“Total nightmare...AVOID”

Well, we should have had alarm bells ringing when the salesman's parting shot was that he was an ex policeman who spent most of his working life on the golf course and retired when someone suggested he do some work! However, wanting to support a local company we continued. We were promised that installation would be four hours with no mess for us to tidy up. HOW VERY WRONG. Was contacted by a polite chap from ecoseal Who said there was some funding for windows Up to £3000 for a full house and half of this for the front or back. I agreed to have a quote on the back three windows that are single glazed And asked for them to visit and price it up . “Constant telephone calls”

Started to look for a firm to replace our windows in the following year and just wanted an idea of price and after Eco seal knocked on our door agreed for them to give us a quote. This is where the problem started. They would not quote me on my own. My husband and I both work shifts so time together is rare and we just wanted a quote to compare with other companies. Myself and my wife (they insist on both being present at the time) had an unsolicited phone call in May, offering government back reductions, and booked an appointment from Ecoseal. The salesman arrived, and we made our requirements very clear, they would have to be sash double glazed, and installed as the existing sash double glazed were (These are manufactured by Quickslide in Yorkshire). Our replacement windows and front door supplied by Ecoseal are very good quality at a reasonable price and were fitted, quickly, cleanly and at the time agreed. I have to say that the Salesman, the Surveyor, the Installation team and the Remedial fitter were extremely polite, friendly and helpful, especially when the side panels for the door were not made to the originel design and were required to be remade and fitted. I wouldn't normally consider a review but this Company it's Product and it's Staff are absolutely deserving of being so highly recommended.

EcoSeal were recommended off a friend who had recently had a rather large Conservatory fitted needless to say it's lovely. They too we're over the moon with the products and after Sales Service. 26/1/2011 slaesman arrives, measures up we haggle,I eventually speak to owner over phone he moans but agrees to do job for £4,000 provided I sign there and then and pay a 20% deposit which I foolishly do. 27/1/2011 surveyor arrives accurately measures windows I pay £100. 1/2/2011 at 5-30pm ecoseal ring saying :I want another £800 to do your job (AFTER DEPOSIT CHEQUE WAS CASHED). This I immediately refuse and ask for my deposit back. the reply, if you want your money back take me to court.... (read more)
