“Real Time Stock Reporting is a lie and most items are...”

I have tried to order from this company on 2 different occasions, and neither of the items turned up in the 1-2 days delivery window. At the first time I ordered a fish tank on Monday as I was planning to set it up that weekend. On Thursday I decided to call them to get an update, as I have not received a dispatch notice about the item. The lady on the phone claimed that they only had 1 of the tank in stock and sadly they found on inspection that it was broken, so decided to order another one from the supplier but that will take about 2 weeks to be delivered for me. BUT if I am not happy with this solution, they are happy to offer me another product, that is currently in stock. I find it very weird that reading others' reviews here this seems to be a very common excuse for not delivering tanks... Anyway, I did not accept a replacement and asked my money to be refunded. Ended up ordering from another site the same day and the tank was delivered the next day. Only positive point about Rocket Aquatics is that they at least indeed sent me my money back. On the second occasion I have ordered a mini filter from them which was also listed as in stock. The same thing happened as before - after 2 working days I decided to contact them (this time via email) to get an update about the filter. To my surprise the item was out of stock again, but I was offered to be sent another item that is actually in stock... Again I refused and asked for a refund. So all in all the Real Time Stock Reporting on their website is a sham, and they actually have a very low stock of certain items only which they will try to offer as a replacement for you, in case you take the time and try to contact them to get an update about your order. If you won't contact them you will probably only receive your item in about 2-3 weeks, but definitely not in 1-2 working days!

“terrible customer service”

Worst experience ever, 6 days for 1-2 day deliver, customer service appalling, was told to wait till after theyd had lunch before they would find my missing parcel. turns out they never sent it then lied there was a delay! I asked to be called back with update ended up chasing the company constantly, terrible terrible experience!!!

“One star is to many! ”

I ordered a wall mounted Aquarium which arrived in a Rabbit hutch box with no lid or instructions, not information how and what to use to wall mount (held 66 litres) and had scratches all over the glass. I called up Racket Aquatics and was told it was brand new and to use raw plugs to attach to the wall.... Wonderful advice! After having to beg to return it, it took 8 days to receive a refund minus £36 to cover their delivery cost.... I understand that is fair if it was brand new and I changed my mind but it was to be given as a gift, with a big Bunney picture on the side of the box. There are much better websites out their and the customer service & knowledge can't be worse than Racket Aquatics Defiantly AVOID they are a complete joke

“Online servic and delivery spot on”

I ordered a Aquael leddy 60 aquarium tank and kit and paid for next day delivery online from them. The order was dispatched by them and duly arrived at my door as ordered the following afternoon. Living in North Northumberland and in a remote location, that to me is very impressive organization from a business based in Bedfordshire. Thanks to them for a great service, and I'll definitely be using them again.

“My order has not arrived as promised”

I have placed an order with this company with Expectation that it would arrive by the end of the week,how wrong . Having conversed via e mail saying product has been sent it has still not arrived. I have tried to telephone but just goes to answerphone. I then began to review this company and can see instinctively I have made a bad error of judgment ,and yet the chap on the phone seemed so nice ,maybe that's because I gave him my card details!

“Damaged product.Awful service”

I ordered a 4kg tub of blanket weed prevention powder.It arrived dented,lid half off and most of the contents spilt. I contacted the company who demanded I send pics.Which I did via e-mail(my computer verified their receipt of the pics).Rocket Aquatics denied receiving pictures so I sent hard copies via snail-mail. They offered a derisory 50% refund.I declined and said I would complain via my payment method.Eventually I was refunded but had to ,again, send proof of postage. A wholly unpleasant and unprofessional experience.Their attitude on the phone was even worse.

“Not to be trusted”

http://www.rocketaquatics.co.uk/ I must say I have never written a review before but have been compelled to on this occasion to warn would be buyers from purchasing from this supplier Rocket Aquatics & Pets. I purchased on the 11th August 2014 a Juwel Vision 450 Black Tank and Cabinet + Free Juwel Vision 450 Decoration Kit. Juwel Decoration Kit comprising of: (gravel, aquarium background, fish net and water conditioner) worth £120 + Juwel auto feeder, attracted by their competitive price of £1024.00 delivered. I spoke to an adviser who was very helpful at the time of purchase and arrange delivery for 21st August 2014. From then on all went terribly wrong; the tank delivered was completely smashed the only pane to survive was the left hand side. I straight away called Tony who virtually said tough call the delivery company which I thought was strange. They seemed understanding but said Rocket Aquatics & Pets needs to advise them of the damage. I called Rocket Aquatics & Pets and informed them what the delivery company had said, I advised Tony that I was going to contact my bank credit card and raise a dispute to this Tony said you can but the banks have always favoured his company in damaged deliveries and he had never been compensated by his delivery company when good have been damaged in transit. The short story after sending many request to Rocket Aquatics & Pets I never received a rely back it was only when my bank got involved did they respond to them saying it was their belief that the goods were damaged after delivery in attempting to move/transport them as they were delivered to a work address. Rocket Aquatics & Pets delivered the goods to my home which is also my home address. The goods have never been moved or opened fully the 3 x 25kg Natural Dorset Gravel and Juwel auto feeder also never received. Rocket Aquatics & Pets were given the statutory time to respond and they never did and on the 6th November I received a letter from my bank to say my dispute with Rocket Aquatics & Pets has been successful and I have received a full refund.

“Rio 240 Aquarium”

I purchased a Juwel Rio 240 Aquarium from Rocket Aquatics at an amazingly low price. Then came here, saw all the bad reviews and became slightly worried. My worries where soon to be put to bed. Brilliant service. At first I ordered the wrong colour but after simple email to let them know, my order was changed and I was informed within the hour. Next I had entered my mobile number wrongly, again he emailed me as soon as he discovered this. I received my aquarium yesterday, less than a week since ordered, everything was perfect right down to the free, palletforce excellent delivery service. Would I recommend them to others? Absolutely. Thank you Rocket for excellent and smooth service

“Hutch Order”

I have ordered a double hutch. Order was on 20/04/14. It's now 6/5/14 and have heard nothing. No calls are answered as they are out of the office and they advise to emaile sales for a response. I have done this so many times now and still haven't heard any more!

I ordered 10kg bag of fish food and had several emails to confirm order, payment and delivery date. The order had been dispatched but was not delivered to me on the days i was told to expect it! I rang the delivery company who told me that rocket aquatics had requested the order be returned to them, the supplier. I rang rocket aquatics only to hear a recorded message saying due to a trade fair they could not communicate for another 3 weeks! my koi carp needed the food now!! I donot trust them so far have not got the order but they have my money!

“very poor service”

I ordered a complete terrapin set up with next day delivery. It was delivered on a pallet, with only one person home to get a 4ft fish tank in the house. sent the wrong hinge so only have one door out of two on cupboard. I could live with that, only chance to move him into the new tank for awhile. got him all moved in and the light doesn't work. sent them an email, finally get a reply telling me to contact the people they brought it from. after a few days of sending emails here there and everywhere it turns out it is their problem, I was asked to send back the faulty light 2nd class by this time its the weekend so wont be returned till wed. no word from rocket aquatics till the wed. they waited to get the faulty light back before the would even send a replacement or an email. not even one apology. £18 for next day delivery that turned out to be 9 days late. would never ever order from them again.

“Poor customer service”

I ordered a Fish R Fun 7 litre hexagonal acrylic aquarium from this company for my sons 11th birthday.The aquarium was heavily bubble wrapped and because his birthday was almost 3 weeks after the delivery date I left it wrapped for him to open. As soon as it was out of the box it was immediately apparent that it was badly scratched, one 5 inch scratch and many small abrasions on the acrylic. I immediately e-mail Rocket Aquatics with photographic evidence. They showed no interest and took no responsibility. I am now left with a damaged item I bought in good faith as new and a very unhappy child. They are clearly not interested in good customer service and are now not answering my e-mails. Beware the risk of buying from this company in case anything goes wrong and you are stuck with damaged goods. I am left to seek redress from my credit card company. AVOID.

I bought the Interpet fishpond 120 from Rocket aquatics at a discounted price, over £100 cheaper than Amazon. I placed the order via the telephone as I work and have limited time off. As promised the couriers phoned prior to the delivery. Date. (Which could have been a day early) the delivery went swimmily without a hitch, the fish tank was delivered on time with another cal from the driver to ensure I was ready for him. I could not fault the service I have received from Rocket or the couriers. Thank you so much. Teri

“FRF-440 Black 20L, Bad start, Excellant finish. ”

Ordered the fish r fun 440, 20l aquarium for my daughter as a gift. Delivery time was good but unable to check item till later as I had go to work. On inspection I found it had transit damage inside the packaging. Contacted them over the weekend by email and photos of damage. New aquarium delivered within 48hrs,(wednesday) excellantly packaged and checked in front of courier. All correspondance with them was signed by collegue Tony. I usually check review sites before making a purchase but only checked this site afterwards. I had to do this review as I have read some negative reviews about them here. I found them excellant to correct a mistake with the delivery and prompt with their customer service. I am also very happy with the item purchased and would have no problem purchasing from them again. Allan K.

“Never Again!”

I ordered a large FRF tank originally, it arrived in bad condition, and after contacting Tony, who evidently is the face of Rocket Aquatics, he refused outright to return my products. I sent him photographic evidence of the scratches inside the tank and chips on the wood, he said it was not 'enough' damage to be returnable. How much damage is 'enough'!? Its a new product and only perfect condition is acceptable. I have bought an external filter which leaked, they refused to return. A pump, broke after 8 months. The hood of the FRF tank was faulty and the lights packed up after 7 months; which oddly enough they agreed to exchange, but after specifying silver, they delivered a brown lid and refused to change it. Telling me they didnt have silver in stock. Did they expect me just not to notice that it wasn't brown!? I was bought a bigger, even more expensive full tank set up; a 5ft tank, cabinet and filter from Rocket Aquatics 3 years later, after vowing never to order off Tony and his abysmal customer service again. However my parents, unknowingly used the site. Again the external filter leaked, my emails of which i complained about, were refused. When i demanded a new cabinet, which was ruined due to the leakage, they refused. It was not safe to hold the aquarium, and now 2 years later I still have the aquarium on a coffee table. I asked them what I was to do with my ruined laminate flooring, they again, seemed to shrug their shoulders and ignore me. I was told without an order number they could not help. Even though I had the name, address, email address and card number of the purchaser. Outrageous. Never again will I order off this obnoxious man, and a word of advice, dont either!

“I was less than happy about my purchase at Rocket...”

I was less than happy about my purchase at Rocket Aquatics and could not honestly recommend it to anyone. I received my starter kit aquarium and checked everything was in it,then wrapped it up as a present for my boyfriend. We later unwrapped it and began to set it up when we found that the heater was broken, the dial had obviously snapped off during transit and the temperature could not be adjusted or known. I'd bought the tank especially because it included the heater. After they refused to answer the phone various times when I rang in, I emailed them about my disappointment and they simply told me that too much time had elapsed (barely one month) and that they could do nothing about the problem. I now have to spend an extra £10 at least on a new heater. Don't be fooled by low prices - you will likely end up having to pay a lot more money to make up for damage to your product!

To be fair, you've ordered on some fish food. You have, with your 5 stars, put this attrocious comany's star rating up dramatically with your review. That is totally your perogative - but really if a company cannot deliver some fish food efficiently - Well? So great that you are letting innocent customers who want to spend alot of money on items that are a bit more than fish food feel safe.................
