I've had my Gala tent for two years now, I use it as a shelter at motorsport events throughout the country and on average once the tent is up it will be up for 3 days. So far it has endured Hail, snow, sleet and heavy rain and we have no leaks or problems with the covers. Assembly is quick with two people and once set up we never have to worry about it. Why choose Gala tent? Well why Not?. If It’s Quality at an Affordable price you are after, then you would be a fool not to choose a Gala Tent. “Sadly very poor quality”

I bought a 6m x 4m gala tent and I had lots of problems. The poles don't fit in the ground bars properly and the holes don't line up so you can put the bolts in. The wing nuts are such poor quality you need a spanner to turn them at all and the little nuts welded on the poles are splitting off after 1 use for 3 days. The seams will leak as you can see the sun coming through the stitching holes. The instructions tell you it is not waterproof and you have to buy an extra seam sealant, but I... (read more)

We have several Gala tents of all sizes and hire them out. We haven't had any issues and their durability is first class. The service offered by the company is excellent, I would recommend them anytime. The multi span tents are well made, heavy duty tubing and good firm joints. The fabric choice is good although we tend to use the cheaper PE fabric as it is easier for us to keep clean. “Leaking seams”

I have also bought a tent from Tent GalaTent and every seam is leaking, I have bought seam sealant from a camping supplies and informed Galatent of problem and they have agreed to send me some also. I have sealed all the wall seams with sealer I purchased and this morning when I got up they were still leaking. Having read of similar issues I am now concerned that this problem cannot be resolved. I will reseal seams when sealer arrives from Galatent and see what happens but previous reviews... (read more)

Thank you for your review, sometimes it is a common mistake to assume your tent is leaking as this is 99% of the time condensation which is difficult to control ... contact our customer service team on customer.care@galatent.co.uk .... I' m sure they will be able to identify your problem.

We ordered the tent for our son's 18th birthday party and it arrived in good time and in excellent condition. It was easy to erect and take down. The weather was wet and windy but the guests stayed dry and warm. The only thing we discovered was that the roof leg joints could not be hooked into the poles when the tent was zipped up - not a major criticism just a minor design fault! Also the tent pegs need more of a hook on the top as the eyelets just pulled off in the wind - again... (read more)

I used the Gala Star Shade for two charity events in September 2011. For the first event the Gala Star Shade was used to shelter various stalls (tombola etc) and for the second it acted as a location for the refreshments. The weather at the first event was poor, with high winds and intermittent showers - some of which were very heavy. “Poor quality and service”

VERY VERY dissapointed with gala tent. Roof canopy leaks badly through the stitching When we contacted the company we were sent a silacone seam seal that didnt work. In desperation we ordered a new top of the range canopy which leaked through the stitching in exactly the same fashion. The company only responded to our requests for a telephone call after putting the money into dispute. At which we were threatened with no action till we released the funds. it is a common mistake to think your canopy is leaking when actually it is a condensation built up through moisture from the ground and when hot air meets cold. The only way to prevent this is ventilation or using a dehumidifier: The old style caravans were terrible for this, during off season you had to leave salt pots out or leave well ventilated to absorb moisture otherwise water is pooring from the ceiling.... however newer vans have updated ventilation equipment....... is your canopy leaking in water.... i think not as this would defy the laws of physics on a pitch roof structure.

firstly i would like to say that gala tent have now FINALLY refunded my money.. so anyone else out there having problems please dont give up as we do now have the result we wanted.. but what a process.. wouldnt it have been great if they had just done that in the first place and avoided all this nastiness and stress.
In response to ECAM.. the problem was in no way condensation.. I am aware of what condensation is like We have had a structure like this for over 10 years with no problem of leaking... ONLY the gala tent has leaked. There is no problem with ventilation when the stall is completely open on one side as we are open and trading. When it rains water pours in through the seam stitching. It is NOT dripping universaly from the roof as condensation would.
The issue with Gala tent is mainly to do with their dreadful customer service this would never have escalated into such a problem if their customer service representative hadnt been so difficult to deal with, using bullying tactics to get me to remove my dispute with paypal then not acknowledging our phone calls etc.
I do hope that they will take note and improve their service forthwith but for now PLEASE PLEASE be careful before you buy

WHAT IS GOING ON.. it makes me wonder if any of the positive comments on here genuine. How can people make a judgement on weather to use a company or not when all negative comments keep being removed

As a follow up i do know that several people commented on my original review with support and their own stories which have now been removed.
Gala tent on several occasions attemted to have my review removed. Fortunatly they failed so at least this one review still stands as a warning that should you have problems with your product then dont expect a friendly helpful customer service team.

What a pleasure to deal with a company who are helpful, polite and efficient. We ordered a Gala shade pro MX 3m x 3m shortly before 3.00 p.m and received it at 8.45 a.m next day. Heavier than expected but no danger of it being blown away by the wind! A good solid product and pleasing to the eye.

Easy to erect, only took half an hour compared to a similiar sized gazebo we borrowed from a friend, which took 1 hour 45 minutes with 7 people. The service from Gala Tents was efficient and quick, they even managed to add an extra item to my order, which was an afterthought on my behalf. Also it is a very comment mistake to believe your tent is leaking when condensation accurse inside the structure when hot air meets cold, especially overnight. Gala structures are waterproof on the outside which means when its rains no water will poor in your structure, however they are not a sealed unit and condensation can be a problem inside the structure this is why we advertise water resistant. If seems become worn or stretched overtime, seam sealant can be used in these areas.
