That's a total of eight windows, one back door and French windows to the garden. The job took just two days, and we are extremely pleased with the result. Due to the fact that our hall has a very low ceiling we needed a shorter door than normal and had tried other well-known double glazing companies without success. Brackenwood went to some trouble to source the perfectly sized door for us and even managed to match the glazing bars to those of our other windows. Initially I was very hesitatnt about removing the beautiful Edwardian bay window, but having made the decision, I have to say that the French doors actually enhance the room and look lovely from the garden too. We had a new front door fitted by Brackenwood about a year ago. We have had nothing but problems since the outset. Initially I returned home from work to find the door they fitted was the wrong one! The replacement door was eventually fitted but was such an awful job we had to call them out again. Since then the door 'bleeds', it's a composite door in red and now has what looks like white toothpaste marks running through the grain effect. The door swings open violently - so it's not... Brackenwood wish to respond to the review entered by this customer as follows. Brackenwood take customer satisfaction very seriously; it is the foundation on which our business has been successfully trading since 1987. Up until the posting of this review, no member of Brackenwood staff was aware that the customer had any issues with their door. Immediately following notification of this review, contact was made with the customer and a site visit was conducted by a senior Director of the company to carry out an inspection. Rectification works have been agreed and will be carried out in the near future. We wish to reassure present and prospective customers of Brackenwood that we never shy away from issues raised with us by our customers.

As we stated in our review, we only received a reply after posting this review which was two weeks after our initial message we left Brackenwood requesting someone contact us regarding issues we were having with the door. Seems a customer has to go to extreme lengths to get something done. That said, we have been promised work to be carried out until we are 100% satisfied. Fantastic, if that happens but we still wouldn't use Brackenwood again.

Brackenwood installed all our rainwater goods, sofits, fascias and replaced all of the windows in our new house. Although we had some issues with roof ventilation, we were impressed at their willingness to help find a workable solution and the installation team were always pleasant, polite and tidy returning several times until they knew we were satisfied. The windows team were also very pleasant and we felt confident that they knew what they were doing, finished and tidy all on schedule. (read more)
