Porridge is porridge as is the granola and muesli. The snack bars are too sweet. Few of the soups are ok. Main meals are tasteless and processed - all the meals tasted the same with a bit of spice added. Very disappointed (read more)

I ordered two months supply of Diet Chef food as we were going on holiday and we wanted to loose a little weight. I paid an excessive amount as I had only ordered 2 months as it was cheaper to buy more. The first month arrived and we received an e mail notifying us that the second month was about to be shipped and allowed us to change some of our choices. Some of the dishes were OK but others tasted very processed so we did try some other dishes. Whilst on holiday we received an e mail... (read more)

First, the quality of the food is edible but the company is either not prepared for the demand it may be receiving or is badlly managed. Please please be careful and read the contractual terms carefully because even if you purchase a one moth minimum contract , the contract will automatically be rolled over without asking you. This Company appears to have no interest in its clients as I did not receive any follow up calls to ask how the "diet " was going. Please avoid totally unscrupulous... (read more)

Bought 1 months' supply off eBay (wasn't going to pay full price!). Breakfasts - great. Thai Chicken Soup is absolutely REVOLTING (had to pour into mug and drink straight down!), as are some of the dinners. Only good thing is - no cooking, lol. (read more)

I decided to try diet chef as read good reviews. My first package arrived and then i had my first weeks worth of meals which i didnt get on with and didnt like the fact that the food was all processed. I then chosse to cancel my subscription to prevent getting 2 more boxes of unwanted food and another £225 going out of my bank account. I then entered into communication with diet chef and they informed me that it was £100 to cancel i then received another load of food as they didnt put a... (read more)

Well I started diet chef about three weeks ago. The food was tastey but little did I know may be it's the worms which were given the lovely flavour! Guess what, I found a WORM in my minstrone soup today! I contacted diet chef and was less than impressed with their response. I need to send back the worm and food at my own expense 'for analysis'. A photo apparently isn't good enough. I would avoid - god alone knows how many worms I've eaten and haven't seen. I'm so upset about this! (read more)

I have always been a keen cyclist but have never had the confidence to wear the out fit. That was until I came across Diet Chef. I was very skeptical as I do like my food. I love nothing more than eating a carvery and filling that plate full of roasters! Well, I took a 1 month hamper and started my Diet Chef journey. It was really tough at first trying to adjust to the smaller portions but I persevered and boy has it paid off. In the first month I lost 8lb and immediately signed up for... (read more)

I had a couple of friends who had tried a delivery diet but didn't try it myself as I am a bit of a foodie so couldn't imagine eating anything sent packaged in the post. Having said that... I saw an offer for a week of food from diet chef so I thought that even if I didn't like it no big deal. But to be fair to them the food tastes good, its not a problem to eat it each meal. So I've signed up for a month. Too early to say what the effect will be but at the end of the day its 1500 calories... (read more)

Reading their website, it says to add fresh fruit or veg. How much did you find you would have to add or did you add at all?

Well I was very sceptical with getting pre packaged food delivered to my house, but it is just great. I have to say that the tastiest meal has to be the Meatballs. With a bit of rice it was very filling. I also have to say the snacks are also very tasty. I have done plenty of diets that never seem to work but this is just great. Well i shall submit further reviews once i have (hopefully) got down to my ideal weight. (read more)

I love most of the food, some more, others less. But this is no problem since there is a big choice. I lost 19kg in 14 weeks and still going strong. I like to get another 5-8 kg down. fell the most comfortable between 65 -70 at my age. The diet is easy to follow and to stick to and I feel very healthy. My short breathlessness has gone and I can now also go up the stairs without thinking I will get a heart-attack soon.. It also helped me to eat more sensible when eating other foods, since... After being on continuous diets for many years I can say Diet Chef is the best ever. Yes I have lost a lot of weight with another company that consisted of shakes and soups etc, but after the first 3 months I craved for real food. With Diet Chef I know I will be able to stay with it as the real food is wonderful, I can honestly say that with all the meals I have had so far, only one or two of them I wasn't to keen on them, but then again I have tried them a second time around they didn't... At 51 I have been on many diets. Some I happily recommended (usually over a glass of wine!) and others I would never dare admit to. I tried them all (although I would rather forget the cabbage soup diet!). One of the main reasons that most diets failed me was the amount of effort required in planning and cooking my meals. And boredom. I definitely find dieting boring! I'm ok for the first couple of weeks but after that I just don't find the same meals day after day very appealing and have no... (read more)

I decided to try Diet Chef after many years of losing and gaining the same 20lbs - I've tried every possible way to lose weight, well, except for maybe a tapeworme, but it was loosely under consideration! I followed Gillian McKeith's You Are What You Eat diet, spent several years at Weight Watchers, Slimming World and Rosemary Conley. I've tried hypnosis and slimming pills including Xenical and Ali, I've tried the Cambridge diet and the chewing it up and spitting it out diet, the starvation... (read more)

After trying a number of diets - and my husband's weight increasing and thus his snoring - we have both signed up to Diet Chef. We've both lost half a stone so far (five weeks) and are quite pleased.
Don't be too put off by the outlay. We've saved money with less take aways and buying shopping that we don't get round to cooking and thus we've stopped throwing money away. If you use this voucher MYECE@GK you'll get £10 off at the checkout.
We've also saved time - it's very quick. Most meals...

What a waste of time. Started the diet without checking the box. on day 3 i realized there were soups and snacks missing. contacted diet chef who were very unhelpful and when the replacement products were finally delivered it was too late for me to continue with the diet!!! the products were tasty but the diet did not work for me due to the incorrect amount of products and the fact that the diet was broken on day 3. waste of time and money and the supervisor i dealt with was unhelpful and... The really impressive thing about this diet (Diet Chef) - apart from all the other things, it that it really has altered my approach/attitude/habits - which word do i need?
Having seen how "small" the meal portions were, i soon reliased why i was overweight. I was on it for 2 months, then took a couple of months off - it was easy not to regain any weight, as i no longer wanted to eat so much.
I have not followed it exactly, i am not keen on the breakfasts, and my father brings a meal...

I love diet chef - it's great having all my meals prepared and the range is great. All I need to buy is fruit and veg, milk and rice/pasta/potatoes everything else I need is delivered to my door once a month, so although the initial cost seems high my weekly shopping bill is minimal.
My favourite meals are the granola for breakfast, almost every soup in the range for lunch and chilli, chicken tikka masala or meatballs for dinner. The snacks are really tasty too - my favourite being the...

How often are diet chef uk meals delivered? Daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly? I would like to know for storage considerations. Also, what happens if you are not at home when hampers are delivered?
