I was booked into the Travelodge in Penrith, the booking was made online and payment had been taken, the booking was made a fortnight before.
I drove down from Scotland and arrived there at about 10pm only to be told thy had sold my room (again) to someone else and were now full.
The 'manager' suggested I drive back the way I had just come to another Travelodge about 15 miles away. I told him this was unacceptable. I asked for something nearer and he booked me into a different hotel, The... (read more)
