Having never used this company I was apprehensive and took the description at face value...this proved in reality to be 100% accurate. All the paperwork was on time and accurate. From arriving meeting the greeters were brilliant. They ushered us through with no problems to the Avis desk and ensured we had maps to get to our villa. Our villa (Ca'an Pensit) was perfectly situated in the foothills of the Mallorcan limestone mountains. We had several fantastic walks in the mountains, one of which was from our doorstep. The Simpsons rep. provided us with an excellent walking book and maps. Choosing a villa instead of a hotel was good advice from Simpsons. The villa was very spacious,enough for a wheelchair. The satellite television provided football and news for my 84 year old husband. La Maria Venezia, Ile Rousse, Corsica came as a surprise. The Simpson brochure seemed to show a smallish apartment on the top floor with limited views - maybe I didn't read it properly. The reality was a large apartment, beautifully furnished in traditional French style with unusual antiques and the person touch of the owner in family photographs and paintings. We stayed for 4 weeks in one of the three Beach Island Cottages at the far northern end of Plaka beach. It was perfect. We could sit for days (as we did) just looking out over the sea. The only sound at night was the gentle noise of the water lapping over the shingle. On the few days when it got too windy on the north coast, it was a pleasant change to explore the beaches in the south. The mountain top location of the Rou Estate offers the most wonderful view of the distant seascape with the mountain coastline of Albania creating a perfect backdrop for a holiday. On our first visit to Mallorca we were very impressed with the town of Puerto de Soller. It was quite lively in June with plenty to do in the day time and the restaurants we went to were all excellent. At Cassita de Voramar we had a wonderful view of the bay and as there were exactly 74 steps up this was only suitable for people who don't mind a bit of exercise. We've been twice to Corsica. Both villas were fantastic. Great quality, lovely pools. The website and the photos are really good. We're a family with teenagers and the beaches/quiet towns of Corsica are perfect. You can bbq at home or eat out in the excellent selection of restaurants. The Simpsons travel rep is a gem. We enjoyed our stay at La Pinede, collecting the car and the journey instructions were all straightforward. The location of the villa is good, close to Calvi but private and quiet. The beach is just a short walk across the road. Our reception at the airport was very thorough and, although the Mallorcan motorway numbering was confusing at first, the local agent's directions were accurate and we found the villa very easily. There was too long a delay between the arrival at Palma airport and access to the villa (6 hours).
