In June 2011 I ordered some additional flooring to extend a wooden floor bought previously from this company. I paid in cash upfront for a special order that was supposed to take 3 weeks. Nothing arrived and there was no communication from them. None of my phone calls were returned and letters, sent recorded delivery, were ignored. We spent nearly £4000 with this company on a wooden floor. Within weeks it had started to lift. I recalled them and after months and months of delays, excuses and failure to turn up they refused to acknowledge any of it was their fault. I had an independent survey carried out by a NICF and FITA inspector and his report indicated they had fitted it badly and it was entirley their fault. I should have been wary from the rearranged quotation appointment. On the 30th September I was told that my order would be fitted within 7 - 10 days. After 3 phone calls I was given a fitting date of 27 th October . 7.45 am on the fitting day I was told that there was a problem, but the carpet would be fitted the next day or Friday at the latest, I would receive a phone call at 9.00 to confirm the day. We ordered an adhesive from Stockport flooring and paid by paypal. After weeks of chasing them the glue never arrived therefore after six weeks of placing the order we decided to cancel it. That was back in April and are still waiting for a refund. I have made over 30 phonecalls and have been told that the refund will arrive by paypal which it hasn't. I have used this company before with no problem but this time when I ordered 2 lots of Karndean worth over £1000 the money was debited from my credit card account the day after ordering but the goods hadn't been delivered after a fortnight. Just a little add on to my comments about Stockport flooring. Having cancelled my order with them, I contacted Bramley's Carpets in Stockport and placed the order which Stockport flooring was incapable of obtaining for me. The lady who I placed the order with said she would check availability and get right back to me. Within five minutes she had called back to say that they would have my flooring in by tomorrow! I've now just returned from their warehouse with it!
How's that for service. if any of you at Stockport know someone who can read, get them to read this to you.

I have had to give them a One Star, but quite frankly they don't even deserve this!!!!! I placed an order for almost £600 with this company for laminate flooring. After 4 weeks the goods still had not arrived, and was finally told by Stockport Flooring that, whilst they had received my funds via Paypal they had never received the order. Thank God for Paypal... I got my money back today via their Claims systems, but no thanks to Stockport Flooring. Despite several emails even since this problem, not ONCE have they telephoned or emailed to apologise for all the stress they have caused me and my husband. At one point we thought we had completely lost our £600 but thanks to the help of Paypal system we have been able to secure our refund. I cannot emphasise enough.... there are other companies out there on the internet who are genuine and reliable.... we know we have just found one who supplied the same goods within 4 days and they were CHEAPER!. Stockport Flooring will hopefully disappear within the not too distant future if the signs are right.... but sadly not before they have conned many others out of their hard earned cash. Despicable company.

Read the previous reviews and judge for yourself. Don't be a fool like me. I placed my order, waited 3 weeks and then got the phone call to say that they couldn't get the items I had ordered and paid for. Just to really hack me off, they said it would be 28 days before I would get my refund - Why? The guy on the phone was extremely offensive when I demanded an immediate refund and told me that his accounts department was too busy to do refunds - Really! They didn't have any trouble... Sadly I have had the EXACT same experience as yourself. Awaiting to get my £600 back from Paypal tomorrow. Fingers crossed! I pity those people still buying in faith from this company. I only wish that I had read the reviews here before I had started this whole sorry and very stressful experience. On a positive note I needed the flooring and have since purchased exact same goods from FactoryDirectFlooring. They supplied the goods within 5 days and they were cheaper!!!!!!

Hve been chasing them for months, but they never ring back,unable to speak to anyone in authority.

If so how did they get it?

Phew - I consider myself very lucky. That will teach me to chekc out a company before handing over my dosh. After they had my money for over 3 weeks, they phoned to tell me they couldn't get the product but wouldn't be able to refund me for about a month. Got straight onto Paypal and raised a dispute. Just got my money back. Hopefully, more people will report them to Paypal and get them out of business ASAP. I wish you luck in getting your money back.

I got my money back becuase I deliberately used a credit card. I claimed through them, and got my money returned. I cant beleive they are still trading - surely there must be so many people on their case. Hopeless.

Very interesting that everyone on here has exactly the same story - yes, they're cheap but they are so, so bad!! They've taken our cash and can't or won't deliver our goods. Item never turned up, had to source elsewhere and had to reschedule the fitter due to the incompetency of these cowboys. Don't expect an immediate refund, I quote " can take up to 28 days to refund". I ordered some Amtico flooring and sundries at the end of December 2010 with a promised delivery within 2 weeks. That came and went. Regular phone calls to them promised various deliveries which never materialised. After a very patient 6 weeks I cancelled my order with a promised refund. If my experience is like other reviewers here then it will likely be a fight to get my money back.
All in all a very poor shopping experience and one I will never repeat.

I am waiting for a call from the manager for an explanation but have been waiting a while.They have had my money £1341.02 for a month now.Take my advice, order somewhere else, you may pay a bit more but atleast you have a chance of getting the product. Our tradesman had diarised in one day to complete the job, and fortunately sourced the missing packs elsewhere. However, this is not the cause of our complaint...

They measured up on 7th September and ever since then I have been fobbed off with \\\" I'll get back to you\\\"...the \\\"warehouse has let me down\\\"...I can't wait for this reason..
