“Left stranded . Do NOT use”

written by Helpless2016 on 12/10/2016

On arrival at Tenerife south airport (at almost midnight), I discovered that 'click transfers' had gone out of business and had not informed any of their clients including myself. I ended up having to pay €80 for my transfer to the north. I am unable to recoup any of my expenses. APPALLING COMPANY.

On arriving at desk 4 at tenerife airport a man approached our party of 11 people and told us there was no transfers to our hotel as company had gone into liquidation but he assured us that he was able to do transfers for us if we paid him 110 euros for a return trip this we stupidly did he gave us a receipt with a different name on it yes he took us to our hotel but when the time came for us to get back to airport there was no transport available when I contacted my insurance company they said this needs to be put in police hands Do not give any money to a man who approaches you at desk 4

“DO NOT USE - WASN'T PICKED UP FOR DEPARTURE TRANSFER”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 26/08/2016

No departure pick up. After various calls from the receptionist and myself we found out the coach company would not pick us up as clicktransfers owe them a lot of money and they no longer deal with them. We had no warning from click transfers and it was too late to book our transfers with any other company. Totally ruined our last evenings plans and cost us a lot of money.

“Left in Limbo”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Taunton1 on 20/08/2016

Went to Stalis in Crete in August, where our private transfer was waiting for us and drove us promptly to our Hotel. After 12 days holiday I checked my emails and asked the hotel to check to see if I return transfer had been confirmed nothing, left it until the next day, still nothing so I emailed Click transfers and rang and left message, heard nothing back, phoned the local number no answer but left a message, 4 hours later they text messaged us back saying unfortunately they would not be picking us up as they had not received any payment from Click transfers. Lucky our hotel helped to find transport but we had to pay out again. On return home I have tried ringing Click and emailed several times to which I only get we are not human here is your number, we will be back in touch, the first of these was the 8th of August 2016 and still not heard anything from Click, hence this warning !!!!

DO NOT USE DO NOT USE Family of 5 with child with major health issues left stranded very late on arrival at Kos Airport. Local service apologised and said no longer working for Click as do not get paid. Luckily a travel rep helped us out, they said this was a regular thing in Kos for Click Transfers. Again very lucky our hotel was only a 20 euro fare. No response from Click when back in UK and plenty of similar reviews if you do your research. DO NOT USE

“Terrible Service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by rachelsbags on 13/08/2016

Where do I start, after arriving at are destination there was no one to meet us it was only after we rang you up that one of your reps came over and told us you had no record of our booking and told us to take a taxi to the hotel. When we rang up to confirm are booking to go back to the airport we were repeatedly hung up on. So not only did we waste are money booking your service but also had to shell out for 2 taxis to get to and from the airport. Not to mention all the charges for the phone calls trying to get an answer out of you. We have also tried to contact you since returning to the UK with countless emails and phone calls to which you have not answered any. All in all I would never recommend such a terrible company with no customer service.

“WARNING- AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 271Woods on 12/08/2016

I arrived at Corfu airport with my family on the 2/8/16 to find there was no transfer, the representative at the airport advised they no longer deal with click transfers as they are bankrupt! We were stranded and had to hire a private taxi. I have tried to email and call click transfers but get no reply. I have had to hire another private taxi at the end of our holiday coming out of funds we had not budgeted for, we returned to the UK last night and so far all contact has been ignored.

I had the same experience in Tenerife. The local agent said that they had not been paid by click transfers so they could not pick up. I had to arrange a private transfer. They do not respond to email and do not answer the phone. Avoid this company!

“Do not use”

★☆☆☆☆

written by CovKid59 on 11/08/2016

We booked this company for both transfers and neither were straightforward. On arrival at Barcelona airport we had to find our transfer office ourselves after being given instructions to look for a representative displaying our name. Our return transfer was non-existent! Despite myself and the hotel receptionists trying to contact the company for us, we couldn't get any response - either on the phone or by e-mail - received a stupid "robot response". We eventually contacted Eros Travel(who were the arrival transfer company) only to be told that our return transfers didn't exist!!!! Click Transfers hadn't booked anything for us. My family and I eventually had to book tickets (at extra cost) with the local Bus Plana company. I e-mailed the company on my arrival home (Sat 6th August) and I am still waiting for a reply from a human - again the "robot" response saying they would get back to me within then next day or two. It has now been 5 days and NOTHING!! I would definitely NOT recommend this company at all.

“Poor communication”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 11/08/2016

Our return journey did not run smoothly due to bad communication with click transfer changing suppliers for our trip. When we telephoned to confirm our pick up time we were told that they would not becoming for us as click transfers had not paid them for 2 months. We emailed them and got an automated reply stating that someone would be in contact in 1 to 2 days, 3 days later still no reply.

I used this company when going to Greece & found them to be very good with no problems, there was a last minute change to the transport but we were informed promptly. Drivers were very good & informative & were there to collect & return to airport on time.

Used them in Fuerteventura and found them safe and reliable. Return journey to airport was 100% good, early and not too many pick-ups. Arrival journey not quite so easy as they didn't seem to have the appropriate record of our booking and receptionist was initially unhelpful. After insistence from me, showing them a copy of the booking, a phone call from them to "somewhere", it was all sorted and transfer was easy thereafter.

I have used this company in Rhodes and Malaga. Both locations have been very reliable and extremely safe. In Rhodes our driver had bottled water waiting for us and wheeled our cases into the hotel reception for us. On our return the driver was waiting well before our collection time. In Spain we had a shuttle bus, very comfortable and arrived at a he resort safely. On our return to the airport, our driver arrived on a coach empty and drove us back to Malaga in no time. I have again booked in June and have no hesitations to recommend this company for a reliability at a low cost.

Click transfers are a broker for the location where you are travelling. I have used them a couple of times (out and return to airport) and the local agent was both reliable and safe. They are extremely competitive on price and I will certainly use them again subject to them remaining competitive.

100% reliable. I have had no problem with the local suppliers who they use to do the transfers. In fact exactly the opposite. One time there was a "blockade" by taxi drivers and they kept me fully informed and when it was called off at the last moment I got a call from them. Another time I had booked a return on the wrong date - it was just taken care of. Use with confidence.

They're really just like an agency who liaise with a taxi company that, through their own experience they have found to be reliable. I only used them the once and there was a bit of a hiccup. They must have had a problem with the Taxis they'd been using as they contacted me to let me know there was a change to my transfer. This caused a bit of a panic as we were only days away from our trip and part of the process is that I had to print off a voucher which had to be presented to the Taxi driver. The trouble was that they didn't send the email containing the attachment with the voucher. I then had to spend some time trying to sort this out. In the end everything went very well. The taxi was dead on time, the driver was great and the car was a very luxurious Mercedes. So overall I would say they are reliable and safe. One bit of advice: on your return give the Taxi company a phone call the day before your flight to make sure they are definitely going to collect you at the correct time. Note - DON'T ring click transfer, ring the Taxi Company.

I have used ClickTransfers for a few years now. It's not them that carry out the work, but suppliers from each airport/country. I have only ever had one bad experience with them and that was when there was a mix-up with the booking, but within 10 mins it was sorted and we were on our way. I've always found the transfer vehicles to be clean, good condition and friendly helpful drivers. Hope this helps!"

Why do I have to get picked up 3 hours before my flight? I have booked a private transfer and have hand luggage only. It should only take about 30 minutes to get there. I would rather spend more time at my AI hotel than sitting in an airport.

I would suggest phoning them, they are very helpful. if its a private transfer they should accomodate you.
Report this content rustysul Written on: 14/10/2014
You don't have to! If it's a private transfer its up to you what time you get picked up,just contact click transfers and advise them of your desired pick up time. But remember if you get delayed on route and miss your flight it's down to you,so don't cut it to fine. Denis
Report this content alan_davies69 Written on: 14/10/2014
I agree with rustysul's answer below. Although I suspect the default position Clicktransfers (and I suspect any other similar operator) will take is to allow the airline standard recommended arrival at check-in (2 hours before departure), plus the journey time, plus some contingency (half an hour not unreasonable). You can then see how the three hour in advance pick up happens. Also, as many holiday airports can be extremely crowded, I've found that timing your arrival at check in half an hour before all the tour operator coaches arrive does reduce queueing time at check in, which is a boon in itself. Personally I don't like queueing for ages or the stress of leaving things until late going through check in and security at an unfamiliar airport, but appreciate that wouldn't be everyone's view. Travelling home after a holiday is always a bit of a drag, but dodging queues actually makes it less stressful to me than waiting around in a hotel.

I agree with them and cannot add more than as it's a private transfer you can choose yourself the time you get collected. Also, near in mind that sometimes there could be traffic or other delays and with international flights it's better to be safe than sorry.
Report this content JeanParsons Written on: 14/10/2014
I did not book a private transfer so I cannot really reply to your question, however you should remember that check in for most airlines typically open two hours before flight times so I would rather be too early than too late. If you are late for whatever reason it is your responsibility.
Report this content debbiecampbell Written on: 14/10/2014
It does sound a long time i know, i have been in this situation on many occasions. On one occasion i decided that i didn't want to get there 3 hours before, so i caught the train to the airport.Never again,i didn't leave myself enough time,it took longer than expected, the departures was further away from the train station than the arrivals and i ended up racing around the airport panicking and i just about got to the gate with a minute to spare before it closed and made myself ill in the process. So needless to say i would rather be there early. If the transfer picked you up an hour later and there was an accident or traffic jam and you missed your flight that would not be good business parctice, so they cover their rrrrs so to speak.

Why did I have to wait for a number of other planes to land to fill the bus, the transfer was about 70 mins but I had to wait at the airport 45 minutes before we set off. Missing my transfer to the villa. Had to book into a hotel for the night. I must say if I had known that was going to happen I would not have booked it. Anyone else experienced this?

Personally, I always opt for a private transfer as using shared transport carries the risk of further delays. Yes, there is extra expense, but it is compensated for by the lack of delay and stress. I always consider these things in terms of the incremental cost against the whole cost of the trip - usually the difference in cost is very small in percentage terms.

Personally Ive always just jumped on the coach waited maybe 15mins then away we go. But sometimes there will be 1 or 2 people who dont get this luxury. I would tho recommend using them again, for the price we pay we dont expect door to door limo service. Hope this helps
Report this content BrendaLoughnane Written on: 17/06/2014
I understand your upset about this delay, but when using these companies they do need to get as many bodies on the coach to make it financially viable to them. In future you could check with the company picking you up if they are waiting on other flights and then you could make the decision to take the private transfer rather than the coach to avoid delays. Any contact I have had they have always been very helpful. I also don't think 45 minutes is long to wait, anything up to an hour is quite normal and reasonable. I don't think they usually depart immediately after flights in case of delays, etc.
Report this content geogall Written on: 17/06/2014
It does not matter who you use click transfers travel republic etc, they are only agents for the travel company, you would be better getting a private transfer or taxi.

Hello, I have used Click Transfers on a couple of occassions, as do my parents, and to be honest I have found that the waiting times seem long, despite where I travel. It is very frustrating particualrly if you are on a evening flight and by the time you get to the hotel, the restaurant has closed. With another company I also use, albeit more expensive, they will ensure they do not hang around for other flights, particularly if it is evening or it is a short shuttle time. I wish click transfers did the same. Another company also took me once to my hotel by taxi as I complained whilst there that I had been waiting over 40 minutes. That is good service. Having said that I did complain to click transfers on one occassion and got fully refunded which is also good. In click transfers terms and conditions though it does state the following:- The maximum waiting time for shared shuttle transport is one hour from locating the supplier representative after claiming baggage. Complaints about waiting for less than one hour will not be considered by them.

I presume you have tried the email address and phone number on your confirmation? If you are having no luck with this, you could try phoning the local agent listed on your booking - if it is just a different hotel in the same resort, you can probably just arrange the change of destination directly with them. Good luck!
