“electric shower fault”

First shower faulty,would not operate,eventually they agreed to send courier to pick it up but would not send a replacement until they had the shoer back,second shower arrived,fitted by electrician would only switch off with pull switch,their attitude is pass the buck to the manufacture who also wanted credit card details before booking callout which will be in three weeks!!!!!! “If you have to send an item back you will have to pay!”

Ordered toilet seat, was wobbly and not fit for purpose,sent it back as told to do when called them. Post office charged nearly £13:00 cheapest way to return item. Victorian Plumbing are refusing to reimburse the postage. I am taking this further. So please be warned of this before you purchase anything from this firm as you could end up out of pocket ! Take your custom to a firm that has the decency to pay the return postage . (read more)

“ORDER AT YOUR PERIL”

Ordered bathroom suite, have so far phoned 3 times, as when fitting parts were missing or were the wrong size. I have had to buy lots of add ons. They are quick to replace, but replace with wrong parts or size. Lovely shower fitted today... oh guess what, it came up with error and now need a replacement... I have spent so much in labour and still dont yet have a bathroom They dont care, just say will send replacement- standard delivery, we went 4 days without a toilet!! now without a shower... Ordered a sink and toilet suite, when it arrived the sink cabinet was badly damaged, this was replaced with out quible (Good service). But on installation when I unpacked the cistern the tank was split, I had to buy a new one. The tap tails did not have 15mm pipe ends but BSP so had to buy new tails (or would have had to buy valves). The pop up sink plug for the sink did not fit the waste trap thread, had to buy new waste trap. The pop up sink plug does not seal when depressed so unable to... (read more)

“Faulty Bath”

I ordered a bath from Victorian Plumbing and when it was delivered it was put to one side waiting for the builder to fit. Needless to say when it was opened a few weeks later there was a chip on the enameling, right in the middle of the bath. I contacted customer services who said I'd left it too late to get in contact and wouldn't be offering a refund. So it's my fault I guess that the goods are damaged? why even give them 2 stars?? This is shocking. Please go to every review site there is & leave this review- they leave 100s of fake positive reviews- there are just too many similar reviews with same disgraceful details to let this just stay ignored. They are ripping people off £100's.

“Very bad customer service”

Personal I would never use again or recommend this company. I placed an order on the 22/09/12 and part of the order was missing when it arrived. I am still waiting on this to date, in fact I am waiting for someone to answer the phone there at the moment. Also after placing the order and paying I was told that an item was out of stock and would not be in till 23/11/12 two months later! I still did not get a refund till 14/10/12. I bought a RAK series 600 close coupled toilet along with a wash hand basin from Victorian plumbing. it got signed for by a decorator I had working at my home on the day. When my husband opened the toilet it was all broken. Last week while waiting for delivery we weren’t given a tracking number so I asked for an update. On the plus side, the goods arrived pretty much when expected and whilst not yet fitted they do look ok. Now the negatives. What also arrived was a wooden pallet measuring approx 3ft x 3ft x 7ft tall, which I was told in no uncertain terms was part of the packaging and was up to me to dispose of (almost impossible without a large van, but hey, we've all got one of those, right?). Over the last year I've ordered a shower base & surround, bar valve, taps & sink. I've been very happy with the service from Victorian Plumbing. With the shower surround, the delivery driver was happy to wait while I checked the glass for any possible damage. I ordered the bar valve knowing it was out of stock at the time but when stock came in the delivery was quick. Having now visited the shop, I'm more than happy to order from these guys again. I noticed similar cabinets were manufacrured from wood, and, telephoned VIKKI MATHEWS who assured me that it was of steel manufacture. We ordered an item that clearly stated it was 'in stock' and informed us that delivery would be within 7 days. The item eventually came over three weeks later. They did not inform us of the delay, we had to telephone them. They lied and said that the item was out of stock at the time of order, when challenged about this they stated that there had been several orders at the same time, hence the mix up. I ordered an acrylic end bath panel and a RAK 600 toilet from them. The end bath panel arrived with a dent and a tear, and the toilet seat was smashed when it arrived. My builders received the item and only opened the box 11 days after delivery, and Victorian Plumbing refused to deal with my issue. Placed the order after finding the exact shower curtain we needed (extra wide and pretty long) for our shower at work. also saw they were machinewasable so perfect. ordered 2, at a reasonable price. I would not recommend these jokers to anyone. We ordered a lot of things (£100's) for our bathroom *all* of which were shown as being in stock on their website. We ordered 4 weeks before we needed them. Apparently 'in stock' means that they have them in their warehouse. This apparently is not the same as the common understanding of 'in stock' and means that you will encounter many, many delays. It took them four weeks to fail to deliver a number of the items. I placed an order for some tile samples with Victorian Plumbing and everything seemed to be going well. Then the normal delivery window passed and no tiles. The company are not aware of their obligations under the distance selling regulations. I have requested their local trading standards advise them.
They do not have to pay for your return postage, although most good companies will do. They do, however, have to refund the original p&p provide you carry out your obligations. Which they maintain they do not have to.
The following is a query from a company
What specifically do I have to refund to the consumer if they cancel?
3.48 The DSRs require you to refund any money paid by or on behalf of the consumer in relation to the contract to the person who made the payment. This means the full price of the goods, or deposit or pre- payment made, including the cost of delivery. The essence of distance selling is that consumers buy from home and receive goods at home. In these circumstances, almost every case of home shopping will involve delivery of the goods ordered and so delivery forms an essential part of the contract.
I agree with you - I would not use this company again. Very poor customer service
