“OH MY GOD, FIRST HOLIDAY RUINED ”

we found a flight and holiday and they persuade us to go another hotel as its a better deal which we did so. Three days before we were going to fly they called us up saying our hotel has been canceled i thought that was UNPROFESSIONAL itself calling us three day before?!! We have a charge of £25 per person because the hotel is no longer available, dont dare to waste another pound so sadly were not going.. (read more)

This company should not be allowed to operate, prices are not true their about 35% more thank advertised. They book your holiday and then ring you half an hour later apologising that your holiday is no longer available and offer you a much more expensive deal this happened to me yesterday the operator she tells lies!!!. Use sunshine for holidays their great for hotels and genuine prices. (read more)

“Ice Lolly advertisers use Bait and Switch!”

Ice Lolly advertisers use the Bait and Switch tactic which is illegal I can prove that their prices don't exist. They advertise holidays at below net prices and then add things on to the price that don't even exist. Sometimes the companies that advertise on icelolly take you card details and money then phone you back after you think you have booked the holiday to tell you that the price has gone up, and that you can pay the extra money or they will refund your card, it will take about 2 to 3... Icelolly are completely misleading and their so called "deals" are not what they say. They happen to have "overbooked""supris suprise"the price has gone up by a huge amount. Don't bother even looking ,I wasted hours. (read more)

“Do not give this company your card details ”

This is a rouge company that displays good deals online but hides loads of hiddin charges.These only come to light after you have givin your card details !! an extra £400 !! After explaining that we did not want to proceed they still continued to process the order !! STAY AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!! They then try to charge you to cancel !!! (read more)

Whatever you do, do not book through Deal Of The Day or any of the other agents listed on icelolly.com!! I called Deal Of The Day to enquire about a holiday which was far cheaper than anywhere else I had seen. They are an Indian call centre who trick you into thinking that you will pay the incredibly attractive price displayed, however they continue to take your passenger details, personal details and credit card details before adding costs for every possible thing they could think of and... "AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE - HOLIDAYS DO NOT EXIST" Saw a great deal flying from Bristol to Corfu + accommodation for 14 nights at £156 pp for 3 of us in mid October 2012. Being an ex-travel agent, I should have realised that something was wrong. I had checked the flight before even calling them, only Easyjet fly to Corfu on the date stated, the flights were £165 pp, how could DOTD have such a great price ? Simple they don't ! Thanks for this, I was just about to ring and book a holiday in Oct from East Midlands which my local travel agent said seemed too good to be true and she couldn't get anywhere near the price quoted.

Icelolly are only a prce comparison site, but the actual holidays they compare are from very ill run travel agents. The prices quoted don't include transfers most of the time and end up being more expensive than doing it yourself. I found a deal on icelolly and phoned up, it turned out to be from R-travel who have horrible reviews and i understand why. Had a horrible experience booking a holiday i found on icelolly, basically overpaid for a holiday i never got. Would never recommend icelolly... (read more)

I represent this Icelolly and would like to comment that we do take all complaints regarding anyone advertising on our site very seriously. If you complain to Icelolly about any advertiser this is logged and a full investigation carried out. this includes speaking with the complainant to draw the matter to a satisactory close. If you did pay for a holiday that you did not recieve you would of course be entitled to your money back and would need to speak to the company with which they have booked with. I apologise for your bad experience on using Icelolly, please be assured this will be noted.

I sent a complaint and it was passed on to Deal on the Day when i specfically asked for Icelolly comments. Deal of the Day have not bother to get in touch, so i got in touch with icelolly again and they have also failed to reply. Everything i have read on this website is the experience I had. The biggest joke was I reasured that it was the total cost with no add on about 5 times, yes the total price you will pay per person he said. After giving credit card details a significant amount of money was added for admin and boarding passes. On informing the operative that I asked for the full cost of the holiday. He said "i wouldn't call an admin fee and a boarding pass part of the holiday!!!". I will be advising people not to use Icelolly, it is a ripoff
