Overall the best rifle i have owned. Very light rifle that is accurate and with the new carbon silencer very quiet. I have owned many other sometimes vastly more expensive rifles that have not felt as good as this. It should have had a scope rail instead of barrel mounts but not a huge problem.

After 25 rifles Chinese American and European, springers and C02's I decided to try the 2260 as an economical project. I wanted to see how good a gun could be had for as little money as possible. Especially since spending close to $175 at Crosmans Custom Shop earlier! Now you should know I don't have any reservations about taking my gun apart and working on it so maybe thats why I give the 2260 such high marks.I polished the trigger, Cleaned the Barrel using Miltech brand cleaner lube, (used by ...

I think that this is not a very good gun i would chose xs 79 over the Crosman - Rabbitstopper. It is rubbish and far distances and it uses a lot of gas and it is expensive

I bought this gun new from bates of stafford two years ago as a present for my son, what a mistake. It is the most inaccurate gun I have had the displeasure to own, and that is with tele;s on. Power is so varied that you can get flyer out of every 5 shots, when you have changed the bulb to a new one you have to fire to empty shots off to get the gun back to full power. All in all I should have bought a springer as this gun has nearly put my son off the sport of shooting for life. Use it as a cru ...

The Crosman 2260 is easy to load even when cold. In my experience the co2 is hard to get out as you have to shake the gun and you cant unscrew it very well when it is cold. As a plinking gun it is brilliant. As a target gun it is OK and as a hunting gun it is not very good in my opinion.

I love this rifle so easy to use if you get a good scope you will to, i got this rifle off of my friend for £50 and it is well worth the money, it goes for about 130 in the shops and i would of payed this if i didn't get it off my friend. I can get 1/2 inch groups for 30 yards easy. I went out at the weekend and had 9 crows and 3 rabbits would recommend to anyone!

For the money it is hard to beat this little plinker. I would not call this a rabbitstopper. It would more likely wound it. Rats and mice is more this guns quarry. I got 35 shots out of a powerlet before power dropped off considerably. For under 100 dollars Canadian, it is a hard value to beat. Easily moddable, for more accuracy, with steel breech, and scope. Easily knocked down, plastic bowling pins, from 20 meters. 1/2 inch groups at that distance, is quite possible. This is a 2007 model, so ma ...

I bought this gun knowing it had a few shortcomings. Plastic breech, heavy pull, mostly plastic trigger mechanism. When I received the gun I added a $29 steel breech, adjusted the trigger, (which was extremely easy), added a scope and the gun will shoot quarter or better groups at 25 yards. With the stock valve it would shoot about 35 accurate shots. With a modded valve and heavier hammer spring, (about 10% performance increase), It goes for 21 shots before accuracy starts to go. Very fun gun th ...

Good air rifle for the price. I payed £150 for my Crosman 2260 Rabbitstopper and it has enough power and I find it very light to carry. When I target shoot I do not miss the target each time. Excellent! I would tell my friends to buy one for the power, weight, looks and it is American.

Crosman 2260 Rabbitstopper - For a living I'm a writer and retired guide. Long time writer of shooting products. Member OWAA Outdoor Writers Association of America. Since some users left poor ratings as a rabbit stopper. Plain and simple they must not have the any ability of shot placement............ It has good accuracy for 50 to 60 foot shots. I have killed rabbits and squirrels, which by the way are harder to kill than wabbits! Has good power on fresh CO2 cartridge for the first 30+ ...

Crosman 2260 Rabbitstopper is an excellent choice for younger shooters as a starting point. Not being a spring or pump rifle it makes user friendly rifle operation for those with limited strength. This gun propels a .22 pellet only 80 feet per second, slower than a Sheridan .22 model 392 which I have down crows with. I guess the shooter must be able to hit the mark to prove a point of its killing capabilities!

Oh dear ! What can I say ? , awful awful awful.
Rabbit-stopper is hardly the description I would give it, more likely the Rabbit would stop to laugh at its power, have a wash, then hop off. You'd be better using it as a club or a door-prop , because it certainly aint no "Rabbit stopper".
The only use you could possibly have for this rifle is as a backyard plinker for your kids, or chock your car wheels with it.

The Crosman 2260 Rabbitstopper is a great gun for a good price. It is light to carry on long marathon hunts, extremely accurate and kills rabbits with ease. All this, calls for a great gun!! I recommend it.

For what this Crosman 2260 Rabbitstopper is it's as good as they come. I shoot springers to and they do pack more punch and so on. Generally speaking, they also cost a lot more. This gun will lay down a .22 pellet at 625 fps+ right out of the box. It's a CO2 so, no springer kick.
I put a scope on mine as soon as I took it out of the packing (I never had any intention of using the open sights on it, why do you think they call it a "Rabbitstopper"?). I find that I get a good 10 shots on target ...

I see everyone complaining about specific points of the Crosman 2260 Rabbitstopper, but to me, it's unfounded. Sure, the breech, triggerguard, and trigger are plastic, but it's not the flimsy stuff a CD comes packaged in. Personally, I prefer the peep sight from the factory, and shot well enough out of the box. What are you guys doing to this gun that you are breaking the sights? Yes, I know - plastic, but so are sights on many conventional firearms today, as well, and they last quite well i ...

My dad bought a Crosman 2260 Rabbit Stopper around 2 years ago from a local store for around £130 along with a cheap 4x20 scope. The initial intention was for older members of the family to be able to use it (any excuse for another gun!) due to the lack of recoil, however it had little use until around two months ago when I found it in a cupboard, wiped off the dust and decided to have a quick plinking session.
The first thing that struck me about this rifle was the gorgeous walnut stoc ...
