“Designer not paid”

I am listed as a seller on Bouf and have been trying to get in touch with them for over a fortnight - I have had no reply at all to either my emails, messages via the support function on their site, their Facebook page or phone calls. I am waiting for payment for a product that I shipped in good faith on 2nd February. Avoid at all costs - not an honest or professional company.

“Cosmetic Bag”

I bought a Cosmetic Bag from www.bouf.com. Paid by Pay Pal. Waited for about couple of weeks. NOTHING! Contacted this website 3 times: twice by emails + phoned them leaving a message on their answer machine with all my details. Nothing Again!! Contacted Pay Pal Resolution Centre (also phone calls: expense to my pocket!) and opened a Claim Case. Still going through it. Bouf.com did Not Contacted Pay Pal with explanation, but they keep sending me: automated emails, saying that my item still in 'a Shopping Bag'(although I have paid for it) and keep sending me 'bullying emails,' saying that I have to close this case with Pay Pal. Also, so far in their 2 emails to me, they are saying that they despatched the item to me. But, today I received a phone call from a woman who is working for bouf.com (making those cosmetic bags for bouf.com) and she said that she did Not make any because she was on maternity leave. Further more, their web site advertising Wrongly Discount at 8%, but, by the Voucher Code they give you 6% off and NOT 8%. When I point it out to them, they don't know How that mistake could have happened. But, they still sending me those emails with Wrong discount offer. Further more, in one of the emails from bouf.com to me, they said that they phoned me, but my phone number is unobtainable; when my phone is on 24/7 because of work type I am doing. Anyway, what a 'company' this is!!! I WOULD NOT ADVICE ANYONE TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. They are: lying and manipulating a customer for their advantage, to get out of their difficult situation. This situation put me right down, make me feel 'I DONT WANT TO USE INTERNET - web sites for my shopping any more. So Much Worry over 'a little thing', like a Cosmetic Bag!!! Not worse it...

“great site for something a little bit different”

My first order was wrong and that was totally my fault. i emailed the company and they were extremely helpful.Sorted the problem. i have used three times since then and had no problems at all. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend

“Awful”

I brought an item in August this year which was damaged when recieved at no fault of my own. Bouf has not made it easy to return this item and I have been back and fourth with emails to some random email address of a guy linked to them but really isnt professional, they tried to tell me they hadnt received the faulty item only to later change their mind when I had proof it was delivered. I havent even had one apology from the company for the inconvenience from all these emails (remembering that the damage to the item wasnt my fault) a month down the line I am still fighting to get my refund which they say they are doing. DO NOT buy from here, lovely looking products but hassle if you need to return. Awful customer service

“Item wasn't as described ”

Very disappointed with the service on this site. The item I received was significantly smaller than described and it took months of emailing and sending photos before I eventually received (an agreed but rather low) partial refund. Even when the return was agreed they didn't pay it and I had to send further emails before it was received.

“Wide range of gift ideas but not good enough.”

A lot of these ideas are from a large amount of countries, and this isnt pointed out on the first page of the item listing, you have to find it out yourselves. I only realised this when i got a package from South Korea, no wonder it took so long! A few of the gifts look better online than when you receive them. I ordered quite a few gifts but unsure whether to give them now! Also, when as the items are from different vendors you have to pay individual postage for each item and they dont reduce for the postage for multiple items. The returns policy is ok but you have to spend your money to send it back to these random countries and in the end you cant be bothered with the hassle even though you feel you have been ripped off. One of my items was a ipod/iphone holder made of wood which i could have made myself! The whole site is a good idea with a good selection of items you wont find on most other generic websites but it needs changing a little. But no doubt it wont change a thing and customers will be fleeced until they realise they can get better value elsewhere.

Absolutely agree. I too bought an item from korea ordered through Bouf.co.uk. Postage stated as £2.99. I have since recieved a letter from parcelforce asking for a futher £25 for import taxes etc.... Including a whooping £14 handling charge. An item costing £43 pound is actually is now almost £80. 1-2 weeks delivery ordered 11th April and still waiting for it too arrive. Bouf need to be more upfront about real costing and timing. Needless to say I'll not be using them again.

I totally agree with your review. Cannot say more than I already have in my own review. Bouf.com is ripp off merchants. I never ever will use them again - as long as I live, and will advice others Not to!..

“ORDERED ONE TOLD TO RE-ORDER NOW HAVE TWO”

I ordred a bird feeder for my Mum's Christmas. It looked gorgeous online. A few days later I received an email saying I had not completed my order so I duly completed it again. Guess what, I received and was charged for two. On top of that neither had an important part. I emailed.....no reply. I telephoned 6 times.....answer machine, can't take your call. TO TOP IT ALL ALMOST EVERY DAY I AM RECEIVING A MESSAGE TELLING ME TO COMPLETE MY ORDER They have £80 of my money and I have two very poor quality bird feeders with missing parts. An absolute disgrace and I am looking for a refund but how when they are not contactable? HAVE THEY GONE OUT OF BUSINESS?

“Do not place an order from outside the UK”

I ordered a Christmas present from this site for my brother. It is now Mid March and he has yet to receive it. Whatever international shipping company they use to ship goods is an absolute disaster. The company does not re-deliver, does not let my brother sign to leave it at the door, and does not answer calls about when to pick up a package after the delivery attempt has been made. The fact of the matter is, my brother does work a regular 8-5 job and can not schedule a day off of work to receive a package. Most shipping companies understand this. The one Bouf chooses to use international, however, does not. I've finally had to ask for my money back, but I'm still waiting for that to happen. I'm sure Buof is reliable within the UK. But it you order from the US, expect to never receive the package and never receive a refund.

BOUF prides itself on offering first class delivery and customer service, however, it seems your parcel was delayed in transit being shipped overseas. This can happen for a number of reasons (Customs & Excise can often hold packages which causes delays, and a small fraction of parcels get lost in transit).

Should an order from BOUF not turn up, we will offer you either a replacement item to be sent out (preferably to a work address), or a full refund. Please also note that BOUF is a marketplace, so your delivery is shipped direct from the Seller, so may not ship from the UK as we have Sellers in every country worldwide.

“Great site full of unusual jewellery and house furnishings”

I recently received an e-mail from Bouf which had some great looking unusual looking pieces of jewellery, kitchenware, and gifts in it. As my husband's birthday was coming up I thought I would have a look. When in the site I discovered it is some kind of marketplace for designers from all over the world. Most of the stuff on it you would never see on the high street and they literally had thousands of great items. A pair of rocking glasses caught my eye for my husband, as he likes the odd tipple, so I bought them. At £24.00 they weren't cheap but they were certainly unusual so I thought they were worth it. I would recommend this site to anyone looking something that little bit different.

Recently been using this site got recommended to me by a friend.....

I was really shocked as I have not come across any reviews in regards to this site itself, with over a 1000 Facebook likes, I thought on the interweb there would be something in regards to this but obvioiusly not......

What Bouf sells are UNIQUE homeware and gifts for a male or female market...... However I have a feeling that they are female skewed as alot of their products are for female, which I have no problem with ;)

Delivery and Online service was fine, no problems........

Phoned them up this morning as I had a query, perfectly mannered gentleman answered my phone call, no problems what so ever
