In my opinion this printer is bad. It prints in good quality and even on waded paper without a smudge. Unfortunately it has also sucked up too much ink and has leaked while printing. Its also quite slow to print, only about 3-4 pages per minute. (read more)

Good basic printer for test and color.
No scanner or fax - but I have a 3-in-1 already and prefer this for the kids and for general color as its cheap alround.
For very high quality which I rarely use - and would probably use Asda's digital reprint service as it would probably be cheaper, higher quality and less overall headaches for me. (read more)

the Canon BJC-1000 inkjet printer is a good buy for the novice or general home user ! Very reliable made of very durable parts. Printing text quicker requires changing to a BC-02 cartridge (black) from a BC-05 (color).. Note this model only comes with a BC-05 (color) and you must buy a BC-02 (black) but printing text with a BC-02(black) isn't really much slower than other inexpensive printer... Not to mention that this printer is better built (durability & reliabilty) than any other... (read more)

Despite the fact that it prints slower than many of the printers available in the market, it is indeed a good buy if it deals with mere black-and-white text printing. Effect of the print-outs is satisfactory though not impressive. (read more)

Often this printer can be bought at close-out for less than the price of the ink jet cartridge that is included.
The ink in the Canon cartridge included seems to dry fast and not smear.
The print speed is the slowest I have ever seen in an inkjet printer.
This printer only works with Windows operating systems. (read more)
