Being a Laptop user than designs websites, edits video, makes music and all things creative, I feel it is essential to have a second monitor. I decided to go for a 22", and quickly set about looking for reviews on the best available for around £150.
the features that inspired me to go for the Samsung where as follows.
The colour is fantastic, vibrant, and after calibration, as true to print as I have used.
It has 3 connection types, analogue VGA, Digital DVI, and HDMI. This allows me to connect my pc, my laptop and I have 1 input spare, should it ever be required for my hd camcorder for example.
The Intelligent adjustable image size is a nice addition, it ensures that the image displayed is not distorted or stretched, maintaining its actual resolution.
The speed of the monitor is a big selling point, as with a response time of 5ms, the screen does no struggle to refresh when playing games, viewing video or animation.
the actual stand of this monitor is not adjustable, but the Samsung's Magic Angle allows adjustment digitally, which is awesome. it has 5 settings that internally angle the display up or down to make sure your viewing angle is correct, without having to physically change things. I LOVE this feature.
And finally, it is a nice looking unit with touch sensitive buttons. Not a big deal, but I like them, one swipe of the finger and the screen is off.
I got this for the reasonable price of £130 delivered from Amazon, so I was well within my budget and feel I got a great unit.
