I bought a Paolo Mark E flat clarinet as I play one only occasionally, with younger pupils starting on the John Packer instrument. That is good but lacks certain keys and for a serious clarinettist the Paolo Mark, having full keywork, is better. The Mechanism needed adjustment on arrival but after that had been done I was impressed. I'll probably change the plastic mouthpiece; it's OK but I prefer ebonite. It plays as well in tune as most Eefers & I think it's great value for money. Next gig that requires one I'll happily use it.

I bought a Paolo Mark 'Bb' Clarinet on www.guitar-warehouse.com I had played clarinet as a child and recently took it up again. I wanted something that didn't cost the earth but had a reasonable sound and was nice to play. The Paolo Mark hit the spot. It is well constructed with a black ebonite finish. All the parts work perfectly and the action was good. The sound is nice and full bodied, infact suprisingly good for the price. This clarinet was only '80 but sounded and looked like a '300 clarinet. It also came with a case and accessories. If you're starting out, a student or intermediate musician, I would highly recommend this.

This refers to the E flat clarinet, not the Bflat
