The Goodmans GDC 3116 TFT digital camera eats batteries like there going out of fashion. Software didn't work with XP as was advertised. Only lasted long enough for the 1 year warranty to expire then gave up the ghost for no apparent reason.

Generaly i like Goodmans products but have some reverance about this as the battery life is so small .I constantly keep a set of batteries on charge and have to take at least 2 sets of fully charged batteries with me. I have found that if you limit your use of the screen it gives you a little more time to take photoes. I have yet to get to the 201 image limit before the batteries die on me.

I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA AT AUGUST 2002 NOT EXPECTING AT MAYBE HAVING TO BUY SHARES IN "DURACELL". I HAVE BEEN TOTALLY APALLED BY THE BATTERY LIFE .YES THE PICTURE QUALITY IS GREAT, ESPECIALLY AT 3.1 MILLION PIXELS IT SHOULD BE, BUT EVEN AT THAT THERE IS AT LEAST A 10 SECOND DELAY IN EACH PICTURE YOU TAKE. SO ANYONE GOING TO BUY THIS PRODUCT PLEASE DON'T AS YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF SLIGHTLY ANNOYED JUST LIKE ME AND I AM SURE LIKE OTHER PEOPLE

Would be a good camera if it worked for more than 3 months without giving up on me!

All in all a good camera. It takes nice pictures in the right conditions and is fairly easy on batteries. Menus are intuitive and the TFT is good quality. Bears much more than a passing resemblance to the Mustek MDC 3000 which costs £100 less. They are identical except for the name and the price, AND mustek provide online support.

At £149.99, any digital camera is worth a look, especially when advertised at 3.1 mega pixels. This Goodmans GDC 3116 TFT has web-cam capabilities (I haven't succesfully used the goodmans as a webcam yet, anybody?), TFT screen, is pretty small and has loads of space on the memory card that comes with the camera... After owning it for 3 months now, I am still wondering whether I should have put a bit more money into the idea, only because of the things I already stated - no XP support, t ...
