust the bottom of wardrobes to fit. Paid deposit and got a fitting date 6 weeks on. Got summary in post and realised the internal layout was wrong, so phoned Bill who assured me it was rectified. We went to the Warrington store and arranged for somebody to come out the same day. It seemed good service, measured up, designed and ordered. The man, [name removed], said he would email us the receipt for deposit and designs the same day. After 3 days I rang because nothing was received. Ok, he sent it then. We ordered a fitted bedroom from the Middlebrook branch of Starplan Bedrooms in Horwich on 26/8/12 and it was to be fitted on 7/11/12. I later received an e mail stating that the work wouold be carried out am. Starplan, more like no plan. They are happy to ale your money up front but don't like to finish the job. We ordered two fitted bedrooms in August 2012. Salesperson came out twice to measure up as they didnt trust their measurements the first time. Fitters arrived in November without some of the doors, damaged door, the wrong size desk that they were told to cut down to size which I refused and asked for the correct size. My wife and I went into starplan stoke and spoke to Gaz he was extremely friendly,professional and knew his stuff. We eventually deccided on some sliding wardrobes, bed and mattress. StarPlan Fitted Bedroom! I originally enquired at StarPlan's Bolton Middlebrook Store dealing on the 15th Jun. One of my original stipulations was to have bedroom furniture fitted at the beginning of August which they stated was achievable as it was within their 6 to 8 week lead time criteria. Well, At least they did mention to you about removing the skirting boards, they forgot to tell us and as a result we have bedroom furniture that is supposed to be fitted but as a 1/2 in gap from the wall, their answer to rectify this was to stick a big piece of wood on the end to hide the gap which looks awful and cheapens the look of the whole room. We also ended up with different handles on the dressing table & wardrobes and have been waiting since April to get ones that match ( they did send us some that they found in store but most of them were scratched so asked for replacements) now January 2013 & still waiting. Should have realised you get what you pay for, on the surface their bedrooms look lovely but if you look at the finished article they REALLY ARE NOT !!!

Well at least Starplan provided us with a quality competative quote. Sharps looked at my house in Wytchwood Park saw 3 cars in the drive and magiced a price up out of thin air ... I thought the designer with sharps was paul daniels!

Had my bedroom fitted today, it all started with a visit to Starplan Wednesbury and a meeting with Kim Kim was very professional and easy to talk to, she ensured all our needs were met finishing off with a home visit to check measurements etc, the day finally came of the fit, it went line dream Dan and his mate (sorry didn't catch his name) worked very hard taking them around 2 and a half to complete the job and what an excellent job they did. The delivery arrived on the stated day however they sent a 7.5 tonne lorry which was unable to park anywhere. The designer should have picked this up and the driver stated that this happens all the time. No reimbursement was offered or a apology. Master bedroom didn't go well - tops to a long set of drawers were fitted poorly and an attempt at gluing them together was amateur and glue was evident on the tops. We ordered our wardrobes for 2 rooms after much consideration. We visited the showroom in Dungannon and spoke to a salesman. We told him the wardrobes were for 2 small children and he advised soft close hinges which I was pleased with. Another salesman called to measure up and we also told him about the hinges he agreed and told us this was a good idea as he had 6 children himself. From our first review back in March 2011 we have manufactured, delivered and fitted over 15,000 bedrooms successfully however we take every review on its own merits and will always endeavour to provide the highest service possible.
On rare occasions we can get it wrong and we apologise to our valued customers who have had problems. We are currently training a new customer service department plus the introduction of a computer system pre December 2012.
Starplan is a family run business and has been operating for 40 years and we will always be determined to improve quality along with offering our customers the highest possible aftersales service.

I ordered made to measure sliding wardrobes in July 12 for two bedrooms. The first lot fitted in SEPT 12, unfortunately one of the doors had a scratch mark on it. They came out to inspect the damage and agreed that a new door was needed. Eventually just before Xmas a new door arrived and was fitted however it was a completely different 'white' to the other doors! We had 2 bedrooms planned and designed by starplan bolton. After placing the order the whole experience has been stressful, upsetting and time consuming. I dont want to bore you by listing the whole situation but what definately I will say is that this is one of the biggest regrets I have ever had and definately the most costly. With all that said I cant even say that I am happy with the quality or finish. What a mistake it keeps me awake at night when I think how much I have paid for this cheap and nasty tat. If you are looking for bedroom furniture and you want quality and value for money then DO NOT ORDER FROM STARPLAN.

Sorry to hear that they have yet again treated another customer very badly. On reading my review I've noticed that it shoud read ordered July 11 and fitted Sept 11! Any decent company would have tried to contact me over the past week but not heard a thing. I will reiterate DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM STARPLAN ONCE THEY'VE GOT YOUR MONEY THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!!

We ordered our bedroom in March 2012 and the bedroom was fitted mid July - unfortunately the corner unit was the wrong size and we were told another would have to be ordered with a waiting time of 6 weeks. We waited and waited, eventually we were told a fitter would be arriving on 9.9.12 to fit the new corner unit - he arrived with a unit that was the size of the original faulty one! I wouldn't even give Starplan a single star but I'm afraid I had to. I paid £10,000 to have 3 bedrooms and an office fitted out yet 5 months later 2 of my rooms are still unfinished. Very satisfied with the service from Starplan (Stoke) from the sales staff, Michael and Andy, who were very patient with me on choosing everything from colours and handles to designing shelving space for my vinyl record collection!! Unfortunately, my dealing with Starplan is far from good!! We ordered furniture in July and agreement made for delivery in August. Apparently our furniture was left in Ireland and was not on the ferry that it should have been on! Despite several calls to the Stoke store and assurances made by the store manager to have alternative delivery arrangements made,to-date it has still not arrived (second date of promised delivery) and again no call made from store with explanation. After seeing and hearing adverts for Starplan bedrooms I looked them up on the internet and was quite impressed with there website and the look of the bedroom displays. I went then to the warrington store and from my arrival felt at ease. The staff were great and very helpful as I wasnt sure what I was after and if i had enough budget. Its a crying shame!The designer was great!He was so patient&designed our bedroom and we loved it!even made us feel safe that we where dealing with a top company,own fitters etc,but then the fitters came and rushed the job!pity!numerous calls to store to rectify faults BUT NO!we asked to speak to warrington store manager!Only to be told we dont have one!???told we have an area manager that is based at warrington store but 6 calls and still told he has been asked to call us but NO!he never... i was looking at a childrens fitted bedroom in the Belfast store it says everything half price with free bed. i asked in shop how much it was i was told 2500 all in when i got sum1 out to my home to measure up i took away 2 wardrobes that i had been showed in the shop with the price being 2500 so i thought it would have brought my price down to about 2200 when i went back to shop i have been told that it would cost me 3000 i was excited and took it anyway but now i think of the price i think...
