* Rose is the fantastic first book in the Rose Series by Holly Webb.
To family and friends, I would describe Rose as entertaining, exciting and certainly very magical.
Rose, an-about-ten-year-old orphan at St Bridget's Home for Abandoned Girls, unexpectedly gets a job as a servant in the magical house of Mr. Fountain, a very rich alchemist.
But things start to get very weird...
I like this book because it is different and interesting. I think the era that Rose is set in (about the 1900s)... (read more)
