“Excursion 1 jour à Shimoni - Kisite Marine Park et Wasini”

★★★★★

written by Saron-Wavre on 25/02/2014

“Also known as Lilac Adventures Ltd”

★★☆☆☆

written by vickster1979 on 30/05/2011

We went on safari to Kenya with these last November. Went under the name Julias bu actually parent company is Lilac Adventures. We planned for months in advance and decided on an expensive 3 night stay in Mara Serena Masai Mara during our stay. They told us the day before that we would not be staying there making up that the government had booked the whole hotel. They made no attempt to sort it out and we were therefore stranded and forced to stay on much lower standard accomodation. Very upsetting and dissapointing as for us this was a once in a lifetime holiday. They signed and agreement to refund us $1000 USD by end of November 2010 and we are still battling with them! save yourselves the money and aggravation and book with someone else.

Booked with Julius Tact Safaris in the UK. Emails answered promptly and lots of choices to help us decide on what we wanted. This was the BEST decision we ever made. All the reviews we had read were absolutely true. A private safari for two in a Land Cruiser
Went to Tsavo East then on to Tsavo West where we stayed at the Kilaguni Lodge . Our safari guide Maxwell (the best!!) helped us to check in only too find we didn't have a room BUT!!!!! The Kilimanjaro Suite!!!
Julius phoned to ask if everything was good with our safari and was the room at the lodge ok??!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you again Julius & Maxwell for what was one of the best experiences of our lives.
WE WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND JULIUS TACT SAFARIS 100%

We have arrived back safely in the UK after an great week at the Voyager. We used Julius JT Safaris for our amazing safari to Shimba Hills and our fabulous trips to Mombasa and Haller Park.

Our guide spent the day with us,taking us around Mombasa and then to Haller Park.He was very friendly and as he chatted to us during the day,he was full on interesting information and made us feel very comfortable. We saw all the areas of Mombasa we wanted to visit and had plenty of time ,not feeling rushed at all. Our guide was especially good at the craftsman's village as he knew so many workers and he helped us to chat easily with them. Please could you thank him for a really great day!

Another guide took us to Shima Hills. He was really great as well. He really looked after us on the journey up to the Hills. As we entered Shimba Hills Reserve he found us animals on every turn! We were so amazed,he seemed to know exactly where the animals would be that early in the day! It really helped our son to relax and enjoy each animal. The walk to Sheldrick Falls is wonderful and we were grateful our guide had purchased water for us! That part of the trip is really worthwhile too.We were taken for lunch and our guide was so relaxed and helpful in telling us everything we needed to know. When we went for the afternoon drive he found the Sable Antelopes for us and we spent over half an hour being able to watch as he turned off the engine and let us enjoy it!

I would recommend Julius to everyone for value for money and giving you the service and experience you want to really make your holiday fabulous

We went on a 3 day safari to Tsavo West & Amboseli, it was arranged through JT Safari's & would thoroughly recommend going with them instead of other well known tour operators. The price was very reasonable & the service was fantastic. Our driver was very good, very informative & he had a very good eye for spotting the animals. We arranged our trip with JT Safari's before we were on holiday & contacted our driver via email to arrange a meeting for when we were in Kenya, he was very responsive with emails & very helpful.
When we were in Kenya we met with him outside the hotel as they dont allow him in the hotel due to the driver offering a better price/service than the tour operators that the hotel uses.We stayed at the fantastic Kiliguni Lodge in Tsavo West, our room was number 27 & it had the most amazing views. Thank you very much for the most amazing safari.

written by Redfreds on 06/04/2009

We used JT Safaris on our Africa Safari to fly to the Masai Mara for 4 days / 3 nights, inclusive of a ballon trip. The whole experience was exhilarating and made effortless by all the staff. We had contacted then prior to departure and paid a small deposit on our trip. He was very professional and telephoned us on the day we arrived to arrange a meeting and finalise our plans. Everything we had asked for and could hope for was delivered. Be careful, as there is another Julius Safaris that we cannot vouch for.

written by tichanme on 25/03/2009

Jt Safaris operate from their office opposite the Neptune Village Paradise in Diani Beach about 40km south of Mombasa and gives a remarkable and quite unique safari experience. No pressure sales and works with you to maximise your perhaps once in a lifetime opportunity. Each party always has their own vehicle - so no fighting for a viewpoint and your own dedicated driver/guide. The vehicle was modern, clean, well maintained and re-stocked daily with a generous supply of ice chilled bottled water. Our driver/guide had a very good in-depth knowledge of all of the parks and spent as long or as little time as we wanted viewing and photographing etc.

“We were holidaying at Kole Kole on Diani Beach and...”

★★★★★

written by The Tylers on 15/02/2009

We were holidaying at Kole Kole on Diani Beach and discovered JT Safaris on Trip Advisor before we left and decided to go on a 3 day safari to Tsavo East and West, which turned out to be a most stimulating and exciting adventure.

We booked it direct over email from the UK and paid a deposit, we met up at Kole Kole the day before to finalise arrangements and everything went smoothly from there on.

our driver was very friendly and personable (and very punctual, which we were not! Sorry!) and was particularly skilled in spotting the wildlife, of which we have some tremendous photos! We saw 4 out of the Big 5 - the rhinos were hiding unfortunately...

We stayed at the Ngulia and Aruba Lodges. Ngulia seemed quite tired and worn out but clean with good facilities, whilst Aruba was brand new, with excellent facilities. We could've stayed at Aruba a lot longer! We saw a herd of 25 elephants come down to the watering hole outside of the lodge garden area. It was a spectacular scene to behold!

After a fantastic safari experience we decided to use the same company to arrange another trip for us. We chose Paradise Lost which included a boat trip to Funzi Island to visit a local village and school (bring lots of pens and notebooks for the school children), a boat ride through the mangrove swamps looking for crocodiles but found lots of crabs instead, and got very muddy walking through the brackish river to the guesthouse where we experienced a most delightful and delicious lobster, crab and fish lunch, washed down with lots of Tusker beer and wine. After lunch we visited a sand-bank in the middle of the estuary where we swam in turquoise blue water. The final leg of our trip was in an old Arab Dhow in which we sailed back to where we started from that morning. Excellent day out! Highly recommended! Our experience was made more enjoyable by our excellent guide who wove named bracelets for all the ladies in the party!

Well done JT Safaris and thank you! We are already booking for November 2009!

“I used Julius Safaris (website:...”

★★★★★

written by FayeW on 08/02/2009

I used Julius Safaris (website: http://www.julius-safaris.com/ ). It was excellent. They have lots of contacts so you can do the safari you want, when you want. I found a lot of the package deals with holiday companies cram lots of people into a van and only leave on set dates for set times.

Julius can offer you a fully flexible service and specialises in private safaris so you can enjoy your own space and spend as much time as you want with the animals without being hurried along. My driver stopped for every single animal I wanted (and there were a lot!) so I could take as many photos as I liked. This really made the experience special as I really felt I was making the most of my time. I can't imagine wrestling with 7 people in a van to all try and swap round to look out the top or whizzing past just because we had already stopped for that animal before! Realistically only 4 people can look out the open top of the van at a time.

Julius's trips are very well organised, the drivers are punctual and very friendly and helpful. They are a mine of information for the local area and seem to have an amazing knack of spotting even the most shy of animals! Julius also uses really high quality lodges so you get the best experience. Again, the package tours often use inferior lodges and charge much more for the better ones. Julius offers excellent value for money and checks to make sure you have had a good time before accepting full payment so you needn't worry about sending money abroad or booking with him. You are in very safe hands and you won't be disappointed, in fact I think you will be suprised at how well your trip went when you speak to others in the resort who went with the package deals. Local operators know their stuff and know how to get you the best deal and the best experience. A high point was seeing huge herds of animals crossing the savannah and getting to see animals really close up and personal at the water holes.

I booked 2 other day trips to Mombasa and Wasini through Julius and they were also excellent. Kisite national park is amazing and Julius's trips mean you go into the coral reefs in the park (fees included in your trip price) rather than skimming around the outside like some trips do. You wouldn't want to miss the actual park, the variety of fish is amazing, you see so much just snorkelling.

Thanks Julius for making my time in Kenya so special. No way I would have fit everything in without your help. Asante Sana!

My wife and I travelled to Kenya for the first time 20 Dec. We took a Safari with JT Safaris, located opposite the Neptune Paradise Village, we booked a private safari for a fraction of the price. The staff were very helpful and on the morning of the safari we were met and introduced to our driver. We had an excellent safari, our driver informed us about the habits fo each animal, how they live, what they eat, pointed out tracks to us. Had we known how good the safari would be we would have booked for longer, definately the best part of the holiday. We would fully reccommend JT Safaris, Felt totally Safe, Private Driver, Well looked after 1st class service, best holiday ever!

A great experience! We were twice in Kenya and we've had various safari experiences, but we really have to recommend Julius JT safaris! Having heard about Julius on internet, we decided to plan this years safari with him. He arranged for us two outstanding trips this year, perfectly corresponding to our special wishes. Best prices, absolutely fair treatment, plenty of information and superb service along with family atmosphere makes JT Safaris (www.julius-safaris.com) simply the best operator you can imagine. We'll trust Julius on every other Kenya holiday in the future.

“My most important reasons for our decision to visit...”

★★★★★

written by safis on 24/01/2008

My most important reasons for our decision to visit this beloved Kenya was that we wanted to go on the best safari we have been dreaming. So before leaving, we researched different safari operators by reading reviews, looking at their web sites and comparing safari prices. After reading some excellent reports we made our decision that it was JT SAFARIS the because even being based locally the was the best reviews from many people of different countries. It is run by a run by young Kenyan man who operates from an Orange Hut at USHAGO (African Village Shopping Centre) just opposite Diani sea Resort. We contacted him via email and explained the kind of safari we wanted, the dates and discussed prices. At our request he arranged a 4days safari Tsavo east/west/Amboselli with my family only in the van,
We finally met the day after we'd arrived. We just walked to his office and we re affirmed that everything was in order as we arranged. The safari was brilliant and the best i ever had in my life. Our driver was a very careful driver and an excellent guide. He never rushed and would take time to point out all the animals and answer any questions we had. He also went out of his way to make sure that we got to see all of the big 5. It is truly amazing to see all the big 5,the landscapes with best hotels and camps with excellent view. Julius is very cheap and can garantee good price -quality.
.We had an adventure that we will remember forever with my family and my comment to you all "Jt Safaris makes your dream come true
All in all our holiday in Kenya was the best and all our expectations came to be true.
Thanks Jt Safaris and your well organised team,
