Good and powerfull at the start, them the premotor filter gets blocked up really easy with dust n you have to bang it out every other time you use the hoover, after 3 months the premotor filter isnt covered by warranty. Mine needed replaced after a month, n it needs replaced again! The brush gets clogged up really bad n u have to cut the hair out of it!! Powerfull hoover but hassel++++ to maintain, wont be gettin annother1

There's nothing I like about this Vax Power 6 Pet cylinder cleaner. It's heavier than I'd expected, the hose keeps twisting around itself or the cleaner or me. To empty the dust container, there are two parts which need emptying separately. All the buttons and twist-locks are infuriatingly stiff. Removing the hose is a nightmare: two tiny little "buttons" must be squeezed together on either side to release the hose, they are fiddly and stiff and hurt my hands. The metal tubing keeps falling off just below my hands, the attachments are very hard to fix properly to the end of the metal tube.This is a product for someone with a strong back, wrists and hands, who likes a challenge and possesses a great deal of patience! It's very good at picking up hairs, dust and has even sucked up a TV Guide and a box of tissues but it's SO exhausting to use. You can make it easier by turning the power down but then it doesn't pick up. Also, when you turn it off, it drops bits of dust and fluff out again so I have to use my trusty Dustbuster to clear up afterwards - ridiculous. I dread using this Vax, it is impossible to "quickly run the hoover around" because using it is a major ordeal. Maybe it would make a cheap alternative to joining a gym for work-outs? I found myself looking longingly at a cheap and cheerful cleaner for sale in the local supermarket, whilst other people were doing the same over cream cakes and chocolate! Horrible vacuum cleaner. I hate it.
