Have recommended Lovestruck to three friends who have all enjoyed success there. One of them isn't exactly a looker, and he's still getting messages through. It's a website for (funnily enough) singles who want to meet other singles. Sounds like an obvious point to make, but go on Match and OK Cupid and see if you can find any decent members on there that are willing to meet up! I've done my trail of the online dating world, and I'm glad Lovestruck has proved it's not all fruitless. (read more)

The best of the paid-for sites IMO. A huge member base with detailed profiles and good pictures, eliminating the chance (almost) of oddballs stalking you. All of the questionnaires, match algorithms and stuff like that seem to work really well. I've been a member for only about 3 months but I've had a good number of nights out thanks to LS. (read more)

I've a bad habit of signing up for things, forgetting about them and only realising a few months down the line that I've been paying through my teeth for something I never use (gym memberships anyone????) Extremely hard work if I'm honest. For a website that proclaims to be where busy people click, how many people have the time for such dedication? I'll admit that it's addictive but that can be a bad thing when you've got so much on your plate. Having said that, it can't necessarily be a fault of Lovestruck's. 2 months into a 3 month contract, I've had one date and have one on the cards. I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of Lovestruck and I thought they were just another fish in the dating water to snatch my money. Watch out with this website!!!!! They have been using my credit card without my permission and there is no phone number you can contact them at, they don't reply emails, it is really hard to cancel your membership and once you are able to do so, they still charge your bank account! I met my ex boyfriend of over 9 months on lovestruck and whilst I had various teething problems with the site initially, such as people not responding to my messages and even being stood up on a date! The site overall seems to have a high quality of men on there rather then the chancers there are, like on the free sites.
