If you’re an iPad fan, you’ll already know that Apple has unveiled its second generation iPad.
Rumours circulating were suggesting that the iPad 2 is expected to be slimmer, lighter, have a better resolution than the first model, and have front and rear facing cameras.
The rumours were true! You can now expect two cameras for FaceTime and HD video recording. A faster Apple dual-core A5 chip. The same 10-hour battery life, and all in a thinner, lighter design.
Due to hit the shops around the 25th March, will you be queuing up to get your hands on one of these tablets? If yes, come back to Review Centre and be the first to leave a review and tell us what you think of the new iPad 2nd Generation.

i love ipad, does every thing a pc would do, but less hassle then a pc as you can obviously carry it about, hours of battery life...cheaper software (apps) by 100's...switches on and off without rubbish sortware being force down loaded on you and preventing you from using it...office on the move and at home...mobile disco with a wireless boombox...i could go on and on and on... Apple v Microsoft...Apple wins in my world. (saved loads of money since ipad came out, not having to buy sorftware... (read more)

I bought an iPad recently for £400. I think it is overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I love it and can't complain about the build.. but it doesn't even come with a cover. I had to scout eBay for one. Keyboard is hard to use aswell. But it is cool and I'm glad I got it. (read more)

I was offered insurance when I bought the tablet but I thought I'd be fine without it! Then my daughter very nearly drowned it with a glass of lemonade before it was even a week old! I really panicked as I thought I'd missed the opportunity to insure it, that was until I saw the advert for protect my bubble and I was saved! The whole process took less than 10 minutes and the price is fabulous! The insurance I was offered and the time of purchase was £15 per month and protect my bubble have... (read more)

A couple of weeks ago I bought an iPad - 2nd generation, black, with Wi-Fi and 3G - and I must admit that I am still excited about it! So far everything seems to be working just fine. I’ve managed to connect everything with my MacBook and my iPhone so that I can actually manage everything simultaneously from one I tunes account, which is extremely convenient. As I was playing around with it last night, I found this game I used to play on Atari –Montezuma’s Revenge- , and I could not... (read more)

So I was late to the ipad party and yes I do still think that they are overpriced, but with a few quid made from Christmas returns I went of smartfonestore and got a practically new ipad2. Fantastic! It's great. I pretty much haven't put it down (other than when my daughter wrestles it from my hands to play her MyLittlePony game). I've used it in bed to watch loads of catchup tv - my wife doesn't mind the ipad whereas the TV flicking makes it hard for her to sleep. On the train to read books... (read more)

Excellent value for money, and endless amounts of fun. As well as being extremely helpful with uni work it also allows me the option to sit back and relax with the vast library of apps it has in store. I loved every single thing the iPad 2 has to offer 10/10 in my opinion. (read more)

At first when the first iPad came out, I thought it would just be a waste of time and I wouldn't find much use with it compared to a desktop computer or laptop. Well however, I now wish I never said that. Because its turned out to be a very useful item, I mainly use it for photo editing on the go, watch movies when I'm traveling, read books, listen to music and I even use it for Uni work. It's as if I can now carry my life of luxuries in a bag without the extra weight. It's easy to play... (read more)

A heavy paper weight dropped onto my ipad and cracked the screen and damaged the casing. I phoned insurance company and was assigned a very helpful customer service officer. Over all its a bit faster, but that's about it, i upgraded to the ipad 2 for the better camera and the retina display, with my eyes the retina gives me a head ache and the camera is really not that much better, the view point is much closer so you have to move way back to get everything, even the apple shop was confused with this zoom as standard. BUT you still cant beat an ipad, fast starts in an instant and the kids love it. (read more)

I love my ipad. What else can I say? I bought the 1st generation ipad followed by the 2nd. I use it extensively for GPS purposes, while I'm driving, and for checking email. I don't like using my smart phone; too small to use while the ipad is a perfect size. I do wish the price was cheaper and the ipad was faster. I will probably move to a 3rd gen iPad this Christmas so that should help with speed. Hope the 4th gen (regular sized ipad, not mini) will come out soon! (read more)

I skipped buying the first generation iPad because it was new technology. I already had an iPhone 4 and thought I used that enough, there would be absolutely no need to pay $600+ for another device that was between my iPhone and MacBook Pro and that there would be no way I could possibly use one enough to justify spending a lot of money for it... boy was I wrong. The iPad 2 is probably my 3rd best investment; first my MacBook Pro for work and second my iPhone. I barely use my 48" LED TV and... (read more)

I've recently bought an iPad and as usual with Apple products, I love the user-friendly interfaces, design, etc. What I hadn't appreciated was how useful it could be as a personal TV/ cinema. With two teenage kids in the house, there are the usual fights for what we watch on TV when we are all at home some evenings. I find the iPad, combined with BBC iPlayer, means I can watch what I'd like to, in any room in the house. I've also found this aspect really useful on longer train journeys... (read more)

I was considering buying an I pad but was not sure whether to get the the original I pad or the I pad 2. I popped into the Apple shop in Regent Street and the guy who assisted me was more than helpful. He explained the differences between the two. My mum who is in her sixties has always been afraid to use a computer, but we bought her an iPad for her birthday and she loves it. I had my ipad 2 delivered yesterday after having never used apple before. The first thing I found out was that there are absolutely no instructions at all. I am using a sim-card but still can't find out how to connect. I am using my home wifi but that defeats the object of a 'mobile' device. I have logged into my emails but can't find out how to log out so no-one else in the house can use it. A company like apple should at least send a starter guide. I was told to switch it off and on to... (read more)

I would never have bought one of these myself because of the cost - They are pricey - but my work decided that it was a better opinion than a laptop for when I'm out and about and I must say I agree. The Ipad is so simple that a pet could probably use it. It has all the functionality of a laptop (other than a keyboard) and it springs to life in seconds (maybe saving me 10-15 minute per day not having to login to windows). I love the iPad 2. I use it so often and for everything. My poor laptop is tucked away in the cupboard, as the iPad can be used for so many things, my laptop now doesn't even get a look in. I am actually typing this on my iPad right now, and I love how comfortable it feels to type. The iPad is extremely thin, with a nice sized screen. A big iPod touch is EXACTLY what the iPad is. Those looking for a laptop replacement are likely to be dissapointed as the lack of file system can severely hamper your usual workflow, unless of course it is that you don't need a file system. Otherwise, there are Apps that give you the semblance of a file system. Good Reader in conjunction with a free dropbox or sugar sync account will enable easy file transfers between your laptop/computer and then some. The iPad makes a great travel... (read more)
