we requested a cleaning service from this company mentioning that we need someone during the weekdays and not between the time 11 to 2. Then they sent a person for interview who said she would do only during the weekends. Then they said they r sending 2 Portuguese ladies to come and work and they arrived at 1p.m in the afternoon when the baby was sleeping without informing. Then they were scheduled for another day. The cleaner they assigned to us (Chevon) did not want to do half the jobs we asked her to- she had a terrible attitude and to top it all off- stole from us. She stole money from us and never left change if we left too much money! The supervisors were useless and still haven't refunded us our money and didn't do anything when we told them the issues. We have had many cleaners before and never have they been as bad at Maid 2 Clean! AVOID THEM!! (read more)

I first contacted Maid2Clean about 2 years ago and have had excellent service from [name removed]. We had [name removed] for a while who was simply amazing. When she moved away, [name removed] was very efficient and accommodating in arranging a replacement ironer and cleaner that I was happy with. The services were affordable flexible to my needs. We had a nice girl to clean for us during her University vacation. Inevitably, there were times when she wanted to change the arrangements, or even cancel a clean as she wanted to make something of her summer break. First they took ages to find someone to send to us, then the first person they wanted to send was a septuagenarian and the second person they tried to send couldn't find the place. Unbelievable. We have used Maid2Clean Watford for a couple of years now. Like other reviewers, all is fine initially but when there is an issue, they are slow to respond and, in our case they have let us down completely. They promise to find replacement cleaners if there is an issue - not true and when our regular cleaner resigned from their company recently, we did not find out until our cleaner texted us to discuss returning the key, despite telling the company 2 weeks earlier. I have used Maid2clean (Worksop) for the past few years and the standard of service has dropped considerably in the last 6 months. My regular cleaner left due to a family emergency and since then the agency has struggled to find me a replacement. I am chronically ill and disabled so a cleaner is a necessity rather than a luxury but I've been left for weeks at a time without help, not knowing when or if anyone was coming. I have had a cleaner for a few months now and I am very happy with the service. My clean is very friendly and does a great job, which frees me up to do other things as I work long hours. I've had great service from their call centre, they always answer the phone (a lot of companies I've used in the past haven't!) and its peace of mind knowing that my cleaner is insured again any damage (unlike independent ones). I have been with Maid2Clean now for many years now. I can confidentally advise people to avoid this company. I am still not sure what value they bring to the entire process. I have not received a single, no - not a single Email/piece of paper through the post OR telephone call from the team asking or following up on the cleaner they have provided. In well over 4 years! Decide to get a cleaner for 3 hours a week for my house. A lady came in and explained the agency takes 2.75 from the 9.00 hourly rate and therefore I needed to set up a standing order of 35.75 for the agency - to be paid in advanced, the rest would be paid directly to the cleaner. She did not want me to take her through what I wanted done, she just said to explain to the cleaner when she comes in to get the house keys. just so you understand well this company, after 10 days that I cancelled the service I got finally a reply from the lady in charge, Louise Barwick but it wasn't without a "child in hospital" excuse which I'm sure it is a lie since the cleaner used the same excuse to her own child.
In reply to why have I not been given a key receipt, she said the cleaner offered me one but I refused to sign it. What a joke that is, why on earth would I refuse it? It was never mentioned to me by neither of them.
This company and this woman are an absolutely SHAM. Best to avoid or then can even steal from you since they keep the keys after the service is cancelled.

Allen Lever (the owner) laughed at me when I said I was looking for a cleaner on a Friday (bit odd). We agreed to a months trial cleaning, however when the month was up he was demanding another months notice. Also I overpaid a nominal amount which he refused to refund me. I decided to not use this cleaning serivce after a month because the cleaning was definitely NOT professional standard. The cleaning was terrible. Would AVOID this company!!!! (read more)

I am using this service from last few weeks, 80% of the time either they mention cleaner is sick or is on holidays etc. They are not able to arrange alternate cleaners as well. When asked about the refund the processing time for the refund is 10 to 14 days and that is by cheque. Highly customer unfrindly service..disgusting and frustarted by this service. Will never recommend to anybody ever. (read more)

I called lots of reps to get an idea of prices, some of them said that I would have to be tied into a contract for 3 months before I could exit if I didn't like the service. I chose Maid 2 Clean as there was no mention of this. A cleaner came round for me to interview her, and said this was her first job with Maid 2 Clean which didn't fill me with confidence, but I thought 'everyone has to start somewhere' so I said for her to start the following week. I urge you to avoid this company. I met a cleaner completely independently via a friend, and the cleaner stated a preference that I deal with Maid2clean rather than work independently. I was happy to go along with this, but after I told Maid2clean that I would rather have not used them if I'd had the choice, they called the cleaner and told her that if she did go independent they would consider this to be poaching and no longer send her any clients. I contacted the Surrey Hills Maid2Clean office to find a cleaner for my house in Farnham. They were very helpful and willing to match the cleaner to my requirements. Contacted York franchise had to wait two weeks for first contact (there was a Bank Holiday in between)Then arranged to meet cleaner. On appointed day made special arrangements to be available but cleaner did not turn up. Phoned 'owner' who said he would phone back with explanation - four days later still waiting. I liked the flexibility of not having a set routine every week, I just leave a note for my cleaner the things I want doing. After 6 months the cleaner advised us and the company that she could no longer clean for us. I used this company for a one off clean. Work was not up to standard and items broken. The cleaner left areas uncleaned i.e by toilet and under sofa as wellas breaking part of shower.
No recompense offered and both franchisee and owner of franchise were abusive when I attempted to complain. Do not use this company!
