“Click transfers didnt pay their agent!!”

★★☆☆☆

written by happyhippy56 on 31/05/2016

Ok so the price was good, alarm bells should have been ringing!! Arrived Fuerteventura 3/5/2016, transfer (private) to hotel was great (5 star), however phoned as requested day before to arrange return to Airport on 14/5/2016, told by the agent in Spain that Click Transfers had not paid them for 2-3 months and were cancelling all transfers until payment was made. Called Click and was told arrange a taxi, send receipt and we will refund ---- Still waiting!!!. Had the return transfer been made I would have been happy to leave a better reveiw, but until I get my promised refund (emailed 4 times now) the service is not good.

Arrived in Ibiza , and had arranged the transfers with Click transfers, they were there to meet us at the airport as arranged and the transfer went smoothly. The return transfer had to be re-confirmed 24 hours before which we tried to do , but when we rang the instructions were in Spanish with no option to change to English, luckily the receptionist in the hotel was very helpful, and the pick up time was arranged for 9.20 am for a 11.15 flight , as the transfer only 15 mins was not too worried about it. We waited and waited and at 9.40 the receptionist rang them for us , apparently they where on their away having been delayed, at 10am they still had not arrived and just as the receptionist phoned for a taxi for us the car arrived with no apologies. If there had been any major traffic on the roads we would have missed our flight, as it was we had to run through the airport . Very poor service i feel and would not book with them again .

Booked with click transfer as they had been recommended to me. However when I arrived at Antalya Airport I went to the transfer desk I was told to and they didn't recognise my name and didn't have any record of it. After trying different desks and and after a half an hour my transfer finally arrived and took me to the hotel. Had the exact same problem coming back my transfer arrived an hour later than arranged so we were left waiting outside the hotel if it wasn't for the help desk we would have been completely clueless about everything. Wouldn't book with this company again.

“ What a Mess ”

written by LunaSchaefer306 on 11/10/2015

Our journey started off well and we were picked up at the Airport in a lovely air conditioned people carrier . The driver was very pleasant and got us to our villa very well. Our return journey was some what different ! We had been sent a email stating what time we would be picked up on the day of our return and waited almost half an hour after the time before I started to panic and decided to ring the local company. At this point a local cab turned up with 2 men in the car, there was lots of running around and talking on the phone. They explained that our transfer was not coming and they had called the local taxi rank to pick us up. But before they would take us they wanted to make sure they would get paid by the agent. He then said we could get in the car and we set off, after we had gone back the other way to drop off the other man who had helped the driver to find out location. By now we were running out of time and I was worried that we would be late for our flight. The driver carried on the phone to and throw with the agent about his payment and eventually stopped again at the side of the road to give him his bank details to pay into his account. We started off again and the driver was still worried that he wouldn't be paid for our journey. After a very relaxing holiday the end of our trip turned into a crazy dash to the airport. We were still unaware if the cab driver would be paid and it was a very erratic departure indeed at no point were we advised by the agent that our pick up was not coming !!!!!!!

“bad experience”

I have ordered a transfer from Fiumicino airport to Gaeta. The car should have been Mercedes E class, but we have found old C class. Second transfer was from Gaeta to Rome, Mersedes E class, everything was ok. Third tranfer was from Ladispoli to Rome. We have found a minibus because they had a problem with sedan. Unfortunatelly I wasn't informed about it and I asked for discount. The round trip transfer was 110 Euros, they gave me 10 Euros discount. Luckily the round trip was good with s-class. The next day I ordered a transfer to the airport for 20:10, but at 20:30 wasn't any car. I called them and they asked for 10 more minutes. I was very angry and cancelled the trip. As a result I can't recommend this company because you can never be sure what you have.

“no one at Rhodes aiport to meet us. ”

★★☆☆☆

written by kcole on 02/09/2015

I think the problem arose from the fact that you have just changes using your provider in Rhodes to a new one. No one was expecting us in Rhodes so we ended up having to call the number. Eventually we managed to get put on another companies shuttle bus. Coming back again it was up to us to get in touch a couple of times in order to get details of the pick up to get back to the airport. Eventually we agreed on a text rather than an email that we couldnt access on holiday to give us the details.

“We had booked return private transfers from JFK to...”

★★☆☆☆

written by Clairet210475 on 18/05/2015

We had booked return private transfers from JFK to Manhattan. Upon arrival they were not expecting us and we had to wait approx 45 minutes for the transfer to arrive. Upon departure, the transfer was confirmed 24 hours before departure (as per the booking instructions). The transfer arrived at the time stated, however it was a shared minibus in a terrible condition. We had no option but to use the transfer as we had a flight to catch, however we had booked and paid for a private transfer for 10 people (there were only 6 travelling but we paid for the extra space). We had a very hot and cramped transfer to JFK which was not what we had paid for. I emailed my complaint and have yet to have a satisfactory response.

“Confusion rules”

★★☆☆☆

written by iannew77 on 03/05/2015

On arrival at Enfida airport there was confusion as to who was taking us to our hotel in Sousse. It took a while to sort out after many guys argued, pointed and gesticulated. The transport was a beat up Toyota Land Cruiser. However, the driver was very obliging. For the return transfer we tried to contact the phone number listed. Fortunately, the hotel reception tried and it took 4 phone calls to sort out just who was to collect us. On the day of departure the mini bus arrived and there was confusion yet again about who the driver had come to collect. Hotel staff intervened and sorted out that it was my wife and myself he had come to collect. Very unsettling. Will think twice about using Click Transfers again.

“Driver was very late! Bad start to holiday!”

★★☆☆☆

written by KodyDriscoll187 on 02/05/2015

Disappointing start to our holiday. We landed 15 mins early and walked straight through to the airport doors. Every other transfer company was waiting there for my fellow passengers (obviously having tracked the flight like a normal company would) but no sign of mine. Only after 35 mins was I allowed to ring them (I.e. 20 mins after the planned pick up time) which involved me having to take my phone off airplane mode (which I hadn't wanted to do whilst away) and make a call. Driver eventually turned up nearly an hour after landing and didn't apologise - merely shrugged. Two of us females waiting in a deserted airport long after the flight had landed was a terrible start to the holiday and really put a dampener on it.

We paid for the speedy transfer (49mins) and then were ushered onto a bus where we waited almost an hour for more passengers. We then took another 2 hours to drop everyone else off, we were the 6th drop off on a promised tariff of maximum 5 stops. The driver did not speak English and was apologetic but 'not his problem!'.

We was picked up ok, the man was waiting with our name on a sign, but the car we went in was battered and not very nice. On the way back the man had a passenger in the car we had to drop off first at the next resort before taking us to the airport which delayed our journey by 20 minutes.

“Drop off O.K. but Pickup never happened”

★★☆☆☆

written by Flashgordon1950 on 17/10/2013

Used clicktransfers.com for a drop off from Rhodes Airport to Kiotari and everything went great. The problem arose after we spent our second week in Rhodes Town and phoned OPEN TRANSFERS to confirm our pick up times. Open transfers at first said we would be picked up in Kiotari and when we explained we were on a two centre holiday they eventually gave us a pick up time of 1830 for our flight home. We stood outside the hotel in the car park from 1810 until 1850 when we started to get worried. We phoned the transfer company to enquire where our transport was and we were informed that the coach had called but as we were not there so we would have to make our own way to the airport. We ordered a taxi and went to the airport for our flight home. I appreciate the bad service was from OPEN TRANSFERS but clicktransfers were of no help when we reported this on our return to the U.K.

We had a problem with transfer in Tunisia. When we arrived info about - how to find it was wrong and we could find our driver, hosters from Thomas cook was talking to everyone asking who was booked to pick us up ( not many people speak english there) in the end driver of other company ( not what we had in confirmation letter) who was all this time sleeping in the car took us to hotel ( car was very old) On the day our departue taxi didn't tern up in the morning . We call them day before to confirm the time for pick us up and we where waiting for 40 min it was early in the morning and taxi office was cloused. We found emergency phone number and called to find out what's happening to our car? ( call cost me about £5). Some girl pick up the phone (she was in deep sleep) and after me yelling at her that i will be late for my flight she send me other taxi. So after 45 min waiting we finally had a car!! Taxi driver was driving very fast!!! His speedometer wasn't working, i thought I will have a heart attack from this car race!! But we made it to our plane just in time. Driver was helpfull and said girl called him because he lived around the corner from hotel he wasn't booked for this job at all. We prepaid our transfer in advance to get service and not worry about it but it will be £10 cheaper and easier to get taxi there and not worry so much to be late for my flight (saving £5 on calling too) I will never again use this transfers!

“not acceptable”

★★☆☆☆

written by fedupwithtravel on 20/07/2012

After a pleasant flight we arrived at Ibiza airport looking forward to our 50 minute maximum transfer to the hotel. We presented at the transfer office and were advised the bus would arrive in 5 minutes. One hour later the bus eventually arrived. As you can imagine standing in the heat with no explanation was not good. The experience just got worse. We then had to sit on the bus for a further hour waiting for other passengers. They obviously get as many on each trip as possible. When I booked this transfer I was advised 21 people maximum per transfer, again this was not the case. We then went around various hotels dropping off eventually 3 hours later we were dropped at the roadside and vaguely pointed in the direction of our hotel. Disgraceful service and a lousy start to our holiday.

Used them in Fuerteventura and found them safe and reliable. Return journey to airport was 100% good, early and not too many pick-ups. Arrival journey not quite so easy as they didn't seem to have the appropriate record of our booking and receptionist was initially unhelpful. After insistence from me, showing them a copy of the booking, a phone call from them to "somewhere", it was all sorted and transfer was easy thereafter.

I have used this company in Rhodes and Malaga. Both locations have been very reliable and extremely safe. In Rhodes our driver had bottled water waiting for us and wheeled our cases into the hotel reception for us. On our return the driver was waiting well before our collection time. In Spain we had a shuttle bus, very comfortable and arrived at a he resort safely. On our return to the airport, our driver arrived on a coach empty and drove us back to Malaga in no time. I have again booked in June and have no hesitations to recommend this company for a reliability at a low cost.

Click transfers are a broker for the location where you are travelling. I have used them a couple of times (out and return to airport) and the local agent was both reliable and safe. They are extremely competitive on price and I will certainly use them again subject to them remaining competitive.

100% reliable. I have had no problem with the local suppliers who they use to do the transfers. In fact exactly the opposite. One time there was a "blockade" by taxi drivers and they kept me fully informed and when it was called off at the last moment I got a call from them. Another time I had booked a return on the wrong date - it was just taken care of. Use with confidence.

They're really just like an agency who liaise with a taxi company that, through their own experience they have found to be reliable. I only used them the once and there was a bit of a hiccup. They must have had a problem with the Taxis they'd been using as they contacted me to let me know there was a change to my transfer. This caused a bit of a panic as we were only days away from our trip and part of the process is that I had to print off a voucher which had to be presented to the Taxi driver. The trouble was that they didn't send the email containing the attachment with the voucher. I then had to spend some time trying to sort this out. In the end everything went very well. The taxi was dead on time, the driver was great and the car was a very luxurious Mercedes. So overall I would say they are reliable and safe. One bit of advice: on your return give the Taxi company a phone call the day before your flight to make sure they are definitely going to collect you at the correct time. Note - DON'T ring click transfer, ring the Taxi Company.

I have used ClickTransfers for a few years now. It's not them that carry out the work, but suppliers from each airport/country. I have only ever had one bad experience with them and that was when there was a mix-up with the booking, but within 10 mins it was sorted and we were on our way. I've always found the transfer vehicles to be clean, good condition and friendly helpful drivers. Hope this helps!"

Why do I have to get picked up 3 hours before my flight? I have booked a private transfer and have hand luggage only. It should only take about 30 minutes to get there. I would rather spend more time at my AI hotel than sitting in an airport.

I would suggest phoning them, they are very helpful. if its a private transfer they should accomodate you.
Report this content rustysul Written on: 14/10/2014
You don't have to! If it's a private transfer its up to you what time you get picked up,just contact click transfers and advise them of your desired pick up time. But remember if you get delayed on route and miss your flight it's down to you,so don't cut it to fine. Denis
Report this content alan_davies69 Written on: 14/10/2014
I agree with rustysul's answer below. Although I suspect the default position Clicktransfers (and I suspect any other similar operator) will take is to allow the airline standard recommended arrival at check-in (2 hours before departure), plus the journey time, plus some contingency (half an hour not unreasonable). You can then see how the three hour in advance pick up happens. Also, as many holiday airports can be extremely crowded, I've found that timing your arrival at check in half an hour before all the tour operator coaches arrive does reduce queueing time at check in, which is a boon in itself. Personally I don't like queueing for ages or the stress of leaving things until late going through check in and security at an unfamiliar airport, but appreciate that wouldn't be everyone's view. Travelling home after a holiday is always a bit of a drag, but dodging queues actually makes it less stressful to me than waiting around in a hotel.
Report this content BrendaLoughnane Written on: 14/10/2014
I agree with them and cannot add more than as it's a private transfer you can choose yourself the time you get collected. Also, near in mind that sometimes there could be traffic or other delays and with international flights it's better to be safe than sorry.
Report this content JeanParsons Written on: 14/10/2014
I did not book a private transfer so I cannot really reply to your question, however you should remember that check in for most airlines typically open two hours before flight times so I would rather be too early than too late. If you are late for whatever reason it is your responsibility.
Report this content debbiecampbell Written on: 14/10/2014
It does sound a long time i know, i have been in this situation on many occasions. On one occasion i decided that i didn't want to get there 3 hours before, so i caught the train to the airport.Never again,i didn't leave myself enough time,it took longer than expected, the departures was further away from the train station than the arrivals and i ended up racing around the airport panicking and i just about got to the gate with a minute to spare before it closed and made myself ill in the process. So needless to say i would rather be there early. If the transfer picked you up an hour later and there was an accident or traffic jam and you missed your flight that would not be good business parctice, so they cover their rrrrs so to speak.

Why did I have to wait for a number of other planes to land to fill the bus, the transfer was about 70 mins but I had to wait at the airport 45 minutes before we set off. Missing my transfer to the villa. Had to book into a hotel for the night. I must say if I had known that was going to happen I would not have booked it. Anyone else experienced this?

Personally, I always opt for a private transfer as using shared transport carries the risk of further delays. Yes, there is extra expense, but it is compensated for by the lack of delay and stress. I always consider these things in terms of the incremental cost against the whole cost of the trip - usually the difference in cost is very small in percentage terms.

Personally Ive always just jumped on the coach waited maybe 15mins then away we go. But sometimes there will be 1 or 2 people who dont get this luxury. I would tho recommend using them again, for the price we pay we dont expect door to door limo service. Hope this helps
Report this content BrendaLoughnane Written on: 17/06/2014
I understand your upset about this delay, but when using these companies they do need to get as many bodies on the coach to make it financially viable to them. In future you could check with the company picking you up if they are waiting on other flights and then you could make the decision to take the private transfer rather than the coach to avoid delays. Any contact I have had they have always been very helpful. I also don't think 45 minutes is long to wait, anything up to an hour is quite normal and reasonable. I don't think they usually depart immediately after flights in case of delays, etc.

Hello, I have used Click Transfers on a couple of occassions, as do my parents, and to be honest I have found that the waiting times seem long, despite where I travel. It is very frustrating particualrly if you are on a evening flight and by the time you get to the hotel, the restaurant has closed. With another company I also use, albeit more expensive, they will ensure they do not hang around for other flights, particularly if it is evening or it is a short shuttle time. I wish click transfers did the same. Another company also took me once to my hotel by taxi as I complained whilst there that I had been waiting over 40 minutes. That is good service. Having said that I did complain to click transfers on one occassion and got fully refunded which is also good. In click transfers terms and conditions though it does state the following:- The maximum waiting time for shared shuttle transport is one hour from locating the supplier representative after claiming baggage. Complaints about waiting for less than one hour will not be considered by them.

I presume you have tried the email address and phone number on your confirmation? If you are having no luck with this, you could try phoning the local agent listed on your booking - if it is just a different hotel in the same resort, you can probably just arrange the change of destination directly with them. Good luck!
