“Appalled with customer service”

When I placed my order I was surprised to notice that their installation and fittings fee was only £20, particularly as I was ordering a gas cook. I decided to call to double check and someone from the customer service department assured me this included the installation of my gas cooker. When the delivery man arrived on his own he informed me that the installation fee was actually only for the washing machine not for the cooker. I hadn't heard of fires-cookers before let alone used them. I was looking for a dish washer and when I had chosen the make/model I wanted they were easily the cheapest on my web search. Best of all they offered a Saturday delivery for my area and it was also free. I received a telephone call from the delivery man on Friday to say dish washer would be delivered the next day between 9-10am. At 9:02am it arrived. (read more)

Just bought a brand new fridge freezer and washing machine from Fires-Cookers and their service was top notch. Calling them is a bit of a pain and the hold times are high but they delivered the goods (free of charge) the driver rang my wife an hour before he arrived and he delivered the goods bang on time. Their online tracking system they promise didn't work which wasn't the most convenient but apart from that we will definitely be using Fires-Cookers again. (read more)

I dealt with Adam throughout, we asked for a fridge and cooker, the fridge was unavailable for wekks, Adam came up with an alternative that was not only a better price but was superior. The sevice has been superb the delivery driver was brilliant, it was a very awkward drop. So thank you to all,and when we need anything else I shall know where to go. (read more)

Great service from a family business. Ordered a cooker and they delivered it free of charge on a Saturday! It was like buying from my local shop. The only difference was Fires-cookers had the cooker in stock and delivered free of charge even though they are in Leicester and I am in London. I called my local shop and they did not have the item, would only deliver on a weekday and wanted £10 for delivery. If my local shop wants to stay in business they need to up their game!! After looking at what seemed like hundreds of washing machines I finally found the one I wanted. The Hotpoint AQ9D692uv had a huge drum and a five year parts guarantee. The washer performs well and is very quiet whilst being able to load it with a huge load. I could only find one place selling it for under £400 which turned out to be a large independent shop in Leicester trading online as fires-cookers.co.uk I first found them on Kelkoo and having read their reviews which were pretty good... The prices are good.

Delivery was on the correct day, no phone call though, just arrived. The delivery people then tried to leave the washing machine on the driveway, saying they just deliver to driveways???

I did try and query them on their price promise as I found the product cheaper before they delivered it, but they came up with some random clause and didn't pay.

Still, at the end of the day, got the product for a good price, just don't expect any frills and who believes the price... (read more)

We purchased a Valor fire from Fires-Cookers 3 days before Christmas and they managed to deliver on Christmas Eve.
