“Sells dangerous scooters”

Bought 2 koenji in the summer from Skate Hut for my son and daughter to enjoy, on my son's first rides turned itself off whilst braking almost resulting in a serious accident, got a replacement and after a couple of days use was placed on charge and never to turn back on. After a while of trouble shooting and on the same day of writing an email my daughter had an accident as her front wheel started to violently shake and she fell off as the wheel came off. Furious I emailed Skate Hut demanding a return of these products which are clearly unfit for purpose and dangerous, I got an offer of an upgrade from flow which I did not accept and wanted a refund. Eventually I managed a return and 6 weeks later an email which stated that the warranty was void due to the fact there where scratches in the cheap plastic base and there was grass yes GRASS on one and therefore they had been missused, no mention of the fact of the very poor batteries or the fact that my 9 and 10 year old children could of been severely injured due to the poor quality of these products. Its now December and I have nothing to show for my purchace. I definitely would not recommend this product and customer service from Skate Hut and Flow has been disgusting.

“Awful, lets blame everyone else”

Maybe i was just unlucky but my experience with Skatehut was awful. Ordering process and website was great and my order arrived on the day promised. Then it all went horribly wrong. First off after just inspecting one skate ( of course my fault ) but of course i expected to have the matching other skate. So i wrapped it for my son's birthday only to have his smile reversed once we found two different skates and both right footed. Contacted skate hut who to be fair were great and made it easy to return and promised next day delivery once returned. This never happened and after many phone calls to unhelpful uninterested staff all i was ever given was blaming the delivery firm and not taking responsibility for what is there responsibility after all they took my money for the products i ordered. mistakes do happen and im not unreasonable but to just constantly say its not our fault and hardly do anything to rectify the problem really gets to me. You were selling the skates and you took my money, who delivers them is your choice. Not pleasant to deal with and will never order with them again Happy to now say that the skates have arrived but unfortunately 10 days after my sons birthday

I’m unfortunately In the early stages of a similar circumstance with Skate Hut ie “nothing to do with us” even though they took my £1,500 + l sincerely hope they go the extra mile to make up for such a disappointment.

“Give Skatehut a Swerve!”

A contract of sale means nothing to Skatehut. They offer super winter deals, but don’t deliver on those “save up to 70%” offers. Despite receiving funds and entering into contracts with customers, they cancel orders - on delivery day - to suit them. If you are looking for last minute Christmas presents, my advice would be to give Skatehut a swerve and shop elsewhere.

Really feel like just sending the stuff back and shopping elsewhere as whilst the £10 discount would have been nice I prefer to shop where appreciated.

I bought frenzy scooter with pneumatic wheels from skate hut last week after the customer service said is the best scooter for long rides and can be used to travelling to work and back. I'm not happy with the scooter becouse is dangerous to ride, the end off the scooter was catching my foot and my trousers and I felt over. I'm experienced scooter rider adult, so I'm not just learner.I contacted the customer service today and I tried resolve the problem but all was I can't return it becouse was used and they can't resell it again!! They don't care about what I say...!!!! I bought scooter and I can't use it for what I need..so I waisted 120£ . I said the scooter deck design is bad so is catching my foot and trousers and they wheels is terrible, and the lady on customer service said " u have to use it and we can't refund u just becouse u don't like it" beware off buying from there..u can't use or try the product and return it , if is bad design and will be dangerous for u or for your child is nothing what u can do. Horrible check the item review before u buy it, and if is not review just don't buy

Customer service is the worst.great company for taking your money,fast delivery,but when it comes to sending faulty goods back,they mess you around,don't explain what they are going to do.i would never recommend this company to anyone ,avoid,avoid,avoid unless what you are ordering something that you know wont need sending back!think of the kids they are upsetting,go elsewhere

“By Far the worst Customer Service I've ever experienced”

Avoid this company!! - Ordered my item on-line, paid for it and was promised delivery before Christmas. Never used the site before and will never use them again. Item didn't arrive, however according to their records it had been delivered so they basically washed their hands of it. Told me they would take up an investigation with Royal Mail, however refused to send out replacement or refund my money. The only advise offered was to re-order the product again to get it for Christmas...REALLY! The saga continues........No concern or interest from anyone at Skate Hut

“Dishonest, incompetent and poor customer service”

I ordered from this company an item to be sent to Turkey. Their ebay advert said that they would deliver there. Almost immediately I had an email to say it had been dispatched. There was a 'track my parcel' button and it said it was at Hub 2 Birmingham. 3 days later it was still there so I emailed them to ask them to chase it up as it was a Christmas present. 2 days later I finally got a reply saying that they would do this and let me know asap what was happening asap. Nothing, 8 days after ordering it was still at Hub 2 Birmingham. So I emailed them again asking what was going on. A day later I had an email to say it had been cancelled as they don't deliver to Turkey leaving it too late for me to buy from another company. Their ebay advert still claims that they do deliver to Turkey. Which just goes to show how incompetent and dishonest they are. I never even got an apology so I will now have one disappointed daughter on Christmas day.

“Ripped off”

I bought two pro skateboard decks for my children. One of the decks fraphics started peeling off within an hour of light skating. Went back to the shop immediately and they refused refund or replacement. They said that it may be an idea for me to contact their supplier. Will be persuing them through the court under breach of statutory and consumer rights acts.

I have bought a few items over the years from Skatehut and until now I would have given them an excellent review. However if something goes wrong Do Not expect them to given your money back or for them to get back to you if you happen to make a complaint. I bought what clearly appeared to be a faulty MGP scooter from Skatehut, during my first stages of making a complaint I felt everything was going well, I was asked what course of action I wanted to take and in that they offered me the option of having either a refund , exchange or repairs I asked for the refund and there in I have been faced with excuse after excuse and now several weeks later my son has no scooter and I am £300 out of pocket ! I asked for head office address to write a formal complaint as the so called manager is also making several excuses. So my word of warning is be sure very sure that dealing with Skatehut is worth the money !!

“No refund for faulty scooter”

Poor customer service scooter was not fit for purpose when it arrived was returned requesting a full refund no refund will be given only the faulty/fixed scooter back that's son doesn't want his now spent nearly the whole summer break with no scooter and has not got his money back that he saved!!! 4-5 days to respond to emails apologising each time for not responding not happy and not complying to the sales of goods act not happy!!!

“faulty back wheel”

Hi I brought a mpg whiplash street bike from skatehut on the 12/08/2015 the staff where no at all helpful I asked him what the bike was like and he said I haven't got a clew I only know about scooters. I purchased the bike I had to carry the big box to my car on my own. After getting the bike home I had to assemble the bike together myself(Halfords build and check the bike for you). when I assembled the bike I noticed that the back wheel was wobbling from side to side like it had loose bearings. I called skatehut to tell them about this fault and they told me that I have to phone the supplier to sort it out my self because they have had a lot of issues with this make of bike. Why didn't they tell me about this before I brought it I can't see how they can be allowed to sell this bike to children with none faults. I will be contacting trading standards.do not buy from skatehut .

“Venom mini bmx”

I bought the venom mini bmx bike for my 6 year old sons birthday. However after building the bike we realised there was a fault with the back wheel. We contact customer services who told us to return the bike to be checked. After waiting 10 days we contacted them again to find out what was happening with the bike. We were told the batch of bikes received had a fault and they were waiting to receive new wheels. After another week we received the new back wheel minus the bike. After a phone call to customer services again we were told they still hadn't recieved the wheels bit of a joke since we had the wheel. After informing them this they sent the bike out the same. Needless to say I had a very happy little boy but this was short lived as this wheel had the same fault. Yet another phone call to customer services we were told all the mini bmx bikes had been recalled as they are dangerous. Seems a bit ironic when they only sent the bike out the day before. We don't quite understand or believe this excuse so since my partner had been dealing with them I rang customer services to be told they would sell me the same bike and be delivery within 24 hours. How can they sell bikes that's have been recalled. I would never use this company again.

“Crisp ultima 2014”

Dipsticks,,,,scooter deck tap all cracked after two minutes use and the two side stickers started to peel then after an one hour use headset bearings were grinding so all in all £120.00 on sale and a chimp could have done a better job at putting this together.the scooter was sent back but im still waiting for another one as ive said i dont want that one back....or just send me my money back.the thing that really is pissing me off is i told them it was a birthday pressent for my son who is asking me daily if his scooter is here.as for me saying a chimp could do a better job it's true as ive been a mechanic for 25 years and i would never of let a pile of junk like that go to anyone.and to this day im still waiting for my scooter or my cash,the communication is really poor would never again for as long as i live buy from these fools again.if any of the fools needs to reply to me then they are more than welcome to do so.pile of numbnuts avoid at all cost

“Still waiting for parts of order”

Ordered a skateboard deck and parts for my son to custom build his own skateboard. Arrived next day as advertised on website only problem was the grip tape they sent was to short! Phoned skate hut who promised to send another one. We are still waiting 9 days on! I have phoned them a second time but still waiting. This is really disappointing for my son who as spent his birthday money and cannot use or build the skateboard as the tape has to go on first.

“Dangerous product”

We had as a family bought scooters from skatehut in the past without any trouble. But the Slamm scooter sold to us at the end of 2014 firstly broke a bearing and had to be repaired and then completely broke at a weld and caused my son to end up having medical treatment. The skatehut team when give the evidence of faulty manufacture in photos (the scooter was on the flat and the metal just sheared off) treated it like it was nothing. It was a disgraceful response by their service team. This issue is still ongoing but as parents we are outraged, and the quality of the products being sold is well under par.

“will never use again”

after a decent start my package was lost then i encountered the terrible customer service, illiterate staff caused my non delivery, rambling excuses and 1 hour 47 mins on hold(!) numerous emails not replied to, finally got sense from a decent supervisor but was far too late in my opinion. by the time my order finally was dispatched (a month later!) 3 of the 5 items were out of stock! spoiled my sons christmas present wish list and really left a bad taste. will definitely never use this company again!

“Disgusting customer service ”

Never ever buy anything from these people , once they have got ur money they become the rudest creatures . My for end bought a paid of skates for my son as a present and once we revived them we took him out to try them as he was naturally very excited, within the first few minutes one if the buckets kept coming loose and it became obvious that it was faulty and dangerous so we took them off and emailed them straight away sending them picture evidence of the fault and everything , it took them over three weeks and many emails and phone calls till we managed to send the item back and over a month on we are still being refused an exchange to another pair or a refund and they want to repair the faulty one and send it back to us. We paid for a brand new skates and recieved a faulty one and they expect us to accept a repaired paid which can still have health and safety issue , they are totally rude and unhelpful and they basically don't want to know, do not buy from these people if u value ur time and energy

“bungling idiots”

Don't buy from this place.. They just want your money and don't care about customer service... Examples.. 1) long phone call to ensure various parts would fit with an existing scooter (including sending details by email). Parts didn't fit, needed oversize bars! 2) sent out head set with bits missing (replied.. "oh... some people buy and return stuff but keep some bits... not our fault" well actually it is! 3) sent out scooter forks without bolt, nut and spacer... this is not service
