“Broken drain pipe”

After phoning to say that we had discovered a damaged drain pipe we spoke to a very helpful person who told us an engineer would be out between 1 & 5pm. We had a call from the engineer about 1.30 to say that he would be with us in half an hour, he turned up on time sorted out the problem by replacing a section of pipe and the job was done. Having the need to call out Homeserve on 2. occasions recently I feel that from the start I was treated with a polite and efficient service. The receptionist very quickly arranged for a plumber to attend my problems the same day. Having being able to ask for a.m or p.m. which was particularly helpful as it allowed me to carry on with my normal life. On arrival , the plumber quickly and efficiently dealt with the problem. i had a leak under my sink and the plummer came out and said it was not leaking but i had a second plummer could out because i had to tear the sheetrock out from behind the sink because it was wet and he said the value need to be replace because they were still leaking the plummer came out for a second time and said nothing was covered be cause i brought a new sink all i ask him to do was replace the value not fix the sink then he want to take a picture of the sink that is crazy… Read Full Review

Can recommend plumber very highly, he was very diligent, did the absolute minimum of damage and cleared up after himself. I have water supply pipe cover and called Homeserve when I noticed water under my utility room flooring, and deduced it was coming out of the concrete where the pipe comes out. Initially the service was impressive and an engineer arrived within 4 hours. He sucked through his teeth and said the job was outside his skillset and passed the job back to his office. “Second repair!”

This is the second time in probably two months that I have called Homeserve out for the same problem! My drain at the kitchen sink was bloced at it had been before, the first time the guy cleared (?) it, but within a couple of days it had started filling up again! So I left it until it got bad before calling Homeserve again. Excellent service all round...phoned about midday on a Friday to report a leaking toilet cistern. I was given an appointment for 5 hours later. Plumber phoned 30-40 minutes prior to arrival and arrived almost exactly as promised. The plumber knew exactly what was wrong - and replaced all internal parts of the cistern. “Poor diagnosis and execution”

Underground central heating leak, they brought in specialist leak detectors who identified the primary leak point that wasn't a leak. Lots of damage to floor, including big dings to the pipes. Asked me to make decisions on what to do next as if I was the specialist. Complained and got a few pounds compensation for the damaged pipes. Had my own plumber fix the problem with an additive to the system, so wish I hadn't bothered calling them - still have the hole in the floor to sort out… Read Full Review

“Replacing an outside overflow pi[pe”

The pipe had burst and needed replacing - I informed the customer service team the pipe color was white ( so that the replacement pipe could fit in with the rest of the pipework) engineer turned up with a grey pipe that looks odd and very unprofessional.
