We bought this thermometer primarily to monitor our young childs temperature.

The idea of having a non-contact device was good - as we often needed to check her temperature at night when she was asleep.

Great idea, but the product is awful.

We followed the instructions, watched the (boringly long) DVD instructions and then tried to use it.

Each time we used it we got a different reading - really quite different.
