“Trip to Adelaide”

We spent a week in Adelaide in the Adabco Boutique Hotel. The location was great, within easy walking distance to the centre of Adelaide, and then there were free trams to take you where ever you wanted to go, within the City, our room was nice and clean, the staff were great and made you feel very welcome, the complimentary breakfast was well presented, a bit crowded from time to time, there was also a guests fully equipped kitchen, our stay was very enjoyable… Read Full Review

I'm a very unsatisfied costumer. I don't recommend any one to book with this hotel travel. I made a booking with this Hotel travel and they tolked the money from my credit card but later on they told that couldn't confirm my booking request becausethe following hotel rooms was fully booked at the discounted rate. Dear Annalice,

We received your booking request on Monday, 9 February 2015 @ 23:43 for a check-in on Thursday, 12 February 2015. As the cancellation policy for this particular booking was within 7 days of the booking date we were required to authorise your card, in other words, block the funds in your account, which does not mean they were withdrawn.

Unfortunately, during the time you booked the room it became unavailable and we did a thorough search to seek the room for you once again, however, our efforts were not successful.

We received an email from you that requested we return the money for this reservation, which had been blocked in your account and we subsequently reversed the transaction.

It is now the responsibility of your card issuing bank to release the block from their end and return your money. Should your bank require any specific information from us, please feel free to request it and we shall assist.

We trust that you shall find this fully explains the situation.

There is a lot of negative and some positive reviews but from my experience do not book with hotel travel!!! I booked a room one month early for new years eve, I had confirmation emails and bank statements saying it was paid for. We have now looked into your booking and can advise further as follows:

You made your original booking on 19 December 2014 for a one night stay on Wednesday, 31 December 2014, which was confirmed.

However, the hotel contacted us on 31 December 2014 to advise that they no longer had any rooms available and despite our attempt to re-confirm your booking directly with the hotel we were unable to provide you with confirmation.

We then informed you of the situation and advised that a full refund would be provided, which was accepted on 31 December 2014.
We apologise for the inconvenience this situation caused to you during the holiday period but we were only informed of it by the hotel on the day of your intended stay.

On a Christmas holiday with my family to Florida. I called the hotel that Hoteltravel,com confirmed for me and had already taken my payment, to tell them I would be late. I used hoteltravel to book a holiday to NZ, the deal I got saved me quite a bit of money. After reading all these negative comments I was a little concerned. “Fake Rates Not Honored By Hotels // and They Keep Your $$$”

Hotels do not honor their rates. You assume that once you pay for you room that the room is yours because you get billed and get a confirmation. Then, like all the others, you get an email that your room couldn't be filled. They still have my money and wont respond to emails, chat board or answer the phones. THIS IS A BOGUS OPERATION! You are trying to save face here and nobody is buying it. You are not authorized to sell rooms at your advertised rates which is why people keep losing their rooms AND YOU KEEP THEIR MONEY FOR AS LONG AS YOU SEE FIT.

Unlike other travel sites, HotelTravel.com will take your information and money first, then inform you that the hotel is actually fully booked. This is a waste of time and effort that is especially frustrating when trying to book during peak periods (when room availability changes by the minute). Our credit card was charged three times when booking through hotel travel's website. It took multiple attempts over a period of an hour to process the booking in which we received a confirmation number.
