Good Points: It is easy to find your way around it.
There is everything a plasterer needs to know about solid & fibrous plastering, the price is right and it's readily available.
Bad Points: None.
General comments: This is the best book on traditional plastering methods since Millars, Plastering Plain & Decorative, and that was published over a hundred years ago. It has been at my fingertips for the past thirty years.

Before I bought this book I'd heard it described as the plasterers' bible, and I can see why. It takes you from the basics right through to the methods used for complex restoration work and includes descriptions of how to make up tooling for every type of work you're likely to encounter.- Read skillbook1's review (69 words)

J.B. Taylor, Plastering is interesting for those working in old buildings and with plastering experience. Cornice casting and barrel vault ceiling plastering is too far for most, even full-time plasterers, so don't buy it if you're not into the nutless and boltlessness of it all.- Read Havewit's review (67 words and 1 comment)
