“Shoddy product”

Written on: 02/04/2013 by Golem2012

Bought this kettle and within a year it started leaking, giving me an electric shock. The chrome began to come off after about 6 mts and the overall appearance looked very worn. After 1.5 years I returned it to delonghi who told me it was my fault for using the kettle, and accused me of not treating the kettle properly thus leading to the bad appearance of the external veneer. The keelt costs about £80 and I was very uphappy with the service from delonghi and the accusations from delonghi... (read more)

“Developed Rust Within 2 Months”

Written on: 16/03/2013

When your cup of tea has rust in it within 2 months of purchasing this kettle there is a definite case for not recommending this product. Admittedly, the product looks good and is priced OK but rusting of the so called stainless on the inside of the kettle gives it a 1 star review. Don't buy. (read more)

“Do not buy”

Written on: 10/12/2012 by DavidPMolloy (1 review written)

Bought just over a year ago, the stuck on logo fell off quite early on. The stainless steel metal ring is indeed plastic. Discovered this when it too fell off. Just started to leak at the base and soon to be occupying landfill. Also, very loud. Lid is very tight too. Looks good, yes. Bad quality, yes. Avoid. (read more)

I choose to get this in a black gloss colour (although not my favourite that this range comes in, it suited my kitchen the best) and I was afraid that it may easily scratch, but so far, this has not been a problem.

The kettle holds 1.7L and boils super fast, although yes,... (read more)

I had seen mixed reviews on this beauty but the styling veered me towards the positives and I'm glad it did. It is sheer class. The Ferarri of Kettles - as it is Italian! I had see some reviewers on retail websites moan about the noise but it is highest power rating Kettle you can buy at 3000 Watt, that, combined with a Stainless Steel body it's bound to have some grunt!! A true Ferarri with the class Italian style that goes with it. Boils in next to no time and I never had any taint issue... (read more)

Good point - A very stylish kettle that looks great in the kitchen. Bad points - Extremely loud to boil, can even hear it upstairs when it's on. Water level indicator is hard to see, on/off switch is flimsy. Still love it though. (read more)
